Look at these Simps (I'd call you all another word but would probably get in trouble). Pages of psychonalayzing and theorizing - Dudes, why should he do the hard labor of finishing a game when he gets paid to sit back and do nothing? Thats it. No writers block, no perfectionism, no anxiety. Just plain old fashioned laziness. If anyone wants to find the person to blame, find his Patrons and hold a mirror up to their faces. Thats it. He has abandoned games in the past, has had massive delays in the past, and it never resulted in him losing financial support. This is a learned behavior.
edit - i also wanna say that even back during his earlier work, i would see lots of story paths that would diverge from the harem thing (cheating type stuff or more 'hardcore' bdsm etc.) and he always stopped short with those storylines and just kinda...left it hanging. I believe one of the reasons he gets bored is that he cannot pursue spicier kinks because of how large his audience is. He has a mainstream audience, so the kinks must be mainstream not niche. I believe he would have more enthusiasm but is held back. this has actually killed off creators (not killed literally just mean they gave up on game making) in the past.
