Its a new feature. Basically those choices lead to some for of routes for those characters shown

Yup, an error comes up and also main no menu to access the other options, like quit, game and also the go to main menu.

You can change the name is the relationship section of the menu. Click first on the black silhouette and then on the pencil next to Player in the left top corner.

Click relationship change MC name by clicking pencil icon on top left
