A few reasons exist for why I usually don’t respond to you, mainly because your posts get deleted occasionally, along with responses.
Got it: You want to showboat for likes, play to the hater crowd, keep sniping at me until I respond.

You’re also not distinguishing your hoped-for fantasies from reality. Regardless of what you actually are or are trying to do, any negativity associated with FA is increased by your presence since you won’t let the posts go.
I would like to discuss this game without all the usual toxic suspects piling on. From what I know, I don't think F95 is an anti-developer forum. So I merely respond when it gets super toxic here.

Also, others said you were flirting with me so you should stop that.
Who said that? You think this is flirting?

Hey, serious talk, like last time, I'm going to stop arguing with you because I honestly don't think expressing these views you're in a good place mentally. If you can't find anyone else to help you, believe it or not, I will try - DM me here.

Unfortunately, you haven’t “got it”. Still, you’re the only reason why I’m still around the thread. The gymnastics that you go through to lose gracelessly are amusing even if some ai models outperform you. If you were on my side in a debate, I would abandon that side, but I would sit in the audience to watch you miss even easy slam-dunk points.

*and yes, a moderator “said that.” Please go argue with moderators.

Keep hating on anyone else. It won't make you happy.

You're not happy now, right? Offer to DM me is open when you're ready: I think you are spiralling into negativity. Keep punching, I can take it, let me know when you're tired and ready to talk.

Maybe you two should get a room... I'd suggest booking one at the HCC and tag-teaming Kate, but that's not possible since she isn't a bargirl yet and probably won't be this year.

For a game that's been in development for seven years, we have a spy who has made zero progress on her main mission and won't even give us the satisfaction of becoming a whore as promised. We do, though, have a new avatar and some nice descriptions of Lumpini Park and scenic Bangkok.

Someone need to be fired for ineptitude, but maybe it's not Kate.

I am actually happy, since I made the points I needed to make. However, please take it to DMs for the sake of others (I won't respond).

*Though if you really want to cheer someone up intentionally, go cheer up Crush. I've seen a lot of misery in Crush posts and Crush seems like someone who legitimately needs help.

Either way, my man, *checks notes*, you will come crawling back to play the next update. You will won't you?
What updates will there even be to play? A couple sentences about being groped in a Thai bar? There's nothing to love here except maybe the concept, and I think Crush knows as much.
I've played through this game a total of 2 times, the first being several years ago and the second last month. It was boring as hell, and I'm a person that can usually find enjoyment in even bad h-games.

Truth is, putting your creative work out there is a hard thing to do. But that doesn't absolve you from criticism. You will likely be putting out crap, like the vast majority of people who make any sort of content. And even if you aren't putting out crap you will still receive criticism.
The proper response is not to run to hugboxes or lash out at the critics who may or may not be accurate in their complaints, but to put your head down and work hard to make something worthwhile.
The attitude you have is very typical in amateur content creator spaces (amateur writers will know) and it's encouraged by both the creators and their fans. They're too caught up in the awesomeness of their ideas and never bother to wonder how to properly communicate those ideas to their audience. I'm not saying you should doomscroll through all your haters' posts 24/7, but that remaining in comfortable hugboxes is often a death sentence for creativity and motivation.

I have a ton of text online, and I agree with this. We're faced with choices when seeing criticism or when knowing for sure that we made mistakes. Either we paralyze (which isn't a proper option), we contradict every word of it (which is a waste of time and has a boomerang effect), or we deal with it maturely. People's comments usually say more about themselves than about anything else, and words only hurt us if we use them against ourselves. Usually at the heart of bad responses to critique there is an unworkable belief that needs to be tossed into the garbage heap (such as, "I'm better than that person because he made a mistake and I didn't"--then like all humans we make mistakes and the belief breaks).

I think there's more than just dysfunctional reactions to criticism going on here, however. I'll leave it at that.

It does take a kind of talent to convince large numbers of people to pay you decent sums for doing very little. You can't doubt his marketing nous. He cycles through the same promises about 'optimising his approach' or 'employing a new method of writing' and through the same excuses and apologies with just enough infrequency that the goldfish who make up his patreons keep hanging on.

Good marketing, like what makes most sales anywhere. Most consumers aren’t going to dig deep to find their ideal porn game hidden under subtle non-advertising. They’re going to click what jumps out at them. This is why a good presentation and good idea sells more than a better game. That said, I am not defending these consumers. They get what their effort yields. I’m not defending Crush either, the forever new dev always in danger of being stopped from developing because someone said something on the Internet.

Crush can also take as long as possible for all I’m concerned. I haven’t played FA since ~2018 so the development cycle is too fast for me. I’ve also not paid since early 2018. I’m here for the psychology, which is juicy indeed.

He has been working "full time"? Lets be generous here. Lets say, six hours a day, four days a week. That is 24 hours a week. If we're just counting this year, that would well over 330 hours for what exactly?

Jesus...

I told him that repetitive nonsense wasn't working like...two years ago, and he literally just laughed at me and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. What a friggin' tool.

He mentioned he's been working "16 hours a day"

I actually believe it, because I've worked with a couple of people that said the same thing (they were strictly in the realm of programming and testing though). The problem is that those two people were completely clueless as to how to do things.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Crush might be milking patreons intentionally, but he's most definitely on some attention deficit disorder (I'm not a doctor, this is not medical advice and all that, but seriously)

That's the beauty of it, he didn't state for how long he's been working full time. He also recently posted this gem in response to a person asking if the author is "just jerking our chain": "No Honestly the reverse is true if anything, I'm putting way too much work into the project, my screen time averaged 16 hours/day last week."

I could tell my boss that my screen time averaged 16 hours/day last week too, but if he'd ask for a screen recording...I'd probably find myself jobless.

I think you can't work 16h/day, if you are sleeping, eating, shopping, shi...ng, and so forth...12 hours maybe! 16h is like a slave - and no one does this voluntarily! And even 12h sounds unrealistic, because 8 hours is too much for today's generation.

Sometimes, after another 16 weeks update I think: well, he could have done this in just 16 hours! ;)

It's just the way it is: he's been milking for years and the probably high fluctuation means that frustrated supporters are leaving and the enthusiastic ones are joining. So he just goes on and on...as long as he can, some would say "clever".

The problem is, that you can poke fun about this or accuse him of lying and it might as well be true. But it might also be true, that he is just very insecure with his writing and constantly broods over every word. Like...that is not completely unrealistic.

I certainly wouldn't pay each month for that either way, though.
