i mean...... this was underwhelming at best.
there wasnt one whole fucking sensible plotline in the whole chapter.. none of it made sense. like, what the fuck did i just see?!

Alright , lets speak about somethings .
When i played WIAB for the first time , there was 7 chapters out already but the game develpment was in pause .
I remember that when you opened the game a blue screen with white and yellow words was giving the players a few warning about wiab , one of those warning was "im reworking wiab from chapter 1 through 5 , so those first 5 chapters are being reworked/remade , chapter 6 and 7 wont be touched" the main reason for the rework was not because of bad quality of anything , he said that the game was reaching a point where he didnt liked it and he thought about some others things that he liked more. With that being said , i'm pretty sure that he dont have any of his project write down ( virtual or physical ) , he is creating through the motions , otherwise he would have read everything again because of all the changes that he did in his games.
Now theres a new WIAB , i personaly like this one a bit more , the old one i hated miru with all my heart and i did break up with her in all opportunities i had. In this one she way more likeable and very good looking . I dont know what to make of about the whole family mafia thing , of course theres plenty of games like that out there, i played a few and enjoyed a lot but those games had stated about mafia and sch since the beginning , getting introduced to different story in the middle of something is kinda weird , im not saying i dont like it , im just saying it is weird , since not this new one or the old wiab had anything with families.
Honestly my biggest concern is that we arent going to see the end of those games that he has planned to do.

tis the story for so many great VNs we have had over the last several years.. and its not likely to change.. at some point you need to disconnect your hopes and expectations and just enjoy things while they last then move onto the next

Agree with everything you typed except the pacing. I don't think the pacing was off at any point. It was consistent throughout the entire game, even the new chapter.
What you should be criticizing is the extreme tonal shift introduced by chapter 4. Everything was flowing nicely until you get to Leia's house. Then suddenly you start playing a completely different game. Suddenly there are families and mobs and retarded rules that make no fucking sense. Some characters suffer a dramatic shift in personality. The plot just goes off the rails.

This. The lack of incest is not a problem but Chapter 4 feels like a very different game. I expected major story differences but the tone is só different that everything seems off to me. It just dosen't feel like a continuation of the story - with in true it wasn't- but Ocean needs to redo the first chapthers, I can't shake the feeling that I was in a car and the drive did a 180 out of the blue

Love the game but damn, Ocean really doesn't know how to do sex scenes. The renders are beautiful but it's so... boring. It lacks interaction, intimacy, anything that would actually turn people on seeing it. He makes it as basically a 10-sec animation of some positions that loops around while the characters remain silent, no moaning, sex talk, anything... It's boring af.
