House, car, free food, maid - NCAA know about this...?
That's right, they said he was going to get a maid too didn't they? When are we meeting her I wonder, and is she cute?
As for NCAA, how do you know his school is a member?

MC is such a Gary Stu, it's hilarious and awesome at the same time. Apparently he's good looking, tall and athletic, he's smart, every girl he meets wants to fuck him (and several literally want to have his baby), his girlfriend is so infatuated with him she's perfectly okay with him fucking other girls, he gets given two houses, cars and basically everything he wants to just for being good at basketball, literally the whole college seems to exist to serve him.

Normally I would hate such a character in any other kind of media, but it's great in a porn game.

Just about every college with an athletics program is.

The game also mentions that WVM is a D1 school.

The ridiculous thing is... this happens. More than we'd like to believe.
And it doesn't even take the #1 recruit going to the worst school in Division I for it to happen.

Free pass in classes. Alpha dog at parties. Leniency. Full sports scholarship. Things like that, yea. Not school sponsored sex orgy and a luxury car and 2 houses and bla bla bla. It takes a common scenario and dials it up to 11. And that, is the appeal to this game honestly.

I just meant, it is a wall of text. As in, it is a lot. I'm not questioning your writing ability, just the formatting, and composition. I didn't mean to insult you. But delivery is key imo.
I agree it was not the content just with that large amount of text, some extra carriage returns to break the list up would have made it easier to read.

Oh, the appeal is real. The thing is, though... it's not really turned up to 11 at all. Maybe in that it all happens at once so fast, but that's it. There's been no school sponsored sex orgy. The closest thing to that has been "initiating" a new cheerleader. And while it may not be proposed by the university president, stuff like that does happen. And it doesn't take long to look up and find instances of schools literally paying prostitutes to "entertain" recruits. So far, the Liz thing is the only thing even remotely outlandish, and it's not even that unlikely.

And having tutored and worked with actual D1 athletes, I can confirm that cars and private houses (yes, houses) are absolutely a thing, when said player is valuable to the school's reputation. Universities have a lot of influence in town, and if there's something that can benefit them, they will take full advantage of that influence. That includes buying real estate (unofficially, of course) and convincing auto dealerships to donate to the new recruit.

Hell, I've known athletes personally who have been cleared of rape charges, just because of their spot on the team. Like you said, leniency. It's broad, and it goes a long way. Giving a car or house is nothing to them if they're willing to do that. The only unrealistic part of this story is the #1 recruit signing with the worst school in the division. And I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we get a believable reason for that choice revealed later on.

I suppose I can't argue with that since my position was based only on my common sense.

Can confirm the house part for sure. My aunt (now retired) used to work for the housing department at a university and they had TONS of properties both on and off campus in the city. Apartment buildings, houses, dorms, storage facilities, garages, everything. Assigning a house to someone would just be a line item in a quarterly report, and that's if they even bothered keeping it "above board".

I get that. If not for the discussions I've had with the football and basketball players that I've worked with, I would be in complete agreement with you. It really is ridiculous the clout that certain people are afforded, but as much as I hate it, it does happen.

Is being a gigolo and impregnating women also that common for college athletes? ;)
