Finally found it after spending 30 minutes searching. The protagonist is way too slow! Please make it twice as fast, perhaps as some sort of difficulty option.

So... Where was it?

Edit: Found it within a couple of minutes. It's literally right outside the front gate of the bandit camp, about 30 seconds walk up towards the hill with two antenee sticking out if it. There are 3 guards clustered around a baggage trolley.

The colour doesn't matter.Yes, I mistaken Willpower with Intelligence (due to very low resolution of picture), but it doesn't matter, you need both attributes at -10 (not -100 in case witn Intelligence ), they are both at that mark, even lower. As you see, the starmap is green. I'm pretty sure, he has not enough Biomass for extraction.

Sorry, but color does matter.
Green : go
Red : no go

For willpower, -10 is not lowered enough.
-11 is.

cause u are trying to get the encrypted map click on that and change it too the starmap

Just read the post above yours :
A red background means problem.
In addition to timmys666 answer, which is right, you also need to decrease willpower more.


Besides that, I found out that dickgirls are to be implemented in a short time.
See attached pic : the new sex machine has a cock tube
It disappeares when you put a girl into the machine.

As you can see, not only I successfully extracted the starmap, but even managed to train her in some fields. Willpower: -10, Int.: -1 (!), not wanted to make her dumb.

I had the exact opposite situation : -10 wasn't enough. Had to lower it a little more, then I could extract the map.

Or maybe it was in a previous build, and the dev left the red background at -10, whereas -10 is now enough ...
Will investigate this !

Thanks to Rz85 message, I investigated the matter.

It should appear we were both righ, see screeshot 1 to 3 :
1 : willpower at -10, red, intelligence still too high -> should not be working, normal situation
2 : willpower at -10, green, intelligence at 10, red -> should be working, not working
3 : willpower at -10, green, intelligence at 9, green -> should be working, working

I lowered intelligence bit by bit when I reached 10 : it didn't work till it was 9.
Two bugs :
- willpower turned from red to green with no reason, still at -10.
- intelligence at 10 is not good.

To make things right, I should start anew and lower intelligence first, to see if situation is inverted ...
I still believe it's a matter of condition coding :
for positive numbers, when displayed "10", it means any number between 10 and 11, such as 10,25. But it is avove 10, so not working.
for negative number, when displayed "-10", it means any number between -10 and -11, such as -10,25. But it is below -10, so working.
Anyway, bug reported

Is it just me or are the internal resources of this game out of whack?
Biomass especially is so rare and hard to get that it makes actual training a net loss as it costs ten of thousands of the stuff. While plastic is limitless, never once ran out of the stuff.

It would be great if that could be fixed by reducing the cost of of training and adding more sources of biomass on planets. Even just a couple chests on the trash world would be nice. Or a way to buy the stuff.

Also a way to sell women on the ship would be great too. Maybe with a cap of 1000 coins just to get rid of the worthless ones.

Not just you, the game aspect of this game is unpolished and unbalanced as a whole. It feels like you're meant to cheat for now and learn everything by trial and error (or writing to a forum). Fortunately, the dev is not holding the cheats hostage.

I'm having the same problem after starting a new game on build 16. I don't have any tools that can lower will power, but its required.
You can use the mind control tool to lower there will power its a setting on the machine.
