Try using a vpn to download. It bypasses the limit or use the torrent since for me atleast its downloads faster.

For mac users, just unzip the file and then edit the title and delete Mac and add .app at the end. The file will then turn to the app and it should run fine after that.

That isn't how the Abandoned label works, so no, this should not get marked as such. You can think of the developer what you will (and I tend to lean in the same direction as you), but labels here shouldn't be used incorrectly just because someone doesn't like how the game is (or is not) progressing.
