Look in the Park. If you have many talismans, sell them. If you have a lot of money, spend it.

You can find more talismans (stone, jade) or craft them (silver). The reason you cant find more talismans is that you have reached the money cap for this version (7000 in money and/or talismans), get rid of some money and they should start spawning again.

On second attempt, lowering the money does trigger some events, but then I get stuck entering the lower room of the bar, the "event player" screen pops up and freezes game...

I hate RPGM but NLT's games are something different. Moving around the maps is extremely easy and there will be no absurd use of the keyboard. Just point and click.
Play this, you won't regret it.

Finished a quick playthrough. Really appreciate your response. It's a good game and the navigation didn't make me want to kill someone. Not bad at all for RPGM.

Ok so unzipping the game again and letting it overwrite everything fixes it, at least so far the scenes are showing!

If you have errors or the game will hang, this post will help you. Here is a post about how to do it.
If there is an error after that, download the update and put it on top.

Click on the crystal and at the bottom you should see if there's anything you missed. Also if you have done everything so far your savefile should be at 14%.
