So many ppl played Season1 and thought as you did, however its not the case... It's all in there why he did what he did. We all would've done the same had we been in Jensen's shoes...

And by tension between love interests not sure what you mean. Kinda jealousy between the women or something else?

Hi again. Yes, by the middle of the 1st season I understood the lore reason for it...I just wasn't sure if it was going to be an ongoing thing or not and I was worried it was a sign of a 'porn-first, damn-the-story' kinda VN. Which obviously have their place, but I prefer slow burns personally. I'm glad that season 2 shifted away from that and that is not how I think of RTP now.

However, I can see that I could be an outlier in that reaction too. I've definitely noticed a lot of slower-burn VN's seem to start with a 'bang', maybe to allay complaints from people who don't WANT a slow burn, especially while in-development. AL, is one such example of that trend. So maybe RTP benefitted from that approach is season 1 and it just wasn't what appealed to me.

Regarding the tension thing: yes, jealousy and insecurity is what I meant. I would have expected more jealousy and potential insecurity especally between Evaline and Victoria/Nicky (unrelated rivals), but even between Victoria (older/insecure/past traumas) and Nicky (younger/insecure) although I can imagine how there could be a higher willingness to 'friendly' compete with each other within the same family line.

I suspect that some of the complaints in the thread about you setting up expectations of a harem outcome could be down to the lack of jealousy in the leadup to the choice. If there were more indications that the potential harem girls had issues with each other and with sharing J, it might have been a clearer signal to the players that a choice will have to be made at some point. But, I'm just speculating.

Wow...I did not expect such a comprehensive reply. Thanks, and please do not think I meant to imply you had no basis for the way the story has unfolded.

It was very interesting to read, and it does match a lot of what I got 'in-game'. It's just that lizard-brain/primal instincts can override conscious or logical thought at times. Especially when you invoke things like pheromones that actively suppress inhibitions. If the pheromones reduced a woman's sexual inhibitions to the degree we saw, then I would have imagined that primal impulses such as mate-rivalry would have also surged along with that. Two sides of the same coin. The endocrine system is one powerful beast.

So I think that while feeling grateful or guilty are true motivators on one level, i don't think they come from as deep within as the primal need for a desirable mate, and the attendant need to protect them from rivals. It's the beating heart of evolution that's been driving our DNA and behavior for millions of years before we ever had language and art.

So, I'll shut up for now. I was only offering my impressions and thoughts as a player. I hope I didn't irritate you. I admire the hell out of the fact that you've put together a game like this. Keep up the great work!

Spot on... Eve i felt we did represent as someone who hasnt dated and was unsure herself. WHy she asked Andi. She also felt bad feeling this way when she knew mom and daughter were interested before her in Jensen...

Mom and daughter, VIcky would let Nicky date Jensen sacrificing her chance all day long, she's just like that... Nicky would do same although she secretly wants Jensen more. Now each player have that option...

The Jealousy thing is spot on... it would do just that, stop the Harem idea... My next game Harem/incest is pivotal to the story i believe the way i will be using/introducing it, is unique... but that is not for now..
But it doesnt work in RTP for us as explained by Rogue above post

RTP now is you get the one girl you like the most. If i could i would've had Tania, Angelique etc.. as options but its not possible.
Season 1 was Jensen enjoying a sexual revolution if you will and gettign his ass kicked.
Season 2 was slower and more about the women in the game and developing them.
Season 3 is wrapping it all up and ACTION..
Season 4 is making the ending satisfactory and not unresolved...

That is our aim.

I spent nearly all of Season 1 going after Vicky until eve turned up and she stole the show.

Then I spent all of Season 2 going after Eve but still had a save for Vicky cos she was still awesome.

Season 3 turns up and Nicky also turns out to be awesome so I had to go all the way back to Season 1 and do a Nicky playthrough too.

I am running out of hours in the day for stuff I need to do.

as the first 8 episodes you played without apparent complaint.

I played 1 time in the first season, the second time in season 2, I got to the test right away, I didn’t play anymore.
Of the 3 proposed characters, none were liked, that's all.
I didn’t like Vicky right away, Eva is simply not my type, although she looks good with her hair loose. Nicky, too, for some reason did not hook, although it looks good.
