I don't know if this question has been asked before, but the animated cutscenes don't play with me. I just get a fade to black and then nothing. What can I do to fix this?

No it has not been abandoned, ICSTOR doesn't work on a monthly basis, check his site it says the update is 60% done, so expect early next month, i agree though this is a long time between updates for him.
