I'm totally honest with my patrons. I told everyone that I'm planning to close the project. The project hasn't paid for itself much time. And as Ragnar said, many demo versions get a lot more patrons and pledges... Unlike many of the Hollywood shows that are closing their shows after a bad season, I'm trying to get my game to a more or less logical end. I don't argue that much isn't said or written, but as I said earlier, I can't write a game that doesn't even pay for itself. During the whole development of the game, I haven't even reached my first goal, which is not so high. I'm not complaining, and I'm never going to complain about it. I just conclude that the game is not popular. And I'm gonna make another shot. Maybe it will be more lucky... Will see...
Eh, you worked on this "failure" of a project for 2 years and all of a sudden it was too much? Like i said, its your game man but if this is how your games go tbh i don't see why anyone should support your projects. Patreon is a place to show support for people on projects that look like they have promise. Why should anyone give money to someone who by their own words can't write a game that doesn't make money. Not can't write a good story, because I thought most of this game was pretty well written, bust because it doesn't make money. Pretty giant slap in the face to people supporting up until now.

Ultimately it's the dev's decision, we should try and respect it and move on. Honestly would never look at another game Zee would make if MC doesn't meet up with his first love again, and thats a legitimate reason as long as I remain civil. For anyone else who felt betrayed its ok to dropout as a patron or even look at another of his games, why? Its his right and decision to eventually move on to another project, its' also your right and decision to not support him anymore. So please be non-threatening and non-insulting to the dev and others.

I just wanted to say thank you for what I consider to be a rather unique game. I wish I could afford to be a patron, unfortunately life is not always kind. I respect the fact that you are taking the time to bring the game to a conclusion, even if it may feel a bit rushed. Many dev's just abandon their games unfinished. Again, thank you for your hard work.

We all can see your facts and respect it too , but in reality its a bad way to show the people how bad it is to support a game. More and more people stop pledgin for games because more and more devs abonden or rushing bad ends for her games . I loved the way from beginning but as many others written before it started to change to another story as you started it , and that is what a game kills. I and many other People would support games when we would have the money for it , but to say the trueth at moment there are to many devs out there who killed the trust und Patreon did the rest to it . The idea to earn money with a game isnt that bad , but when i see that big game concerns earn not half of it for a complete game and in porngames the devs scream and cry because they havnt so much then others give us the meaning like when i dont get rich you can dream the rest of the story by yourself and thanks for the free money idiots. Sounds a bit harsh i know but its how it feels after so many cashgrabber devs , but i must say your way to end it quickly before abondening it is way better then let people completely drop . Wish you really the best for your future Projects but consider to think about the part that there are to many out here who wanna make quick bugs and therefore it can´t give enough People to support everyone .

I honestly rather you put this game "on hold" or "place it on the back burner" sort to speak. I know you want to rush the endings of this game since it's not getting the you hoped for but as this is your first game and it shows that you put in a lot of effort into it, I sincerely believe putting this either on hold or on the back burner is the better. Sure lots of devs get shit on for abandoning games but just as much get the same treatment for rushing endings to games. If you put on hold, you can start working on your new game and not worry about this one until you feel like you're in comfortable position to continue you it. If you were to put this game on the back burner, then you'll be continuing to work on this game (albeit at a slower pace suitable for your situation) while your working on your new game. Think of it like two or three months worth of updates for your new game and then one month dedicated to this one. It's saddening to see this one go like this since this game is a gem in my book (and many others), but if you truly feel this is "The Way", then I wish for success in your future game.

I guess that's a good idea. Then I don't have to finish the game ridiculously. I have to do a poll on my page.

The game's future...

Hello, friends! I came across an interesting comment. It says not to finish the game, but to put on hold it. What do you think about it?

Your vote can change the future of the game :)

Put it on hold that's the way... because this game is a mess the ending that is.
I wish you the best of luck, Zee95 I would have helped you finance this game ending, but your last few replies to this thread put that thought process quick to bed.

Anyway goodluck with your next game.

If you do make a new game, I suggest spending time making a good amount of content for the initial release to hook players. I probably am not the only one who is turned off by the MC's model (no offense though).

Let me summarize for the ones who seems a little slow or just loves shit talking:

Zee95,
works hard
updates regularly
makes so little money
needs much more patrons
a nice guy
an honest dev

So instead of abandoning the game he's trying to end all paths. Depending on the paths and the players "ends" maybe not good, maybe not satisfying, maybe too fast, maybe great, etc.

He struggled many months and still struggling, this is the curse of being a nice guy. Unlike many shit devs who are either scammer, fraud or incompetent and abandons games faster than light, he's tying to do the right thing.

His game is not a masterpiece or a work of a big adult game dev, but it's unique, emotional, different, beautiful. But as always adult game business is not fair too, shit games or scammers can earn shit ton of money, but most good devs continue to struggle. Is the cause being lack of luck, word of mouth, commercial talent, crowd hype, a lucky beginning, etc., don't know honestly. Seen many good devs with really good games struggling to earn money.

Let's hope that his next game will bring him luck and MOAR patrons and MOAR money and way less entitled brats.
Everything you said is true but just abruptly ending a great game that is not the way, I'm glad he decided to make a poll to put it on hold rather then end it.
