The fact the dev thinks that of this games makes me think the rework will be amazing. I remember playing this game first time and being excited to carry on, it was a good story. I love SG too and the animations in that game was clearly another level so if he wants to rework its fine by me.
People get very selfish on here and only think of themselves or pretend to care about others that support it. No one is forced to support anyone and no dev is forced to update a game by your time frame. The best games on this site take a while, they are run by small groups of people at the most and usually just 1 or 2 people.. Have patience and enjoy your free content.
Or they just realise that the dev's ridiculously dumb "30 chapters planned lmao" plan is laughable at best and blatant lies at worst when it's taking this long just to produce 1 chapter where you don't even have to write all the script from scratch.

I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt, i don't know what they go through day to day in life or what they face.. End of the day they give us all games to play for free, they put in 1000s of hours making games and everyone has their own standards when it comes to things they make. To me it seems like the person is just a perfectionist and at the end of the day wants their games to be the best they can put out. if the guy didnt give a fuck he would of just left this game as it is and wrapped it up, not done a whole rework to tie it into other games he is making. Only he knows the bigger picture at the end of the day and the storys ive seen so far im just looking forward to seeing how it works out.
You do realise that he doesn't want to develop alone forever? Just think how much faster the development with two 160hour a month employes would go? This is also one reason he wants to switch to Blender, because there are many professionals working with it on a freelance basis compared to DAZ. Also the script changed apparently around >95% so no script. And he is still producing >50 still renders a day which is way more than most do and at that quality? There is no one.

There are too many ifs in and buts in that. He can hire others to work with him but that's based on the assumption that he'll ever make so much money as to be able to afford someone else to work with him. Then there is the question of his perfectionism. He scrapped entire 6 chapters of a game because he didn't like the story or renders. Things he created himself. How do you know he'll let anyone else work with him on creative parts of the game (rendering or writing) when he is that obsessed with the game being according to his vision? Even DPC doesn't allow anyone to do that despite being this big.
At this point I'm not on this thread because I expect the game to ever be finished. I don't. I'm just here because I liked the old game and I want to be here to see what new thing he has done because ik I'll like that as well.
That's fine in the end we no nothing for certain, just know the first Chaperts in WIAB where his first renders ever done so you might understand that he now thinks they suck.

Is it just me or does the scene gallery not work with the incest patch? If you play the game normally through with the incest patch it works, but if you try and use the scene gallery from the scrappy mod it reverts back to calling them 'friend' and all that.
Edit: Nvm, it looks like SOME scenes still work with the incest patch such as one of the Leia scenes, but the first scene with Katie doesn't seem to work. I was under the impression the patch changed her to one of your sisters as well?

Read the past three pages and man that's a lot of cope. I can't understand how people show up on this, uhhhh, legal salvage website and still give delusional support for creators who are either themselves delusional or bad faith actors.

Chapter 1 is going to release in two days on the 21st.
The game is done and tomorrow will be used to test and try some little thingies.
As mentioned on Discord. I got infected with Shingles a week ago and it's hitting me pretty hard.
Doc said it was caused by stress. I really need to work on my Work/Life balance.
After some pain meds, the electric nerve pain gets manageable and I have a 3-5h window in which I can work with full efficiency but I'm running on very low sleep for like a week now.
For the first time in my life, I'm actually dreading sleep due to how uncomfortable it is.
I will take 1-3 days off after the Beta release to deal with the damn shingles.
(The Beta has all content except for the gallery.)

Damn, developer perfectionism really get him issues. I hope he gets fine and thinks seriously on getting a team that can develop his vision and relief him a bit from all the stress!

The announcement brings more bitterness than joy. Ocean is putting his health at stake and that is not right. He talks about balancing life and work, but I don't think that's enough. Evidently he doesn't have the funds to hire people, that's not an option today. As much as I have been very critical with the amount of time the remake has taken and with the lack of a more fluid and present communication, and despite loving WIAB, I honestly believe that he should continue alone with SG, which at least today is his most important project, which has more support, which is the one that can reach Steam faster to receive more income.
Too many times Ocean has said that he would not abandon WIAB, but very honestly, if he announced today that he would not continue, I would not be upset at all, I would just pass my humble support to the SG patreon.
Hope for a speedy recovery, rest and think things over.

Damn, here I thought that WIAB is one of the best and hottest (NTR) game ever.
This game what make this developer stands out in the first place.

Allow me a correction, WIAB is a promise that starts in two days (I still love the old WIAB and I am more than sure I will feel the same way about the new one) SG is a reality.

Well shingles are a bitch but what can he do about it? If his stress level is the result of working on two games simultaneously and being a self-proclaimed perfectionist, he will have a hard time changing his work-life-balance. Maybe he needs someone to tell him that what he's working on is good enough once in a while so he can move on with the next scene/animation. At least that's what I need hear from time to time.
