Any ETA on the official ep.6 walkthrough?
Should be released on Friday when the $5 patrons get access to the update. Hopefully someone will upload after that.

I do wonder if the walkthrough will contain a guide on how to maximise the mansion repair, perhaps even say where it's best to spend points and allocate DIKs.

Does not telling Maya about Quinn in EP 2 has any consequences in EP 6?
I only played the one where MC tells Maya about Quinn and during EP 6 Maya & Josy shows the proof to Arieth.
Does the scene change when we don't tell Maya?
It seems the major impact of warning Maya about Quinn just results in her having to do the scavenger hunt alone. But either way, once Josy shows up they get paired regardless. So there's some dialog here and there to indicate she is with Mona and Camila at the beginning if she didn't speak to Sage, and Quinn takes a few digs at the MC because of it, but it has no impact on episode 6.

After DPC reported significant gains with new hardware, I just hope for less than a 6 month wait to ep. 7....

And I really got sad about the rumors of a shortened life for this godly VN...10 episodes my ass! We need 50+, the show must go on!

The parallel with Romeo and Juliet is also in the MC's dialogue

And if the story of the MC and Jill is going to have references to Romeo and Juliet we are screwed XD
And in the prologue to episode 5, Rusty thinks it's like Romeo and Juliet that he's trying to date Jill and she says no. She also tells him he should probably read the book again to which he admits he never read it in the first place.

That's what I'm hoping for as well...

Anyone else having issues talking with the lowlifes on the DnG part? It says that they don't see me as a threat and thus won't talk to me. As if that made any sense..

This is on a full DIK playthrough, not sure if that matters tho.

Ive long called their storyline for having parallels to the play. I’ve written about it many times, Tybalt blackmail isn’t a million miles removed from the death threats he sends in the play and obviously MC/Jill hiding their relationship now is how Romeo and Juliet end up. Also Derek has more than a passing resemblance to Mercutio (Romeos best friend) in terms of his role in the story and personality. That said, suicide isn’t the only option to keep the similarities going.

This isnt a theory, just a bit of fan fiction really, but Jill/MC story playing out with a sudden confusion not causing them to end their lives but to mutually end their lives as they know it would work.

Miscommunication leads to Jill walking away from her life and wealth to be with MC, at the same time the MC walks away from DIK’s, Uni and perhaps even a relationship with his father to be with her because like in the play they got their wires crossed and confusion caused them to both make huge sacrifices.

It would also lead to, in my opinion, a nice bittersweet ending for the MC which is him being in exactly the situation his father was, but with the hope it will play out differently because his partner survives. Him a dropout working manual labour, his partner a former rich girl madly in love with him having given up her wealth to be together. I dunno, the story coming full circle would be nice. Like I said, pure fan fiction but shows there’s ways for them to “end their lives” for one another without actually killing themselves.

Well, better Romeo and Juliet than Hamlet. SPOILER: Everybody dies.

If it does that, then it is kind of sad but I can also see why.

On the first point, it would be sad to see it end so soon because it could certainly go on longer, or at least could have if perhaps things has been paced out a bit differently. It does seem like things are coming to a head very quickly right now with relationship being narrowed down and such, and you have to wonder if this always was DPC's plan, or if they're purposely rushing it.

This is where we get to the second point, because when looking ahead the average pace of each episode's development, DPC is staring down the barrel of about 3-5 more years if they were to do 12, 16, or 20 episodes, and that is a lot of time for one game, especially given how hard they work on it. So perhaps DPC realises this and doesn't want to spend that long on it, so they've condensed their plans in order to finish in just 10 episodes. Somewhat telling was how they said they hadn't decided yet on the "scope" of Ep 7 which says to me that they are trying to figure out how to squeeze into the episode which might suggest they are trying to condense this into just 10 episodes.

I honestly hope it's not the case that they're doing this as at least 12 episode for 3 equally amounts of episodes per season would be more than enough and it would be a shame to rush to the finish line just because they don't want to spend so long on it.

You have to play music for them in order to get them to talk which means, before talking to the lowlifes, don't trade the guitar for a sword at the Blacksmith's and talk to Maya at the fruit stand because she'll tell you they like music.

Also, remember that at the start of the episode when Quinn's dad and Buddy are talking, they're discussing The Departed and the scene at the end where a rat walks along the railing of the balcony and how is was obvious sybolism but also too obvious and on-the-nose. So perhaps by showing Leah here, DPC is doing the same, at least in a (hopefully) tongue-in-cheek way; making people think that her appearance signals something for this story, but it won't because it's too obvious.
Are we giving DPC too much credit here or has he actually earned it?

I always hate hearing about that rat, it always reminds me how the Departed departed from its source material.

I forget from whom but, during your exploration of the vilaage you will learn that they like music. Approach them with your guitar and you'll automatically play them a song, after which they'll talk to you.

I like BADIK, and playing it again made me remember why.

But PDC seems to me to struggle to make the different stories with different LIs travel at the same speed, if the game gets longer this difficulty will come out even more.

BADIK is a very ambitious game, which focuses on a choral cast with different intersections between the different characters, perhaps condensing the story will be good for everyone

Eventually at the end MC will get his share from his maternal grandfather(and maybe he will be only heir if her mother doesn't have a sibling) . We will get to see a lot of drama on this side

He only gets 5k now as the drama would have ended if we gets it now

Romeo and Juliet also had sex before their relationship (and lives) ended, and right now it doesn't seem like we're going to get that with Jill unless we break it off with everyone else.

Honestly, I'd really like it if the MC makes good on that pledge to climb up to her balcony, whether he went on the date and said it or not, in order to talk to Jill and she finally gives in to her feelings and they have wild, passionate sex in her room. I feel like this could work on both paths because whether he went on the date or not, Jill could still end up avoiding him for a large part of Ep 7 and perhaps they run into each other on campus and there's just some dialogue differences like, "Are you avoiding me?", on the non-date path, and, "I thought you'd decided not to avoid me", on the date path. Then the MC gets frustrated at her avoiding him and decides to climb up to her room and, badda-bing-badda-boom, we get her first proper sex scene.

I like BADIK, and playing it again made me remember why.

Does make me think sometimes that these games with so many female characters can be more detrimental than positive because not only do you have to balance them, even when they're not all main LIs, but you also have to contend with being besieged by people wanting more action with side girls who aren't meant to have a major role.

This story honestly could be paced a lot better and could easily go to 12+ episodes, but perhaps if DPC wasn't doing this alone it would be better because then there's more people to share the load and it would get done faster, because 3-5 years working at this pace by yourself seems like an exhausting and daunting prospect for anyone.
