So from what I understand the release update will be sometime in August.
Early August I hope. I don't think people really care how good or how bad the script is.
They just want something to be released ASAP. Every update he released has been acceptable.
No need to be thorough in detail. The story more then makes up for any problems here and there.
One other thing I don't understand. What are pledges? Is that like Trophies from PlayStation?
They don't really matter. I think that's some paid posts. Again, it just doesn't matter.
He also doesn't mention how big it is. Hopefully we're talking about GB not MB.
I also saw in the teaser of what I think is a new character, maybe in Charles party or Charity Bowl.

The game's development is funded by pledges on Patreon. How on Earth did you get to 2080 messages on this forum without knowing that? Most active games here are crowdfunded.

Your right about something,some people don't care about stuff in game they just want something....but some do care,we care about Dev life's, He's a human after all,he gave Patreons an explanation and all post from Patreons backed him up,life come's first. Whenever he updates game is fine by me. And a Patreon is someone that supports his game

Are you kidding me? I'm a sucker for a good story and characterization all the more than some quick faps. Even in my nominal "porn" titles.
The very reason behind why I ended up skipping all sex scenes in Acting Lessons, even though I fired it up for the lewds in the first place. Yeah, for real - I played that one for the plot.
On the other hand, there have been quite a few fap games, sometimes even with very, very nice renders, that I gave up on due to cringe-worthy writing.
Course, to each of their own - just pointing out that's not a very accurate generalization that you made, at least from where I'm standing.
Meh, always been a proponent of waiting for quality than rushing in all my entertainment.

Ugh we really need to stop feeding the trolls, and just run past the (comments) troll bridge. I find enjoyment in using the ignore button for the trolls. I think most of us here love the story of the game as much if not more than the lewd stuff. No matter how long it takes I know BD will put out something that we all will enjoy. He has a great way of telling a story and adding in a lot of great lewd stuff to make us happy. Sure we would love to see our favorites faster and more often. Especially some of the ones with limited or no lewd content or story yet (Stacey, Harper, Veronica, Kimmy, Ruby, etc..), but remember all good things come to those that wait. Well back to waiting patiently and theory crafting what will be next.

I played thru LBH during the first weeks of my "membership" here but looking back, I've come to the realization that I've seen, played and quit VN's cringier than that.
But I'm pretty sure most of us here are following this game just to see what happens next and how the story unwinds itself, seeing our favorite characters once again while the said story takes place. Lewd Content is a bonus

Wrong. My initial thought about this game was "a Basketball VN?, hell no!" and so I left it untouched on my drive for months.
Fast forward to a week ago and being bored one night I stuck it on, not expecting anything amazing. I binged on WVM over 2 days and was hooked from the moment the MC arrives at WVM. That was because the script pulled me in and the great feel good effect overall. If this game had a shitty script, I`d have quit out early on like some of the mediocre VN`s around.
Frequent updates mean nothing if the content is crap. Thankfully BD has maintained the quality of this excellent VN.
Just my opinion obviously, but I doubt many others here just want updates with a drop in content quality.

I skipped over this game for a while too, but once I started playing it I was hooked. The story totally makes this game the lewd scenes are added bonus. I almost forgot I was playing this type of game at times since I got so into the story. When I started playing I really needed a feel good story, as I was not in a good place of mind at the time. I don't care that the MC magically fixes everyone's issues without trying much, it works for this game (and I realize this is a game and not reality). I really enjoy it and still do. I think I have 8-12 (different girls in each) saves going on right now, and I still play start to finish here and there just for fun. I love looking into things for clues and stuff to support my theory's about what is to come. I also love coming here and chatting with this group about the game, you guys make it fun.

lmao I too put this one off of trying cause I was like basketball wtf? So glad I read other posters mention it was a feel good time over and over. It really is a good time.

Yeah this is my favorite game by far I think it is the only game I replay because I want to and not because an update won't support your old saves (Ugh I hate that). I have a hard time playing some of these other Vn's that are not feel good games any more. Also the recommendations from people in this thread are great. Found several great games from your recommendations while waiting for updates.

yeah not only do we get a few hot babes to start with ( including a hot mom (both) but we get to play basketball .. i always wanted to try that but was never to athletic dam had to look that word up ... spelling lol )
but we also get a really nice story to go with it .. and alot of extra babes along the way to becoming not only a great guy all the girls love but also ... a great basketball player and team mate ...
so much love a kindness and well lets face it assholes along the way to become this pretty awesome MC we all are

I don't know about others, but WVM is my feel-good game and this thread is my feel-good thread. I lurked on this site for the longest time and never felt the need to post until WVM came along. I just felt drawn to comment in here, because of the quality of the game, didn't think I'd be coming back here almost daily. Yet here I am with not even 500 posts to my belt and the majority are in this thread. Guess I came (hur hur) for the game and stayed for the people.

I feel the same way and 95% of my posts if not more are here. This game really brought out something in me. I never felt comfortable talking about a game or really anything in a message board before. You guys made that easy for me and made me feel welcomed. I finally have a place to discuss something I really enjoy. I even tried to learn a few skills (gimp software) just because of this game.
