I can't save it for customizing. Is there a way to do this?

And the character is weird... It's all blue. 15743434258781873255689.jpg

Yeah except the Play series does have stuff like that in it, and given they went through the trouble of making the gambitting array in the first place AND making both "canon" and "predicament" scenarios for all four girls that are different not only for each girl (girl 1 has no short term memory but remembers what the island was like when it had people, girl 4 remembers Shan and Beauty being two different people but can't remember how she got in the pod, Girl 2 can read and write just because etc etc) but different for each personality archetype, "lemme smash, k" doesn't really track because Illusion is already aware those things exist and have for every game since AA 1. This seems more an omission of effort than of deliberate choice.
Maybe, I mean, the last two have had some things that seemed like they should have been there, but weren't. Koikatsu could have been so much closer to an actual AA3, but it just has so many mechanics that didn't get added. There's no cheating dialogue, there's no true forced sex, there's no pregnancy dialogue outside her mentioning the possibility on risky days, the girls don't talk to each other in anywhere near as elaborate a way as in AA2, where you could hear their full dialogue, you can't be discovered or interrupted. Ai Girl could have been the same for an AG4. It seems to me like several things carried over from Koikatsu as well, one specific example being the really short phrases of dialogue between girls. There was so much potential and I think it was more priority being put on the maker over the actual game than it was actual laziness.

Mods are always optional. You don't want it, don't get it.
But if let's say this was implemented by the developers, I actually agree this should be made optional, like a difficulty setting you chose when starting a new game "Normal" or "Survival" mode. Giving players the choice is a nice way to satisfy everyone.

And as for people who do not want to bother working for sex scenes, I'd answer this is mainly why Free H mode exists.
Illusion's games mainly made a difference on the market by providing sex oriented games with an actual gameplay.
Agreed, I'd definitely try it at least once, maybe keep it if I like it. Unfortunately for the people who don't want to work for it in this game, there is no Free H mode, at least not yet if it is planned.

Tokyo Vice: An American Reporter on the Police Beat in Japan
Very insightful links giving light to a morbid reality. Deception, coercion, blackmailing, under-age..."They are used and disposed of like products, with long-lasting consequences on their schooling, careers and marriages."

Also I did not know this: "For decades the yakuza have offered services that even the national government approved, albeit not publicly. Japan places a cap on the number of lawyers allowed to practice in the country and the government is known for its reluctance to litigate. In Japan, there is approximately one lawyer per 8,500 people, in the UK there is one lawyer per 900 people, and in the U.S. there is one lawyer per 400 people."

Makes you wonder about some things. Is it safe to assume Illusion is connected with this? For instance, does buying the game entail supporting the industry/Yakuza as a whole or just Illusion?

A NEW DAY HAS DAWNED FOR AI-SHOUJO!
Getting around 35-40 FPS, not that much change but AA looks much better, esp on foliage.
Getting better AA w/o losing FPS is always welcome, so thank you. :D

Quite frankly it doesn't make much sense why this stuff isn't in the game; the one non-synthetic on the island is immortal and has zero needs or wants.
Completely agreed.
I still want to bathe together with Ifalna. :3

It can be annoying though if it is too aggressive. I still feel the panic creeping up from playing subnautica and almost starving on my way back to basecamp because I didn't pack enough powerbars. ^^

It would be nice to have options like that even if we don't have stats to worry about on the PC. Just a nice, wholesome shower with nothing lewd meant to happen. Maybe doing that could raise trust and lower vigilance.

Okay so I just stumbled upon this game. I played honey select and playhome game from this company and I liked them but this one seems interesting. It's like Sims but on an island and you can do a lot more (maybe?).
Does this game have an ending or what is the main goal?

There is an ending to the story, an open one, but no real ending as in one that actually ends the game. The goal is to progress to the third area, the ruins, and find the boat. Once you do, you take it to the housing island. That is where the story ends. The ending is open in that you continue playing. The final objective, though not listed, is to build a house and continue living with the girls on that housing island. This objective does not end.

No particular ending... Main goals are unlock recipes to make better gear, build homes, then continuously evolve the girls making them less robotic and more human, so they can be better company in an apocalyptic future.

Assuming you know this, but just in case... If their vigilance (or whatever it's called now) is low, you can sneak up and get a dialogue option then H in the tubs OR (less risky) you can have them follow you then stand next to a tub and request H to make it more consensual and less forced... but positions are limited.

two questions

should I update from 1.3 to 2.0 now? Seems like there was a lot of problems happening

and how can I remove the futa mod options, girls with dicks ain't it
The only real problems I see are that many people did something wrong or their system took some issue with something. It isn't the R2 repack or update as I have used both without any issues trying to help others with their issues. Updating, upgrading, creating a new install is fine, although there will likely be another in 8-10 days...

Hey,
So I have been playing this game quite a lot myself and ended up wondering what the game was mostly missing in my eyes.
And I came to the conclusion that it was an incentive to keep playing because of the lack of challenge and consequences.

Especially after you're done unlocking everything, there's not really much to keep you playing actively.

So I have been thinking, what would you guys think about unlocking survival components for the main character?
Instead of being a passive god managing the girls, I felt it would add challenge and more interesting gameplay mechanics
if the MC also had his own needs to manage (which would pretty much turns the game into something closer to The Sims).

Let's just imagine the MC's tab on the phone with like 6 gauges or so:

-Hunger -> need to cook and eat. Low hunger -> MC can't run anymore, only walk.

-Bladder -> need to use restrooms. Low Bladder -> can't craft, can't gather.

-Sleep -> need to use bed to regen and sit to freeze the gauge. Low sleep -> MC faints (force sleep where you stand for X hours)

-Cleanliness -> need to shower. Low Clean -> Decrease the girls' mood when interacting with them.

-Fun/Mood -> need to gather or H. Low Fun/Mood -> same effect as "Deep Darkness", thus making the girls tired when interacting with them.

-Temperature -> sensible to climate, need to manage body temp with drinks etc or interacting with a fireplace/fan. Any affliction (cold/heat) -> Can't H.

(Other than Temperature, I imagine all those gauges to be very slow so the game doesn't turn into an annoyance. MC should be able to last 2-5 days without sleeping for example)

Unfortunately, I am no programmer at all and I have no idea if these are even possible to mod into the game or not.
But when I see talented modders like EroShane who clearly appreciates the game and want it to last.
I felt like it wouldn't hurt to throw this idea, just in case someone shares a similar feeling and might be able/interested to
make it real.

What do you guys think? C:
My proverbial plate is full right now, cleaning up some messiness with the code for the better graphics mod, lots of redundancies, like (just for example) there are multiple assemblies handling Ambient Occlusion. Which also seemed to be the main culprit for FPS drops when turning. I have them all adjusted to the same settings now, which ironically are higher than vanilla, but without the multiple conflicting measurements occurring, it's smoother. I'm thinking that I can allow either the vanilla Unity camera options handle the SSAO and do away with the SAO mobile settings and two post processing MSVO conflicts (which were causing problems anyway) in the code then adjust the SSAO (which can be controlled in the UI) to make up the difference with roughly doubled numbers (all were very low, settings from 1f-10f at 0.17f and such).

After that I am going to figure out how to make the Housing Island terminal add extra girls, at least +4 maybe more, maybe I'll let the player decide, but just caution them that I will not be able to help if they overload their computer with data then save the game and lock up or cannot reload (as I assume will happen inevitably if I don't limit the number), maybe I'll make both and make the second an optional script code to be used at their own risk... Dunno...

Then I am going to look into getting futa npcs to behave as normal female characters in game/anims.

So I can say that if I reach the point where I have cleared all that other stuff and it still hasn't been done, I could try, as there is a distinction between all player.actor and actor files, it surely is possible to add those to the player, but also, it may have unwanted consequences, like due to the visual representation of inventory, there may be a conflict to create a working in game GUI, which means if you collapse from hunger and its your 2nd or 3rd time, or sickness, exhaustion, etc., you will be unable to control the character and have to lay there for 3 full game days and the girls won't be programmed to assist you like they are for one another, and you won't be able to get yourself medicine, food, carried to a bed, etc... You'll just be stuck for the full duration of the penalty. That would suck, and would be hard to circumvent without creating a conflict with the girl's programming. If we ever get a real source, I could load it into Unity 2019 HDRP and edit it normally, very easy, but that is only if that comes with time, as there is no one out there with a stock source code that I have heard of yet. Decompiles don't allow you to edit the same way as the source code would.

Just some things to ponder... But I would put the idea/request up in the mods threads:

It's too bad there isn't something you can give her where she actually enjoys surprise sex when showering, sleeping, gathering, or on the toilet. Maybe that will be part of the update on the 29th or a DLC update or maybe someone will be kind enough to mod it in. If I kew any C#, I'd do it myself. I do have coding experience, but in the Basic languages, mostly what was known as Quick Basic or QB64 and Visual Basic from before the whole .NET transition.

EroShane gave your mod a try but it looks like it would not load according to bepinex logfile. complaining about a missing manifest: "[Warning:Sideloader] Cannot load BetterGraphicsOptimization_v2_0_1.zipmod - Manifest.xml is missing, make sure this is a zipmod."

As I had previously stated... in regard to the graphics mod...

Some results are going to vary... If your computer's graphics card or onboard graphics has no options for ao, aa. aniso, texel based ray tracing, volumetrics drawing, etc., you won't "see" any improvement, as you cannot. The only option you have is nab up a decent 4gb gfx card on sale somewhere that was made in the last two years. Unfortunately that is all I got. I did adjust the "mobile platform" graphics to be better handled, so you may "see" some improvements on low end systems anyway. This would apply to onboard "HD" graphics, which is essentially mobile graphics like you get in a tablet PC with Windows or high end Windows phones, even if it is an All-In-One or actual desktop tower. (as I jokingly noted, hardware not included with the mod)

However, you should all notice higher and more stable FPS... On 1080p settings I witnessed a steady 12-17FPS climb and a constant raised by about 5-8fps, with no bogging or lockups. This is based on max settings graphics on my machine.

2K I witnessed about an 8-10 climb with about 4-6 steady far less frequent bogs and stutters no lockups.
4K I witnessed about a 5-7 climb with 3-5 steady few bogs, stutter, and lockups but they still happened once in a while.
8K I cannot say I witnessed much of an FPS climb at all, maybe 1-2 but that was likely because I was looking, but since I can only squeeze out about 20-22fps anyway, it was a que serra, I cannot say that the rate increases either, as 1fps over time is not noticeable and I didn't have a good pre-install observation like I did the others. However, on a 4K optimized system that runs best in 2K gameplay was equivalent to my experience on 2K and/1080p when R1.3 first dropped. Mostly stable with hiccups once in a while (FPS drops, stutter, infrequent but annoying freezes). On a system designed to handle the 8K graphics, it should smooth it out a lot and boost FPS.

The #1 issue (after patching graphics) is the amount of vertices loaded in a scene. Without being able to replace models this is impossible to fix. The next is total amount of cached memory being streamed at any given time. I don't mean RAM or CPU wise either, it is the amount of gfx RAM being requested. The game wants about 6-8GB of GDDR, which it is not getting to cache textures and models, environmental sounds and effects, sprite emitters, etc. Without finding a good workaround for this we'll all always have some issues that will kill FPS. The telltale sign of this issue is a significant FPS loss when increasing resolution.
