That's the thing, the most obvious conclusion (since it's not stated otherwise) is that they do have sound. Wouldn't make much money at all streaming everything if there was no sound, especially with the first camera (the same one in the lounge that Eric most likely has access to) that was already there before the family moved in.
Much like Lisa wanted to observe from the safety of her phone/computer, ideally, once Max had access to a room with cam, he'd probably would have watched from his computer instead of risking getting caught on the balcony. The cameras were way under used except as a method to generate revenue.

Just so.

Another thing to consider is how Ann's back story plays into this. Both Ann and Kira suffered some sever childhood trauma as kids. This is how Eric was able to manipulate Ann so easily. Eric is an experienced conman and predator who recognized the signs in Ann from the start.

One could surmise that this trauma had a big part in who Ann raised her kids. They're all a little broken, not just Max. Though Kira had a less traumatic experience, I expect her earlier inability to keep a job was related to this. By acting in porn, she is able to express her urges and take control of her life. I can see where she can view this process as liberating her family as well.

Compared to many of the other rendered games out there (like Milfy-City, or Long Live the Princess, for instance), molestation of sleeping friends and family members is a very minor aspect, only a blip in the overall story.

Max may be a bit lower in character than MC from Sumertime Saga, but he's way above some of the characters out there, IMHO.

That said, I would have liked to see even more romance.
You really can't compare the sleep molestation in this game with the sleep molestation in Milfy City or LLtP. This game started almost 2 years before Milfy City started. LLtP has a coherent, planned out story. There was plenty of molestation in ICSTOR's games from the same time.

Yes, I'm rather impressed with the depth of LLtP's story.

it's a bit hard for me to combine romance and incest together. I'll try to bring something with other characters
That's a bit disappointing. In many aspects of the game Max is portrayed as a bit pervy, but he still loves his family. He got rid of Eric, not because he was competition, but because he was a danger to their family.

You're talking 2 updates ahead and no. Most likely what you do to get rid of eric will probably something that will piss him off and so in anger he fires your mom so she'll be pissed at you and you'll have to earn the money that the mom can no longer earn because of your actions. Plus your relation shall suffer a lot from this and you'll have to recover from it. It's quite a nice thought from Dark Silver and I'll give him props (I mean if the idea is this one), since there will still be a handicap for regular players (i.e money), but thanks to our modders we won't face that problem :D Still we're talking 2 updates ahead.
I hear you, regarding money. Generating enough money to stand against Eric in early game without modding is a real challenge. A frustrating challenge. For instance, I had to choose which of the sisters to buy an outfit for, I couldn't seem to manage cutting Eric off with both purchases.

If only Max had an extra week to build up his pylons before Eric swooped in...

I started playing before I discovered the walkthroughs. I really need to try that "First Ten Days" guide. Those first ten days are rather critical.

This is no plot hole! If Max mother and sisters finds out that he spies on them since there arrival via hidden cams they would kick him out! Same thing like asking mom to kick eric out because hes is fucking her sister, because max want to fuck her...
I don't know. It's pretty common knowledge that he spies on them from the balcony.

This isn't exactly a plot hole, more of an unanswered mystery, and would probably be answered if Max could speak to his father,.... or if his father returned. The fact is that the house belonged to his father, who was installing a hidden camera for one room, and before he could dispose of the packaging, he gave the house to his family and got out of there. Its quite likely that the father didnt intend to wire the whole house up, as he could have done all the cameras at once, instead of just installing one. I would guess that perhaps his father intended to record a future meeting or event that he had planned to be held in the lounge, but had to abandon his plans and leave. However,... nothing is certain until DS actually gets around to dealing with the backstory of the house. Who knows if he's even considered any of this. But to me, the House itself is every bit a character in this story too.
I think the implication from the intro that Max's father is only marginally better than Eric. He had to get rid of the house quickly in order to avoid problems with regulatory agencies, so he was probably skirting the border of legality in his business dealings. It seems rather obvious that shyness wasn't the quality Kira found Max had in common with his father...

Of course, if Max's father was planning on using the cam to record meeting secretly (for leverage/blackmail), the camera was almost assuredly equipped for sound.

I agree, but, we all know that DS hasnt got aound to making images of every scene that happens in those rooms. Once he does it once, he'll have to do every scene,.. and every scene from then on, because players will then have a potentially alternative view of every event that happens, at various times of day. They may only need to be smaller, or less detailed pictures, but thats still an assheap of pictures to create. It would be a most awesome improvement, and would change the way that the game needs to be played.

But,.. this IS what we imagine with the whole "1984 big brother is watching!"

I think he's just putting it off more and more because he knows there will be a lot of work, and its going to become too big a task to do eventually. I just hope that he doesn't just cover all that and do a few different reaction shots that only shows Max looking at a screen, and describe what Max can see.. He's already had enough negative feedback that should tell him to give players Max's view.
Definitely the ultimate "putting it off" now...

It's actually a bit of a shame. This is one of the richest games in the genre, even incomplete. I've seen a number of others that have only a fraction of BB's content and story options.

Or maybe he did wire the whole house, just Max only found one. The dev definitely has plenty of extra story to explore, so I hope this game keeps getting worked on, improved and extended, he certain can afford it.
One mystery we are left with is how did Eric find out about the agreement between Lisa and Max, regarding sex-ed. Did he install his own cams (with sound) in the rooms?

If so, that opens the question. If Eric got away from those after him (i.e., he's not sitting at the bottom of a lake somewhere), would he still be able to keep tabs on the family?

That's why I don't play the unmodded version any more.:)
By the way, DS has never explained (correct me if I'm wrong) how Eric managed to get the video in the first place.
Not only getting the video of Kira and Max, but knowing that Lisa had agreed to sex-ed. This implies that Eric set up his own set of cameras around the house and didn't just hack into Max's (because in my first play, the scene was in their bedroom, a room without one of Max's cameras).

Dude...you're replying to posts that are 3 years old.

Hell of a necro.
It'll never not surprise me how long after development has stopped people still keep this thread alive. Must be some serious nostalgia at work.

As you see, someone already pointed it out to me.

Since the messages were readily available, I didn't realize that we were not supposed to comment on them. Sorry.

It was not my intention to spam, I was just reading on various topics in the game and commenting on them as I found them. I just happened to be doing a lot of reading today. Again, sorry.

For my part, I expect it is because people are still discovering the game (in part because it is held as a standard by which others are compared). That's how I discovered it, because many people were referencing it in other F95Zone posts. It seems to me that the other related threads, like the mod threads, even more active.

After having my hand slapped a couple of times, I'll probably focus more on those threads rather than this base one.

It's OK to comment on the thread, just be aware that replying to 3 year old posts from people who aren't on the site anymore (Dark Silver) isn't very productive.

And use multiquote, like I just did, instead of replying to each individual post.

It's not and I have no idea where you've seen it mentioned as some kind of standard.
It may have inspired quite a few other (incest) titles but it has long been surpassed in every regard.

Ok. This is my first attempt at using multiquote. Didn't know how to use it, initially. :)

Well, not as the standard as in the high watermark, but more, as you imply, games being compared to it as better or worse than BB. Babysitter was pretty good, and has what seems to be a rare distinction of a game declared complete. It wasn't as big and multi-threaded as BB. I can also see how Summertime Saga was influenced by BB. If I may ask, what are some of your favorites of those that surpassed BB in every regard?
