What I wondered was if the originator of a religion like Christianity or Buddhism would come back/be reborn after a few millennia and preach his original message, could it be that the faith he started could have deviated so much from his original teachings that they would consider him the anti-christ?

Like you, I am agnostic... I've been in too many foxholes and seen too much shit to be an atheist... but, in regard to your question... the originator (let's say Jesus if he returned) would be fried and served up to the masses on Social Media and would be hailed by the very population that supposedly 'follows Him' as being a liar and a heretic, discredited and declared a 'false prophet'...

...He could be sitting in a pew of a church that supposedly worships Him and they would cast Him out for being disheveled and too poor looking to treat with any respect by the very patrons of that church.

Ah Jack though I do agree with your points and would not be surprised if such a thing would happen and not only if Christ would return, but in some other religions it would likely be same. My musing went even further though and that a religion might have changed so much from what it's originator intended/taught, that the originator if he would return would actually be considered anathema by his own religion and seen as the factual anti-christ and evil.

In your game it is mostly the meddling of the Angelions that created and shaped the direction of the religion in this case, but if you listen to the words of Karma to Syrina it gives an idea that the originator in your game was a man of peace, maybe even too much. Now like I said I do not think you were planning to go this way, but what if mc is not just someone like the original but was actually the reborn original and now is the prophetical anti-christ. from that it started my musings. ensive:

I get that and saw where you were trying to go with it... but, alas, I can honestly say that the MC is not the reincarnation of Christ himself, that much I can tell you! :closedeyesmile: Interesting concept, but not where I am heading with the story.

Personally, I think ALL religion has been warped and twisted away from the very concept from which they were originally conceived... mankind is famous for "interpreting" things to suit their particular needs, desires and goals and using religion has always been their choice of banner to operate under in doing so.

Don't like your fellow neighbor, call them a "witch" and have them tortured and burned at the stake; don't like a particular race or religion, start a religious crusade and orchestrate it under the banner of God or as a jihad for Allah; or peddle your righteous bullshit, while professing to be pacifists and get others to fight your war against the Sith...

I already said I did not think you wanted to go in this direction. Even if you would accept reincarnation and then would accept the idea that what happened in your previous lives/ lessons you learned might influence who and how a person in a next lifemight be, mc's role is very different from the Christ person described by Karma in her talk with Syrina. I think Karma even literally says that. :winkytongue:

The step from where you were there to imagining what might happen if he were the reincarnation of that character was not that big though and lead to some wondering from my side outside of the boundaries of the game. Knowing something about the history of some religions it is not hard to see the possible moments of deviation, unless you believe in a God that is very active and was involved in the many choices and their outcome that were made by religious and other leaders in the past.

Yeah I agree to the part that humanity often plays pretty footloose with the definitions of religions, what is acceptable or not and abuses them. You just need to read Dante's inferno to see how different the deathly sins are defined, treated and regarded nowadays compared to his times. At least one of them, Greed for example is more treated as a virtue nowadays as a sin.

But will stop with this for now, since it is not part of the direction of the game and more my own musings.

Sadly you'll probably have to wait a little longer than a year since we're trying out how good of a job we can do with rpgmaker, which we'll test with the side story arc Adventures of a changed boy. I don't know any estimates yet how long that one might take us to finish up. But we'll start work on Book II after we've finished the sidearc

Thank you for your HIGH praise of our game... wow, to be compared to the GREAT work of Andrzej Sapkowski and CD Projekt Red (can only hope the Netflix series coming out for it is good) is HIGH PRAISE indeed!!!

Yeah, may have to wait a year for "Wicked Choices: Book Two" but there will be plenty of interesting things and reveals in our next game: "Wicked Choices: Adventures of a Changed Boy"... so you may want to have a peek or two at that when it comes out!

Just as ASLPro3D said @Sierra3 is currently going through all the script files to check for typos and other things, while I'm still trying things to get the bug fixed that just "some" people have with the last stats save screen. @Sierra3 is crazy fast, but I still can't tell how long exactly it will take us to finish everything up But I guess it won't be too long anymore

Happy Halloween and Update on “Adventure’s of a Changed Boy” (October 30, 2018)

All of us here at ASLPro3D want to wish all of you a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN and, no TRICKS here… only TREATS, Syrina wanted to mark the occasion by dressing up as her favorite video game character for all of you!

Speaking of TREATS… things have been progressing quite nicely here as we move steadily closer to the release of our next game “Wicked Choices: Adventures of a Changed Boy”!

While working on the Java Script needed for our next game, @Palanto has also been working with one of our patrons, @Sierra3, and fixing any of the remaining spelling and grammar mistakes in “Wicked Choices: Book One” and stamping out the remaining bugs in it so we can provide the final stable “Gold Master Release" for all of you.

Meanwhile, I spent last week with @Maim Lain, working on the needed maps for the first release of our next game, as well as, working with the wife in doing the story and rendering some of the first events and story… some of which you will all see soon, as I begin work this week in changing our Patreon Page over to “Wicked Choices: Adventures of a Changed Boy”.

Oh… and be sure to pay attention to our NEW “Patron/Supporter Levels”, when that happens and make any changes to your current “Supporter Tier” as there will be NEW and EXCITING advantages and benefits to our AWESOME supporters per tier… some that I don’t think anyone has ever done before!

So, be sure to keep an eye on our Patreon Page as we shift over to the new game and I will post an update explaining the Tier changes when that occurs.

sorry if im late with this but i had to be off line after i posted about my error with latest update to wicked choices.
but as i just noticed your mention of preparing a Gold Master Release which is great news all by its self. i just thought i should upload this in the hopes it can be fixed as its the only errors i have ever had with this truely exceptional game.
hope you don't mind the lateness off it but i was unable to get back on line till now job commitmants im afraid. if you need more info please let me know what you need thanx apart from these three errors near the end its been a Wicked game and i can't wait to see whats gonna be next in “Wicked Choices: Adventures of a Changed Boy”. what ever it is i'm sure will be fuckin Wicked. (yup puns intended )
