UPDATE: Massive Prep-Work, Routes & Computer – June 25, 2021

Hello everyone, I hope that this finds you well and that you are all ready to get your weekend started, if it hasn’t already started yet!

It is that time again to provide an update to everything that has been going on around here, including the incredibly HUGE mess that I had created for all of us, entitled: “Chapter Two” to the Prologue of “Wicked Choices: Agents of Karma” … boy, this dang thing really could be a game on its own, it is that large!!

Since our last update, I had been focusing on assembling the stuff needed for the last section (that we call the “Escort Sex Scene”) route that you all will be able to choose and access in “Chapter Two” by your choices made throughout that chapter.

Unlike the previous scenes, that you could also get, this one is… by far… much LARGER with 9 possibilities and outcomes, each with the possibility of 6 variations per possibilities…

…in layman’s terms, so that you can better understand:

For each character pose that takes place in the scene, depending on your choices, there are 6 variations of that pose (female fully dressed/male fully dressed, female partially undressed/male fully dressed, female partially undressed/male partially undressed, female nude/male fully dressed, female nude/male partially undressed, female nude/male nude) that had to be created for each of those poses and to reflect the progress of the story depending on the choices that you make.

Multiply all those possible outcomes of outfit combinations by 20-30 potential poses needed for each of the 9 sexual options that you will experience in that route and you are looking at around 1,620 possible combinations of setups that I had to create for the characters to have injected in the scenes that needs to be rendered for that section to be completed.

Which is what I’ve been doing, doing the character poses, doing the variations and injecting those possibilities into the scene, saving each scene for rendering and will begin the process of rendering everything for that route this weekend and coming week.

Once done with that, I will be injecting all of those renders and associated text into the TWINE for the Programmer (Epadder) and Editor/Sound Engineer (Sierra3) to assemble into the game and once their task is done, beta test it and send it out to all of you to play!!

So, won’t be too much longer.

And, will jump right into doing the much smaller release of “Chapter Three” and, hopefully, get us onto a regular monthly release schedule for all of you (and for mine and the staff’s sanity)!

I am SO LOOKING FORWARD to getting back to doing SMALLER and REGULAR releases, rather than this HUGE monster that I created and have been working religiously on for what feels like the birth of Christ (or at least the Antichrist)!!

The only other situation of note, to update all of you on (to keep this update as short as possible, so I can get back to work here), is:

While working on building my new computer system, I quickly discovered… due to my back surgery and the condition of my neck and back… that it would be better for me, physically, to just take my system and the components into a company to build my computer for me.

At present time, I am unable to physically stay hunched over for long periods of time and wresting a 45-pound computer case to put everything together and still be able to stand straight or live without pain the next day.

While I can technically do it myself, I can’t physically do it myself, not without straining the neck and back and, with the wife’s “two cents”, decided that hurting myself would only complicate things and make my daily work much more difficult and require me to take meds to help ease the pain.

Meds to ease the pain is what caused this HUGE MESS of “Chapter Two” to the Prologue of “Wicked Choices: Agents of Karma” to be SO BIG in the first place and don’t want to get another “Hey, I got a really GREAT IDEA for the next game release” idea again.

So, I took the computer in to Micro-Center and have paid them to finish assembling the new computer for me and hopefully will have that back soon, hooked up and running (would make rendering much quicker and easier on me).

And… there you have it, a current update for all of you!!!

I am going to get back to work here, start rendering all of this stuff so that I can finish this last section up…

Nice to hear you see the silver lining on the horizon.
Multiply all those possible outcomes of outfit combinations by 20-30 potential poses needed for each of the 9 sexual options that you will experience in that route and you are looking at around 1,620 possible combinations of setups that I had to create for the characters to have injected in the scenes that needs to be rendered for that section to be completed.
That reminds me of combinatorics, factorial and the "evil" use of the "!" operator.

UPDATE: BACK IN BUSINESS!!! – July 9, 2021

Hello everyone, I hope that this finds you well and, for those that live in the U.S., that you survived the July 4th holiday and kept all of your fingers and toes!

I am pleased to report that on Monday, July 5th, I woke to the wonderful news that my system was ready to pick up; I’ll admit, I was a bit stressed over the holiday weekend because we ran into an unforeseen problem with the system, that required a complete teardown of all the work that had been put into it.

For those who are considering purchasing the ASUS Z590 ROG Maximus XIII Extreme Glacial Motherboard, or any of their motherboards that is 10th/11th gen ready, BE AWARE… the M.2_1 4.0 PCIE slot on the Motherboard is ONLY for systems using INTEL 11th gen processors!!

If you put a 10th Gen Chip (which I did, as Intel’s 11th gen only has 8 cores and have been known to run HOTTER than they should) and put a card in the M.2_1 slot, it will NOT recognize that card or ANY of your hard drives!!

You’ll have to do a tear down (in our case, drain the coolant, remove the Motherboard’s Water Block, take out the card, put it in the M.2_2 3.0 PCIE slot, reattach the water block, re-add the coolant, do another preload, pressure test and then finish your build… a real pain in the butt!!

So, I was surprised and OVERJOYED to get the news on Monday that the guy worked the weekend and the holiday to get the system finished for me and brought her home on Monday morning.

As you can see, she is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL (and a bit heavy and a monster)!!!

I also spent most of this week porting data over, setting up my hard drive array and installing software onto her and am now back to work on the game!

Even without the second 3090 GPU in her, she is AWESOME and it is going to take me a little bit to get used to not stressing and worrying about getting the dreaded Blue Screen of Death every time I click “Render”.

Of course, to try and help me get over that worry, the first thing I did when I got everything loaded onto her, was to test it with a scene that kept crashing my other system, causing me untold amounts of stress and frustration…

…the scene that I designed to introduce a new Valkyrie character that will help to move the story forward and explain a change in one of the main characters in “Chapter Two” of the Prologue to “Wicked Choices: Agents of Karma”.

This is the scene, minus the character(s) as I want to leave the new character as a surprise to all of you; but, as you can see, the scenery is immense and quite polygon, texture and geometry heavy! And, while the old system DID try to render it… reporting that it would take between 2 to 3 hours to render it would only get partially through and crash the entire system… the new system was able to render it in 12 minutes, with the CPU never getting hotter than 62c, with a 43% load and the GPU card never hotter than 28c!!!

Such a difference (that is going to take some getting used to)!!!!

Despite the current temps of the graphics card, it is also clear that once I go to add the second RTX 3090, that I am going to have resort to water cooling them and adding them to the cooling loop, as there really won’t be enough space between the two cards to keep a good airflow for cooling…

But that will be in a few weeks when I am not restricted to having more than one card and that they are, hopefully, a little more readily available to purchase.

OK… enough chatter from me, I want to get back to work here and crank out the last remaining renders that need to be done, so that I can FINALLY get this release out to all of you!!

Before I go, I’d really like to thank PlanetMorpheus, Felix and John (who have been and are our $100 patrons for a while), as well as, ALL OF YOU that have remained our faithful patrons and have supported us… I would not have been able to have invested in updating my system if not for THEM and YOU, helping to absorbing some of the financial burden for me to do this and have a better system to continue to do my work and, hopefully, entertain and share with all of you the smut that I have bouncing around in this head of mine!!

Honestly, it is one that I wouldn't have gotten if not for all of the support all of you have given me!! You've all remained beside me, through the tough times, as well as, the good ones and I look forward to being able to provide a better turn over rate and much more complex sets and scenes now for our games!!

Nothing against the spec, for that, it is a monster. I would have used other components, if it was my system, but credit where credit's due.
Yet beauty?! I do see it otherwise, my first act would have been to rip out every RGB or other LED I could find and replace it with simple black. Even the window would be a thorn in my side.

But I'm happy that this beast now can help you to work a little faster and you can now render things that before was (near) impossible. My only hope is, that you don't use the additional power for quality improvement only and thus your overall development time wouldn't improve.;)

Computers and cars are like other people's women, sometimes we don't see what the person saw in her, but we accept that if they are happy, its good enough for us.

Then there are some people, who are just nerds and perverts, where they look at and appreciate someone else's computer, car or woman... and in those cases, they may overlook things and, instead, focus on the parts that they do enjoy... such as the woman's breasts, her ass, legs, hair... or maybe the fact that she has no problem showing all of those things off...

Me, I am certainly the latter of the two, scoping things out and trying to find things that I appreciate in it/them, while also being happy for the "owner" of that property.

My last system (which is now the wife's to play her games on), though an Alienware, was all blacked out and enclosed... powerful (just not powerful enough to keep up with the increase of geometry, polys, splines and oversized texture maps for doing 3D modeling and rendering), though you wouldn't know how powerful by looking at the case...

...this time (unlike I car I would own) I wanted to have a computer that resembled a super fast convertible that I could take for a drive, with under-glow, oracle lighting... that would be powerful and flashy!

One day I may just decide to turn all of the lighting off on it... BUT NOT TODAY!!! LOOK!! LOOK AT MY SWEET ASS RIDE!!! YOU ARE GOING TO SEE ME COMING FROM A MILE AWAY!!!

Normally, I am the same way... my old '84 Honda Civic was a rusting out piece of looking crap, but the engine was a high performance racing engine, it was a "sleeper" that I would use to make money from dumbasses with flashy new cars.

But, this time around, I wanted to do something different... I wanted to try being flashy for a change... I think I succeeded. :D

At this time I am hesitant to give a projected release date, as I've only just got the new system loaded with the software and have been rendering like crazy, since then... things that are being rendered still need to be added to the Twine file, shipped to the programmer, editor and sound engineer and then sent to testers.

So, at best I can say with all certainty: "As soon as possible and when she's done and ready to be released."

I get that there are people who have been [patiently] waiting for the release and we are working our tails off to get it finished, but getting into a trap of giving times and dates, then having to extend or backtrack on them, only creates more stress on the team and frustration to our fans... better to leave the release date open till we are certain and not projecting promises that may or may not be delivered upon.

Hope you understand, but I prefer to release a product when it is done and ready... then to guestimate when it will be done and piss people off because it isn't.

Honestly take your time. 99% of us will understand if you take sometime especially if you're a small team and most especially if you take pride in your work(which you are). Only reasonable thing we would request is that you don't go quiet on us for too long! We wanna know if our fave dev is still alive every once in awhile :)

UPDATE: I can FINALLY see daylight!! – July 25, 2021

Hello everyone, it’s time for me to provide an update on what is going on around here and the current status of “Chapter Two” to the Prologue of “Agents of Karma”.

Like the title of the post suggests, I can finally see the daylight at the end of the tunnel!! The new system has been MARVELOUS in helping me reduce rendering time and helping me towards finishing this kaiju-sized release!

I am hoping that by the end of this week or sometime during next weekend that ALL of the renders for “Chapter Two” will be DONE!! All that remains right now is the final two “sex choice” route renders that you can make while playing... during what I consider to be the “TRUE ROUTE” of the game… which has many more choices and sexual directions that you can give/take for that chapter.

So far, the totals for this chapter look like this…

Character Sprites: 6,480 renders

Story Renders: nearly 2,000 renders (could end up being slightly more before the end this sex scene)

Side Image Sprites: 576 renders

For a total of nearly 9, 056 RENDERS and more for just “Chapter Two” alone!!!

Not to mention, over 40,000 words in story/descriptions count (final tally will be available at end of current sex scene and Twine installation).

To put the size of “Chapter Two” to this game in perspective with other people’s usually monthly released games that contain anywhere between 100-300 renders, “Chapter Two” of our Prologue REALLY IS a freaking MONSTER!!

Considering that, along with the fact that I had health issues and major back surgery late last year; computer issues that required me to upgrade to this (WONDERFUL) new system; a world-wide pandemic; time spent doing the ‘Remasters’; not to mention my massive, drug-induced DELUSIONS of abilities and overreach in creating a release THIS SIZE… it’s NO WONDER it has taken this long to produce…

…and, understandably, a size and scope that I WILL NOT be performing AGAIN until we have a much larger staff on hand to help speed up production!!!!!!

I can only apologize to all of you for my gross overreach in vision and abilities when I conjured this release from the ethers of a drug addled brain sitting atop my shoulders and THANK YOU for your incredible patience, support, love and concerns!

I cannot thank you ENOUGH for not giving up on me, or your endless dedication to this universe that we are trying to create for all of you!

So, what’s left to be done before release into all of your hands??

Once I finish the remaining renders this week/next weekend, I still need to assemble it all into the Twine file with the text/story and then package it up with all of the artwork/renders and send it off so that the programmer (Epadder) knows where everything goes to create the event labels in the game… plus assign those renders, story and various Relationship/Corruption points generated by your choices into the game’s framework.

While Epadder works on doing that, Sierra3 will be going through and will start injecting all of the music and sound effects into the chapter and I will have Nyarimo create the necessary and additional 2D “spunk” parts to the appropriate images and also get those off to Epadder to be added into the game.

Then it is a process of waiting a couple of days for the testers to do a shake down and then release it to all of you to play and enjoy, while I instantly shift over to working on a much smaller and more realistic sized “Chapter Three” for all of you and get back to a regular monthly game release schedule.

That is the current plan and direction that remains… but it shouldn’t be too much longer, everyone… and, again, I apologize for my overreach and the time that you all have had to be patient through.

OKAY… back to work for me, I really, really, REALLY want to get these last remaining renders done this week!

UPDATE: Lots of Work & Long, Strange Days… August 9, 2021

Hello everyone! It’s that time again, actually I am a little late in providing an update, but things have been busy and strange over here these past couple of weeks…

Work has been steadily progressing on the game and have been cranking out the images that I need for one of the last two “sex scene” arcs that you will be able to choose from… right now, this sex scene totals over 300 renders so far (which are done) with around another, possibly, 90 images to be rendered…

…then I can move on to the last “sex scene” arc and complete that and then I am done.

I can’t wait… I can’t tell you how TIRED I am rendering the same two people having sex, day after day after day… GIVE ME SOMEONE NEW TO RENDER!!

Ugh… sorry… anyhow, I can tell you that having as many [possible] variations and choice decisions that you’ll have in this has bogged things down just a little, as I really need to pay attention while rendering, editing and positioning them for the twine that I don’t miss one or put them out of order…

…if you want to see what I am referring to, I will be posting a six-image post showing what I mean in another post behind the “paywall” (due to NUDITY) for our patrons to see and understand.

My level of “craziness” won’t be, nor shouldn’t be, ever duplicated!!

Speaking of “craziness” … (a decent segue if there ever was) … life around the home here has been insane… a family member needing hip replacement surgery and taking care of their cat (little, crazy, loveable bundle of terror, more like it) while they recover from surgery; my brother and his family in quarantine in Florida because my nephew ended up with Covid; helping the neighbor cut up a huge branch (as thick as my thigh) that fell from his cottonwood tree and nearly took down our fence; a wife who is swamped with work because her boss is having knee surgery tomorrow (so she’s doing her work and her own work as well… so going to be watching her put in lots of overtime); dealing with back and leg pain… guess the back surgery could only do so much… and other bits-n-pieces of daily, everyday life that makes one believe that they’d be better suited to spend the rest of forever in a small padded room wearing a nice shirt that ties in the back!

So, guess it is time to get back to the insanity, in order to get to FINALLY finish this up and get to rendering sex scenes of characters other than Larsen and Rao!!

[NSFW] UPDATE: Uncovering the Madness! - August 9, 2021
(The behind the PAYWALL stuff...)


Welcome dear patrons to my little section of the Funny Farm, where I can share with you a little slice of madness and you can get a first-hand look into the insanity that you will be able to uncover and experience for yourself!!

So, let’s get right to it, shall we?

As I’ve been saying that there will be a LOT of variations and choices that you will be able to make as Larsen when you encounter Raogrior in “Chapter Two” to the prologue of “Wicked Choices: Agents of Karma” and now it is time to show you what I mean by that and why these renders are so numerous.

When it comes time for you to initiate the sex scene with Raogrior, provided you choose correctly in all your responses to it… either through masterful manipulation, feigned ignorance or outright brashness … you will be able to guide and direct the sex scene to your taste and preference.

You can choose to just get right to the good stuff, looking to satisfy your own urges, you can choose to only please her… or you can do a combination of both!

How you choose will present you six possible variations to each sex scene… each one that I have to render and keep track of it make sure that you get the best experience and that the renders of the characters match.
