I really can't think of anything other than as they suggest run the game as admin. This seems more permission related than anything else.

Thank you very much cold_arctus ! With your help, I was able to make the game works on Ubuntu 18.04. I had to remove the Ubuntu webp package (sudo apt remove webp) and manually compile and install the webp package from source :benok zitadoxoto
Ok guys I installed Ubuntu 19.04 on a VM and try the Linux build again. After building webp libraries etc.. the renders are viewable. Started a new game went to kitchen and the video was there.
I didn't install any extras or other programs just webp. Not sure if this is somehow related to your graphic cards drivers.

I downloaded the fan patch and i checked the original file and i couldnt find any reference in the night scene on day 9 for a choice to do anything.

OK Aesouh, i finished your remake and i have to say again..WELL DONE! My thoughts without spoilers are
Game took a new set of twists that i enjoyed, lil bit creepy which did cause some fps loss (faps per sec).
I did miss the the scenes from the past but i am guessing you have restructured the story an some scenes have been shuffled and shall see them in chapter 2.
Overall was a great replay of a game i already liked. We all have our own favorite characters and hope to see more in the future. For myself i will patiently await more time with Nika.
For now tho i just want pancakes everyday for breakfast!

go outsideI tried that as well. no luck. On day 3 after I leave Gaz in the park to investigate, I cant find any character to talk to. Please help.
