full save anyone? Don't really care about gameplay for now as translations aren't complete. I just want to beat my meat

If I'm not stepping onto anyone's territory, is it alright if I try a proper translation for the game (both texts and pictures)? I'm not great at Japanese yet and haven't worked on any translation projects but do know how to edit RPGM files and have lots of spare time.
even if it's just correcting the MTL to having proper grammar and getting the untranslated parts of the menu as seen int he 2 pics Rubix posted would make things a lot better then something that's straight up MTL {and maybe not make things to cringe to read that I won't skip everything that needs to be read}

Well! Beside the weird ass grammars sometime prefering the female characters as "him", the MTL was actually readable and the game was very easy to let you know what you need and had to do next most of the time so it was okay at least. Still want to have someone giving files to slowly translating the game for better dialogues tho, but beggars can't be choosers after all

I would pay for this

good sir, what do you mean by not T++ friendly? as in you can screw up and translate a script accidently while translating manually? or is it when you inject that T++ has issues? or is it that T++ doesn't exactly specify what items shouldn't be touched?
I mean that using the program will result in the you having an incomplete translation and no doubt breaking something.

Another great RPGM game (so it seems) but it's MTL. It's better than nothing, I get that. But I can't get into it.
Especially when it's not corrected a little bit. "Something is awesome" yeah not the translation though.

how would you do a translation without that program? decrypt, translation.. I thought you were using that T++ program quite a bit when you were fixing stuff in games.. ? was it instead, the actual rtp maker you were using instead? and a lot of ppl are using the T++ to translate, so that is why I hoped you could give me a more specific answer as to why it messes stuff up.. does it mess up the script call even if you translate it correctly? or maybe it is that in the scripts, it is asking/searching for the japanese character, and when/if you translate it.. it won't find what it needs and errors?

I rarely if ever use T++ to fix game issues in threads. most of the UI elements I translated were impossible to do if you were just using T++.

As for why T++ messes stuff up. The Tool doesn't care about scripting or anything for that matter. It translated everything in a batch file and if it can't translate something, it just leaves it blank. so you get segments sometiems where the entire block of text is blank or just wrong because google has no idea how to translate it. Really good way to get your story fucked and noone to have any idea of what is going on when the ENTIRE TEXT BOX IS BLANK. The tool will translate everything with it's batch translator and I mean everything. It will try and format stuff to fit english grammar rules and not coding syntax. Scripting tags, plugin calls, etc. when these are translated you it fucks with the game in little ways and big ways. You can also come across issues with the importing of the code and then exporting it back into the game because it converts the code to plain text and then back into the engines native language. This can lead to issues as well. Take that and the fact that it often leads to text overflow issues, google taking sounds like "Gah" and stretching it out 500 characters long, the inability to translate Plugins and UI elements and variables, the list goes on. If you want to do a full and good translation, you don't use T++. it is a good introductory tool for newbies and people who have no other choice because they don't have the engine; that being said you can pirate the engines or just buy them. It is a good investment.

Most translators I know refuse to use T++ it because of these reasons I listed and plenty more of their own individual ones. Most like myself use the game engine or some crazy folks use Notepad+ (they must like headaches).

I learned fast that T++ sucks and if I really wanted to take my translation abilities to the next level I needed to do things differently. For me stopping using T++ was the best choice I ever made. I improved fast the moment I started doing stuff the hard way and I think my translations are better because of it.

Thanks for telling me, I have seen a few of the things you mentioned happen in games I know were translated by T++.. I just didn't realize it was from that.. I guess I assumed the game just messed up for a second or couldn't fit the translation in the box.. or maybe the line break were messed up somehow.

anyways, I may check out the wolf or MV engines, I really do appreciate it :)

I have had good luck with T ++ in most case's where I could actually open the game or start a new project with it.

I have to watch out for spacing, and capitalization event's such at say Example>>> "\nr<\n[1]>" becoming something like "\Nr<\ n [1]>" >>>Which is a major bugger.

Also some time character changes as in 「 」 『』 being changed to "" can be bothersome in some games, and some it makes not difference at all

I also miss that I have found no way to Edit the names in the switches, and Variable's with T ++.

But Over all it is very good, and the replace all feature can be very handy when have multiple error's of the same type or text.

anyone know how to open/active event oufit shop? it always close.
Its a quest that will popup, for me it poped up when I was rank A at guild (but its a D rank), probably it had to do that I visit the mayor house (but first you have to speak with the npc that is walking near the store and mentions that the owner is elsewhere taking her of her grandma).

Heres file for 50% of map like changing it when talking about MC to she etc, also threw in actors, items and such from last update into it. Note common events and other half still not edited so not included.
