Yes, like @ASLPro3D said, you didn't have the full game yet. Please download the full version 0.4.4.1 and then extract the patch v0.4.5.0 into it

Damn, I'm getting this error message, a few scenes past the previous update: "Error, couldn't check for ch04_ending variables. Please send the savegame to ... or start a new game." Do I have to restart the game or are there simply some files missing?

Also like @ASLPro3D said and like you already guessed, please start from scratch again. Since we asked everyone to start a new game with the release of v0.4.2.2 for a reason, which is now finally quite visible.
The game asks if you had one of the three possible endings of chapter four part 1, since you didn't start the game all over with update 0.4.2.2 all endings are set to "False" which is kind of the starting position of them all. So it asks now: Is ending a or b true then show this scene, is ending c true then show that, is none true then show the error message because the player didn't start over with v0.4.2.2

I come home, dl the monthly patch, view the video (it wasn't necessary, but I like to hear Palanto), apply the patch, start the game and works!

It's no magic and I'm not a genious, just pay attention.

Yes, this game can be pretty dark... each character in it has their own little backstory, interests and desires which are clearly demonstrated by their actions and helps to drive home the importance of the mission that you, as the MC, has had thrust upon you.

Some will call for revenge, some will call for temperance and some will require a little of both to make it to the end... how and what level of each is going to be up to you as the player to determine... some you may enjoy, some you many not and some may come with repercussions just like they would in life.

I try to tell people to think of this as a VERY MATURE and ADULT STYLE 'Mass Effect' where your decisions are going to matter more than just some altered colored, predetermined ending by the creators... but my warning remains for everyone, while this is a fantasy story, the decisions you make will have realistic outcomes bound in real world consequences...

...for example, you may want to kill William... and he might actually deserve it... but killing someone comes with consequences... attracting the attention of authorities, prison, the death penalty... and, ultimately, would keep you from being able to accomplish the goals and mission.

So, to be brutally honest, I won't be putting that option in the game for dealing with William... instead, there will be other ways in which to deal with him. It may not be as immediately satisfying to ones that want instant revenge, but for the sake of the story and its direction, instant revenge is detrimental... one needs to be creative in their revenge and in the handling of situations.

You will have the ability for a harem, you can be the ruler of it all (if you so decide), you will have your revenge... but to have all of those things, you are going to have to be clever... think ahead... and plot your way through decisions that you may not see the outcome of them for several releases...

One example would be the relationship between Carina and Lynara... only now, several months later after your previous choices determined the outcome of this chapter... and the choices made in this one will still be felt in coming chapters... if you choose wrong, you aren't going to know it till it bites you in the ass and you'll have to contend with those choices, just like you would in life...

...in short... this isn't going to be a little slice of porn heaven, this is going to take planning, thought, strategy and the ability to keep your emotions in check if you want to truly succeed.

I understand for the purpose of the story, i'm just saying it would be great to have the option to decide the fate of each major character i mean from what is going on the MC is all powerful and the other characters even say he is gonna be stronger then they are.
On top of being powerful he is gonna have the princess of the Demons and Angels on his side or for me atleast my playthrough i'm gonna make sure that Lynara and Syrina both are by my side Along with their moms so having them should make it easier for the MC.
If this is the case the police would not be able to do anything about it and if the MC does it right by time the humans catch on the Angles and Demons should be dealt with,
A smart MC would listen to Lynara and Syrina and plot a plan with them on who to target first an the best thing would be wait to target the humans last since the humans have no idea about him and the other races.
The only humans i would target fast would be the two that hurt the niece and that monk in the church unless what the monk did was truly needed.
For me i hope we get the option to target all the rapist and all the ones who have slaves and the ones who want war and i would keep alive the ones who want peace but at the same time i would want my own harem imagine the MC being with the princess's of both races Angels and Demons and making both Lynara and Syrina the rulers along with their mothers and having the MC be with both.
If there is any other races besides Demons and Angels the MC should also be with their queen also and that could unite them all and it would be a nice harem.
I also am making sure that Carina and Lynara are together since i think they are great for each other and i have no issue if the girls in my harem screw each other on the side. I want the MC to be great towards the girls in his harem, like i said before i'm hoping for a antihero MC something like the Punisher.

PS. The best thing is to listen to the two princess's and to use them to can a following like an army of Angels and Demons that would join the MC and pledge an allegiance to him and the two princess's and their mothers since the mothers are the real queens anyway the Demons should be easier to get to follow the MC.
I have a feeling a war is gonna happen or at least a big battle since i don't see the Queen of the Angels going without a fight but if the MC does listen to them and their mothers he should be able to win this battle without losing anyone he may or does care about.
I would also try and save Lynara and Syrina mothers right away since they know a lot and one is a queen.

PSS. Did the girl the monk was having sex with/raping?? have a dick? if so that is great i want someone from that race in my harem also.

I agree, Tarl was never a dom, just an "all you can eat buffet" kind of guy that exploited/adapted to the culture/situation. I always loved the Gor books and nadu can make me stand at attention (at least part of me) in 2 seconds flat.

And no, I am not trying to kill you :winkytongue: I just felt that the monologues, in the parts describing the scenes could benefit from more fleshing out. But I do understand that this would augment the volume of text exponentially and would not be feasible. As always you stroke a good balance between what you wanted to do and what you knew you could achieve in the time allotted.

Some of your worst enemies in this game can turn out to be your strongest ally, depending on choices the player makes, and some that may be your most faithful of follower could get killed before or during the war as well.

Some people have equated this game as a 'Game of Thrones' of adult games... while it wasn't my intent and truth be told, I've only seen two episodes of Game of Thrones and have never read the books but, from what I understand from the things I heard of that series from those who have watched it, people you sometimes least expect in it dies...

...well, same will be true with this game... some by your hand, some by your choices, some by your inaction and some who just can't handle the pressure or truth... NO ONE in this game is SAFE and not everyone will make it to its conclusion.

As for being Powerful, the MC isn't right now... in fact, he is sort of in a state of denial about his role in this whole fucked up situation... Power isn't absolute, nor does Power come without Price... truthfully, I am not making a Disney movie here or a 'YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL' game...

This is game is my statement about mankind, about religion, about morals and viewpoints.... all of which you can choose from and decide the type of person you'd be if you were that person's shoes... and you'll also have to live with those decisions and the type of person you find yourself to be on your first playthrough...

...what you decide to do after learning and discovering that will be up to you... you can replay it and try different things or you can set it down and accept it for what it is... but this will be no fantasy fairy tale where everything comes up smelling like roses... and not every player is going to get their way...

As for a movie... heh, it would be an interesting one, I'd give you that... but think some of my other, more better thought out stories would fit the bill for movie or television series better... and likely would spare myself the fires of public opinion than what this game would likely cause if done as either. LOL

Yeah, my greatest frustration is that, as a book in novel form, we'd already be gearing up for war... this having to do the story with images (in comic book format) is killing me, as there is so much more development that could happen with the characters, with the whole lore and... certainly... feel less rushed to me.

It also tells me that for the other stories that I would like to do in the future for everyone, it is going to be necessary to have a staff of people doing art... because this is really frustrating and I am limited in my own abilities of what I can do myself as an artist and writer... @Palanto Games can probably cite the many times that I've cried pitifully because of this fact.

Maybe once we get better known and have more support, things like that will be different... but, yeah, you aren't alone in that frustration.

If it came to making peace and saving the world i think Lynara and Syrina would do it and Carina would do what Lynara wanted as for the niece if you saved her from her family she would also and as for the futa race i don't know enough about them yet to say.
There are men that do have more than one woman but yes it is hard but like i said in this type of world that you made it would be easy if it was for peace and if the MC truly treated them all good and was a decent person it could work.
If i was the MC i would treat them all good and would not treat any of them worse than the others and by being with them it would make peace easier seeing how the princess's/now queens are in a relationship.

Posting the exception error would help. But what do you mean with first and then the latest? You need to download the FULL GAME version 0.4.4.1 and extract it somewhere, then go to the same place and extract the v0.4.5.0 at the exact same location. It will ask you to overwrite all the older files. then you can start the game in the latest version.... Please check the Install Instructions / How to Update video in the OP. (Turn the volume of your speakers / headphones up if you want to watch the video )

my game has No Music whatsoever. There's supposed to be music, right? Are there supposed to be sound effects as well?
If so, I don't have those either...

I was contemplating waiting on an updated walkthrough (after 4.2.1), but something that @ASLPro3D said kinda resonated with me- he said that the choices you make decide the type of person you will become (in game, but I guess that's also true for real life), so here I go blindly without a safety-net into the great unknown (hopefully I don't bugger the entire fate of all involved...).
