Renpy pretty regularly has input issues with the osk in android.
Try typing the name you want, then delete it, then start retyping it and select it from the auto-complete suggestions. Usually works for me.

I suppose it would be better if he asks her directly about the note. I think from the moment she met mc she in her heart was hoping Damien leaves her and she gets mc so maybe it was for mc. Better he ask and she might tell him that she wrote it for him and was somehow hoping that she gets mc.

thats not really true at that point in the game ... Jasmine just likes MC , she's in love with Damien .. but if you remember after he (Damien) calls Jasmine at your (MC) house , she says she was prepared for him (Damien) to break up with her .. so its natural for it be her thoughts about Damien because it (the note) was written before the break up ...
