After 7 months he decided that he does not like the car because he designed it with manual transmission.
Its more like he realized after 7 months he couldnt make the car the way he and the backers want it without first building the machines that make those cars - which makes a lot of sense.

They arent making Wild Life into a VR game, the VR game that they are making now is also going to be NON VR and the technology developed for it will be able to be used in Wild Life.
They also say that the funds raised by selling that other game will be used for Wild Life.

How can you see things so dark when you arent even spending a single dollari on the project.

That's a sign of incompetence. They (developers) are not kids playing in a playground, they are adults and as adults they have to take responsibility. You don't " realize after 7 months that you could not make the car the way you want it " , because in the mean time you have people that keep paying you in hope that you will deliver what you promise.

This show that they don't have a plan, or they are not able to deliver what they plan to do. And that would be fine, but only if there are no money involved.

If they had some honour, they would refund their patrons for those months that now are going down the drain.

How can you see things so dark when you arent even spending a single dollari on the project.
Because i don't trust people blindly. And especially i won't trust people that make porn games, for many obvious reasons that i won't write but you can guess...Many people sell smoke, porn is a good way to make your smoke seem like diamonds.

And because when Patreon is involved there are lots of so called developers that are more interested in milking people of their money than anything else.

When money are involved, i am not a good Samaritan. If you want my money, start showing me your worth and reliability.

I'm not the one that need your products, it's up to you trying to persuade me that i should pay you.

And all of these developers are not doing a good work in persuading me.

The logic of all of this...

So the developers, after months of developing this game, decided more or less to stop and start again. Making it a VR game. And in the mean time patreon people pay. Sigh.

It's like (hypothetical scenario) as if a car developer wants to create a new car. He ask for funds and people give him funds monthly.

After 7 months he decided that he does not like the car because he designed it with manual transmission.

So he switch to automatic transmission. And in the mean time, other 6 months in which people gave him funds have passed.

In this hypothetical scenario, the funders would have all the right to ask back the money of the funds that they gave in the first 7 months, because it is not their problem if the developer decided after 7 months that he did not like anymore the manual transmission. And the developer would be forced to give them back, else the funders would stop funding him and he would go bankrupt.

This is exactly what's happening here. Funders are you patreons.

The only difference is that you can't ask money back.

If after 6 months the developers decide that VR is bad, scrap the project and start again from zero...you will have lost again months of patreon fee for nothing.
I'm not saying that it isn't bad if they did ditch Wild Life, but at the same time they don't have to start from absolute zero if they want to do something different. Hopefully they have worked in such a way that things can be reused and/or
modified to work in multiple scenarios.

But still, I'd like to hear from the devs themselves first. I feel that all this talk is mostly speculation.
Another reason why i do not use Patreon.
Unlike Paypal, i feel as if with Patreon you are way less protected as a customer.
How does it work when you use PayPal to pay for Patreon. That's the way I've set things up. I've never used buyers protection from PP, though.

Seems like some people in this thread are fundamentally misunderstanding what Patreon is. You're not buying a product like you would on steam, you're tipping a creator to show appreciation for their work. If you no longer appreciate the work they do, you're free to stop tipping them, but you can't just demand they return all the tips you've ever paid them in the past.

Then i keep not understanding why people complain for their money lost if a developer fails their expectations.

I mean, it's you who open the purse too much hastily. Who carelessly invest his money in something, without grasping the whole picture, has no right to complain in my opinion, because it was his choice and his choice alone to spend his money in that way.

Patreon seems to involve a risk / benefit scenario, not a win / win scenario.

So stop with the complains and be prepared, because in a risk / benefit scenario, sometimes you loose.

how i can extract files from WildLifeA-WindowsNoEditor.pak ?
its not supposed to be a .pak.. sound like something messed up.

you just have to extract from the zip and then go in and launch the exe.

i recommend you to use 7zip for extract .
normally you should have

patreon25/window no editor/ all the stuff here including the exe.. both patreon25 and windowsnoeditor are simple folder, not archive.

I don't think he's talking about the archive that you unzip to play the game, but rather the archive that has the game's assets, which is located in \WildLifeA\Content\Paks.

If you don't know what format a .pak is, may I ask what you expect to be able to do with the extracted files? Also, you know there is a wonderful resource called google right.....

I'd really like to extract that picture if at all possible.
Okay, well unfortunately for you I'm 99% sure that photo was made with the in-game engine + the hidden developer mode. Unpacking the game files into raw data will not get you any screeshots lmao.

And as extract? Even if I don't get what I need at least I'll know how it's done.
Well I can't help you with that, I'm unfamiliar with the coding of Unreal / .pak files. You need to google it or ask the developers, which you won't find here.

One would expect that questions about how to extract files and such other technical info would be made in proper forums, instead of a porn site :coldsweat:

Last known patreon update was April 25th, latest news that I have heard is that the studio has other projects in mind. We may see a major update to Wild Life within this year, but I'm personally not going to get my hopes up. They have new features such as character collision which hasn't been released yet, here is the associated with Wild Life development. The reason I don't think this game will be getting any major work in the near future is the fact that it is just too ambitious for an adult game.
We simply don't have any titles that have the best of both worlds in this genre. It's either really good sexual content and poor gameplay, or really good gameplay and poor sexual content. Wild Life certainly has the potential to be one of the greatest, but the lack of updates and overall progress suggests it won't be any time soon. Still keep your eyes on it, but don't ask for updates without at least checking the patreon first... if a major update drops, I have no doubt it will show up here eventually.

Uhmm why is there just graphic settings(that too just low-epic)? I mean no resolution settings no individual settings. At the moment I dunno if it's bad optimisation but my rig which is pretty decent runs this at 11 fps in epic. Now I wld go for a lower setting but then the resolution drops down so much. Low settings have a resolution that wldnt look out of place on a Gameboy...
And anyone know if I can do anything to improve performance? Saw a UE4 pre req exe in one of the game folders. Wld installing that help?
