They shouldn't have appeared as ? marks unless you've unlocked them. If you opted out of their content, the ? marks shouldn't appear. So you should have them.

Oh, ok. I didn't think River would be a secret character, or the Harpy since we already encountered and interacted with both of them. Based on the other two I thought secret characters would all be new characters we wouldn't even meet unless we unlocked them. Likewise I wouldn't have guessed Cecilia would be on that list.

Yeah, there was some serious polarity surrounding some of the original core characters, so Vic opted to make them secret optionals.

For more detail, "Secret" characters can include characters whose content was viewed as "objectionable" and had resulted in people actively dropping the game. So I felt the Secret category was right for them, since you have to manually opt-in to unlock and romance the Secret characters, as opposed to having them as Core characters, who you're assumed to want to romance. River, the Harpy, and Cecilia all used to be Core characters, but some people had some pretty big issues with them, so I moved them to Secret and moved characters like Yuka, Ibti, and Lydia to Core.
For River and the Harpy, you had to actively make a choice to pursue their content, as will be the case with Cecilia.

Only hide if you are followed and dont leave your hiding spot, the protagonist will do it once its save. Hide again if the spider girl comes back again.

I understand the River case, at least for pre-change scenes (if the change will ever implemented).
A little part of me can also understand the cecilia case, not everyone likes obsessed stalkers with sharp knives, I still consider her a main chara because she had a huge story impact.
But what about the worm-hungry harpy? Why is she controversal?

The newest patch has a difficulty fixer. The random numbers weren't behaving the way I thought they would so I fixed them to constant numbers. If you die once, the trial gets easier. If you die twice, it gets even easier.
Again, if it's still too frustrating, I can add an "I Win" button after the third death. Download the newest update and see if it's better. I've gotten some pretty good feedback from it so far.
She was controversial because her content includes forced femdom, which some people absolutely blew up at me for. Lot of people want to be in control, I guess. So I added the content warning and made her Secret.
I just tried with the latest version, it's the same thing, I don't know what I should do, I died 4 times, I hid but I don't see a way out

precisely for me she doesn't die because at the end she speaks to me again and it starts again

The final hiding spot is upstairs in the bedroom, behind the bed. There's only room for one person, and you should take the hiding spot instead of her.
If you need to you can just go back and forth between the bedroom and the hallway just outside until the chase starts, then hide behind the bed and keep hiding until the event triggers and the trial is marked as complete. Just don't come out from behind the bed and you'll pass it just fine.

It's just for this episode, bud. The Death Realm is different from the normal world and I only planned to take you there once. But hey, if it ain't your thing, it ain't your thing. Thanks for at least trying it out.

Man. 4k Followers on Itch came and went way faster than I'd expected. I was originally gonna release this pinup pack for Valentine's Day, but hey, 2 birds, 1 stone and all that.
This pack has 50 SFW renders in the public version and an additional 72 NSFW renders in the Supporter version, plus Supporters get a massive 8 minute long music video/photo collage video showcasing all the renders set to a few songs I've been wanting to use. The video collage was a sort of experiment I was trying for the first time, and I'm proud of how it came out. I'm probably still gonna reserve videos for the Pandora's Box packs, but I may do one of these every once in a while as thanks to our Supporters.

I actually like the game but the dev should really remove the disclaimer at the beginning because it makes them come off as insufferable. It's one thing to talk condescendingly to people you haven't actually earned any goodwill from yet, it's another to do so in such an insincere way.
''If you can't deal with characters being snarky'' is such an insult to those that might want to know that this game has themes and graphic portrayal of attempted suicide and a stalker that's tried to murder you. You will have to play nice with the psycho or be killed by her yourself.
It seems you were too busy protecting your ego with the disclaimer you forgot to make it serve its purpose to the reader. Get over the urge to control how people feel about your game and just make it!
