The whole Maya and Josy plot hit me like a truck.
Something similar happened to me where a girl I deeply cared about started a thing with me after I made her feel wanted and all that again. Just like in-game I knew she had someone, a guy in this case, and that their relationship was really shitty as well - always fighting. And like the MC it all ended abruptly and left me devastated...even thou I knew the risks from the start.

Felt like a bad déjà-vu hahahaha...:illuminati:
In-game I'm Sage's fuckbuddy (Fooling around with EVERYONE after M&J's plot and also being 100% DIK) and after dating Jill and getting to know her a little more I just feel like if there's a way in the future to enter a relationship with her and stay faithful I'll do that for sure!
And hell naw! I definitely chose to keep Maya and Josy in the friendzone. Not going after them! I learned my lesson...twice now :HideThePain:

Season 1 was amazing and I can't wait for Season 2 to start!!!!

With enough imagination, M&J could be redeemed at anyone's eyes, but there is no way whatsoever of redeeming'em in everyone's eyes.

DPC wrote a movie, but made a game; the core problem isn't writing, it's the mechanics. A movie asks you to empathize with the protagonist's feelings, a game asks you to feel the protagonist's feelings.

Unless you felt exactly what DPC had in mind at every turn of the game, it didn't work for you; unless you feel exactly what he lays out in a future redemption arc, it won't work for you and, if it does, it won't work for somebody else.

I just replayed it and I was struck with a thought... Maybe they don't get redeemed? Maybe he's setting them up to be that bittersweet storyline that's very common in Japanese VN but AFAIK never really made it over to western ones. Bad endings are common in Japanese VN but sometimes you get the storylines with no purely good ending. Sometimes relationships fail and currently Josy/Maya are primed to be an emotional trainwreak.

Firstly, their story is different from everyone elses because they were already a couple and the MC is introduced to it very very quickly. The game rushes you into being together relative to everyone else. Where are we with Jill or Bella at the end of ep4 compared to them two? Apparently we've got at least 6-16 more episodes so unless he's going to tread water or just show 50+ hours of us all being lovey dovey happy my money is on the rest of their story being about the breakdown of their relationship, be that with or without the MC involved. The Maya/Josy route is going to show the rise and fall of the relationship so it's accelerated compared to everyone else just showing a rise/happy ending.

Maya and Josy have a lot of negative personality traits ripe for creating conflict within the relationship. It's gained them no shortage of animosity on here but if it was *supposed* to be a clearly negative personality trait that can be capitalised on he could have a really good storyline on his hands. Imagine if we go from here and the whole thing turns the western harem VN trope on its head and this harem doesn't turn out perfectly. All the issues common to polyamory rear their ugly head and we get to see real personality and engaging storylines from watching 2 woefully ill-equipped girls try and deal with a serious and complicated relationship? The MC can be slotted in fairly easily to a failing relationship. The story wouldn't deviate much by involving him in a trainwreak.

I don't think Maya and Josy need to be redeemed and made good people you want to be with. They're currently at the point in the relationship most VN's end on. All happy in bed with the I love you's. Let's see a VN where it goes downhill. See Maya get called out on her hypocrisy about honesty. See Josy childishly ghost Maya at every emotional hurdle. See Maya turn straight spiteful like she did in the texts. It will at least be something new and unique in this kinda story.

Yeah, I've been posting this image for a while. I think it would be an interesting turn for the character. Even if she turned into some kind of seductress while doing "missions". How else would you get into that room? :ROFLMAO:

Good bet. That's why she just didn't show up in the whole episode. In the next will show short scenes revealing what she did. But someone told her to do it, someone paid the nerds.

Question: How come whe i sleep with Maya and Josie i have no option to sleep on the floor? i can only sleep with one of them
You need to fuck Josy in episode two and stay with Maya in episode three instead of having the threesome with Quinn/Riona.

Also just thinking about this, if you decline to sleep with Josy in episode two does she still get grounded for some reason? Seems like that would cause a plot hole in episode four but I've never done this.
