Not a bad start but:
Really a huge turn off to hear a whiny complaint about the response to female vs male protagonists. Additional turnoff complaints about patron numbers. While I doubt it is your intent, you come across as being unhappy that your female protagonist game wasn't as popular as you desired and now you feel forced to work on a male protagonist game.
Some of the renders of Rachel show her skin looking more like she's 60 years old.
I still plan to play this going forward, but it's not the most compelling opening I've encountered.
That was my instant reaction aswell.
Almost deleted the game on the spot as I despise dev-self inserts. Especially if they are whiny.
EDIT: went and read through the Damaged Goods thread. Jesus christ. So much bitching from the devs regarding the female/male protag thing. Not to mention longass walls of text to argue against points raised. It seems to me that with Damaged Goods the devs wanted to have their cake (do what they want the way they wanted to) and eat it too (Have it be popular and lucrative)
Sorry, thats not how it works. Unless what you want to do and what is popular line up, you just take your loss and shut up about it.
fair enough. you'll be right in part. and as a developer, you sometimes have a more limited view of the work. A lot of people don't like the lesbian scene in the beginning, so I'm thinking about removing it and rewrite the intro.
self promotion was never my intention. I rather want to show the life of a normal nerd, who is able to develop little by little and becomes a real cavalier. And also gets successful besides love. Few devs make it, so I'm really impressed by the performance of the top devs and humbly salute them.
My work on DG were Renders, Animations, GUI, SFX and Sounds.
He did writing, scripting, coding and support.
regarding the thread, I can only say that I personally have never behaved rudely or demanding towards others. I have also never made money an issue. For me, the first priority is having fun and seeing / creating great naked girls.
The script and the idea came from Yih. Nevertheless, he is a great writer and a nice guy.
It's a pity that it got a bit out of hand on the board at times, but it can't be compared to this.
Is there a real Walkthrough? Telling me that something is probably gonna happen if i do something is not really helpful.
inside the game you will find a WT that will guide you with hints for getting the most out of it. if anyone wanna create a WT with all possible paths, feel free to do it
