Can someone help me, I can't for the love of god find the pool secret and the benches secret.
I feel like I have looked everywhere at every time.

*sigh* ok can someone tell me where or how to find Selene after the first day, and all the pods have been visited?

I swear sandbox game exploration will be the undoing of me, as trying to explore in sandboxes results in me getting frustrated and lost 12 times out of 10, I swear. I could practically do a rage video worthy of Markiplier Getting Over it levels.

I cannot stress enough how much i fucking hate this aspect of sandbox games, and how it makes me leary of even trying any that show this particular tag.

But that aside, this is seeming pretty interesting so far, and I really want to figure out how to progress and find out what's going on.

Apologies for the slight rant, but I just came back from giving up on my search for that redhead, I just keep going in circles and finding nothing.
Sorry just re-read your first line. I've got nothing.

You may not have completed the prerequisite "visit all the capsules" task (click all the sleep capsules in the room you woke in).

Then you should find selena sitting in the benches between 8 and 10 every day.

There's a post with relevant screenshots a few pages back in this thread.

Thats a very confusing comment. Can you post a screenshot of what exactly is "grainy"? And what does "partial sizes pasted onto each other" mean?
Not sure how it looks on your screen however on my end it feels like looking through sand. White, yellow and dark particles everywhere. Line uniformity is non extant. Have tricked my settings to try to get photos into focus with no luck. Am not sure what it is but on my end best I can describe for you is: smear some clear olive oil on a clear flat piece of glass and place it in front of your eyes. Might give you an idea. However no offense to the game itself or the dev. Photos and renders on this end are sandy, out of focus and just plane bad.
Also hitting yourself in the face only hears your face and hands. Does not affect me one bit. however thanks for your concern. Game now on ignore. Best of luck Though.

The sequence stops at the second button, and doesn't continue. I'm not sure about the aim of the mini-game, if it is like an actual sound system, I should press play after a sequence or what. Just show two buttons in sequence for me, and if I take too long to press the second it fails too, so it has a timer, but even getting the second button right, NO other button flashes. And I tried many times. I am using an old save by the way, and don't remember if I edited it... I'll try from the beginning with a new save when I have more time.
Maybe, try to move the mouse away from a trigger after a click. The sequence will increase by one additional button each round, but the first will stay the same, like:
first round: Button A flashing
click A
second round: Button A flashing -> Button D flashing
click A then D
third round: Button A flashing -> Button D flashing -> Button B flashing
click A then D then B
and so on...
Kinda like the simon says task in among us:

I am getting a CTD at the Breach mini-game after about 4 or 5 failed attempts. There was brief splash screen with something about a log but it happened too fast for me to click it. Now I have to start the whole thing over.
Sorry to hear. I've never experienced a crash to desktop. Mhmm. If it should happen again, could you send me the log-file? Unity automatically creates one at this position: %userprofile%\appdata\locallow\Marvellous Lunatic\A Long Journey\Player.log (File is only for the last session)

Does this answer maybe help? https://f95zone.to/threads/a-long-journey-v0-4-2-marvellous-lunatic.80170/post-7001159

I see the pool secret got 'solved'. The one with the benches. Have a look in the main hallway section for the apartments of the residential ring.

To be honest I'm not really sure what you mean.
I tried to follow and only can assume what you mean:
1647849249288.png
A) Are artifacts due to compression. They mostly appear in dark areas with low contrast. Nothing much I can do about while trying to keep the images at a reasonable size.

B) Those are render artifacts that appear mostly in depth of field areas, especially when reflections are involved like in this example. I could reduce this by increasing the render-time immensely, but this would postpone updates even further.

C) Perhaps you mean the gritty look, because of the sharpening I apply. Well, that's just the look I like. I think it amplifies skin-texture / skin-structure.

I assume you don't reference the water droplets on her skin? Other than that, I don't see any problems with this image. Quite the opposite, I'm pretty happy with it.

Are you intellectually impaired?
I'm not sure if this was meant to be rude or not. I'm glad you enjoy my game, but please don't be rude if it was meant that way. I wouldn't rule out that there might be a bug.

As this came up quite a few times I will reconsider making the Mini-games mandatory for the next update. No promise.
I wasn't. I just wanted to say that if you're colourblinded or your eyes are flash sensitive the dj game might be a problem.

I think that your "code" mini-game is very very easy, so you shouldn't make it optional (come on guys!).

The dj minigame is a "bonus" thing, so what's the problem?

I guess you might write a minigames' guide (how to solve them) and put it into the SD menu.

Anyway, I can't wait to see what happens next.

That is quite a good idea. It shouldn't be to much trouble to create short game-play videos and add them to the help tab.

The story is pretty dece. I like the main two and am excited for everyone else waking up.

The antagonists are mysterious, and it's like, "ok, we get it," but they might be too mysterious to the point where it's dragging. They're more a means to an end so I'm not mad at it.
I have the feeling that

What log? Unity leaves nothing! No possibility of saving on the desktop.
If the error happens and Unity doesn't crash down you should see an Exception-Screen where a button is that should let you copy the log-file to your clipboard.
Or, you go to %userprofile%\appdata\locallow\Marvellous Lunatic\A Long Journey\Player.log in your explorer and copy said file. (After a session with a crash)

Try downloading/updating your version C++ if you're using Windows.
(Same thing happened to me at some point.)

Just to clarify for others reading the thread: its the "Microsoft C++ Runtime Executable" that needs updating.

I'm wondering that too. That shouldn't happen. However, after some more research, it's probably a dependency issue of a lib I use. I updated the lib and try to resolve the issues that came along with the update. I hope it won't be necessary with the next build anymore.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
