Just read your Patreon post and saw that you intend to unlink the Ygritte story and that players can go to Ice area without go to her for the crystal in the next update, I wonder will it affect the saves and make people to start a new game?

OK, so I finally got caught up with the latest version. I like the new mini-games, they are less frustrating than the old ones. I unwittingly got myself into a grind situation, but that was because I thought I knew what I was doing rather than play this game like a jrpg. Turns out the changes to the tavern mean you no longer do you primary AG training there. I never even thought to train AG in the morning until I had wasted all sorts of time on it. That was most certainly my bad and not a fault of this game. I am also wondering if there is any benefit to paying for the sledgehammer entirely yourself.

I did notice that only ST goes beyond level 1, AG and IN both fail to increase after 1.

I did like the creative path puzzle around the two cultists talking about the orgy. It isn't often you see that bit of RPGM map building used correctly, typically anything like that happens as a bug.

I like the new content, and am pretty pleased with the quality and quantity of updates we have been seeing for this game. So Kudos to you!

What mini games cause your difficulties?
So I was thinking about this problem, maybe you could allow people to get some kind of pass after they do something else, or progressively slow the challenges/ease the challenges as the player does certain things.

Make it so you can level up to make the challenges easier. Eg. an int of 10 means that the path stays light for 10 seconds after you start moving. Or a strength of 10 means you have more hearts.

Basically let the challenges scale down if people are willing to do more grinding.

A lot of not great English.

In the beginning if you click on the cat when it is outside the bathroom it shows Russian text.

The 9 bones game is bad design. You can almost always win it, since rolling a 4 or higher on first roll is around 70% guaranteed to win. So doing single wins and deciding the whole game from there is the most beneficial. Game needs more rules like more money on doubles and triple wins or exactly 9 is worth more. Or you aren't allowed to get the same number twice. Something. Also forcing the opponent to roll even if they are already higher than you seems like a bad rule.

Should probably put time gates in place. Like Picnic, if you have the wine you can auto ask to go. However story wise she wouldn't have been able to prepare anything.

Also is weird if you did the training to beat Ygritte that MC gets tired during a hike.

MC doesn't seem to heal if he ever is injured in ice biome.

-----------------

Also Emilia having reservations while her original title is "maid" seems like a bad default choice. A maid is someone paid to take care of a place, so having any "oh no it is wrong" would only work if the MC was a higher class than her. Which then he could just kick her out of her own house. Hell her big bed should be his in that concept. I understand the "real" title is not maid, but just pointing out to find a better default while still avoiding the real one.

Maybe just hard cap the levels until you have need of upgrading them so players don't waste time pumping them.

As a quality of life, knowing what you can and can't do in the release would be nice (What girls still have quests even if you haven't started them). Also when everything is done to tell you that is the end of what you can do for now (right now it is only if you talk to them again that it says more later versus the whole game saying "that's all folks").

I would also make it so the player can access Ygritte in the morning. This allows players to get the ice crystal without having to waste time. Also give the player a heads up Ygritte will give the crystal post successfully beating her and becoming the guardian. I had the wood and plant quest and didn't know I had to challenge her to get the item instead of just requesting it.

I do hope post MCs first conquest that he starts growing out of his shy/weak shell, him this way at the start is cool, him this way after banging the whole town would not make sense.

Wow.

We're working on English and all text in the game. If you compare versions 13 and 17, I think you will see the result.

"9 bones" is a game in which the player makes money, it was created for this. We need to fix the financial balance in the game, so temporarily this way of making money looks good.

The combat system will be completely reworked in the next version. We'll also unlink the Ygritte story from all others.

MC personality changes throughout the story with each character.

Thanks for the feedback, such reviews allow us to revise some details in the game. <3

The save files will most likely work in the new version.

how do i get the lapenia plant?
OK this one has been answered several times already in the thread - but one more time:

Talk to the shopkeeper - she shows you what it looks like and tells you it still grows in the ice region.
Go to the ice crystal, it won't work - there is a sign telling you you need a key to make it work and who has it.
She closed it off because it is dangerous - you will need to prove to her you can protect yourself and others before she will give you the key.

Basically continue the main quest line.

Hopefully this helps.

cant skip mini games
I saw this guide that might help:

As for backseatdevcommenting: I think you can get used to the minigames but also there's people who cannot or will not do time/precision games and people who just want to jerk off without having to solve challenges. I think it'd be OK if there was - at least after the first failure - an option to skip.

Personally, I find the "remember the safe path over the tiles" minigame the most annoying, 1. because my short time memory is shit and 2. because the top part of each path is shown for only a fraction of a second.

Still managed to finish them all. Even without the video.

In the next version, it will be possible to skip the Ygritte challenge.
I am wondering about the difficulty of the Test of Strength and why some people seem to have more trouble with it than others.

I'm several decades past my prime twitch factor for reaction speed and was able to beat the challenge of strength on my second try. That doesn't seem like an excessively challenging puzzle. But *many* players who are likely much faster reacting than myself do seem to be complaining about it. Could the issue be related to the game's performance on their machines?

I am running this on an older laptop that wasn't top of the line when it was new, but does still have a name brand graphics card. Could my machine be slowing things down and making this challenge easier for me than someone with a newer machine? Or could it be that since RPGM isn't really all *that* graphically challenging that my graphics card is allowing the game to perform better and making this easier for me than someone running integrated graphics?

The first issue I've seen on older RPGM style games - and I've seen and used slow down tools to correct this issue. They work quite well.

The second issue I've had on some RPGM style games as well and had to use V-sync to correct. I see Alvein has a low performance setting, perhaps this could help some people having trouble with this puzzle?

I believe the dev's have used some nice clever puzzles to make this game interesting, and would hate to see people just skip them making this game much more bland. I realize some people are going to be completely uninterested in mini-games but I think these serve a real enhancement to this game.

So has anyone having trouble with this challenge tried the low performance setting to see if it helps? Or are they running this game on a high end gaming machine?

Game related news:
1. We're almost done with Nicole. Her story is different from others, she loves money, adventures, expensive things and of course the main character. There are many adventures ahead of us with her, I'm sure it will be interesting... (★‿★)

2. We're still thinking about how we want to see Taya. Taya is the mayor of Alvein (and not a librarian, as many think). The player will need to help Taya solve issues related to the town and its financing. There will be less action, but more dialogue and small mini-games.

3. Fishing will appear in the game. Another way to make some money.

4. We're a bit of a rework winter biome. The player will often need to collect various resources in this location. It will become more dangerous and more difficult.

5. We plan to release the next update on June 17th. We cannot say for sure if this time will be enough for us, but we will definitely stick to this date.

Very nice to know that the next update will be around 2 weeks later, I can't wait to see how the story goes and the new event with the girls. But if you can't deliver it in time then it's okay, I had rather wait a bit longer but got a solid and bug free update than you rush to release it right on time and had to post lot of bugfix later
