Fact. I mean it just isn't my jam... not something I personally enjoy/like and as such I will not deal with such genre.
It’s understandable afterall not all fetishes can’t be universally liked, and a forced kink won’t be as well made as the others.
(Still put more milfs)

wait the game ends in 4 updates?
No and yes. First part, yes? Initially I intended to deal with ISOR in two parts, aka this and then sequel. Why? Well I have multiple reasons, one of them being because I don't want to burn myself out. Second ISOR already has a shit ton of content. There is at minimum 3 hours worth stuff in here.

That being said I'll do a project inbetween sequel just to freshen myself up with something, as I said I am trying to avoid burning myself out by constantly working on one thing. And it simply isn't my way to have a project that lasts five damn years. I want to actually do stuff and be done with stuff.

That's absolutely fair. Please don't burn yourself out. I just wasn't sure what you meant, but I understand now. I'm looking forward to both, regardless. You're a talented writer and I thoroughly enjoyed the game, that's why I was concerned for a minute.

I'll be damned, nicest shit I've heard someone tell me in all my time here.

Thanks for the motivation buff! As long as you're enjoying the stuff that's what matters! And yeah, don't worry. I'll get back to sequel of this when I'm done with stuff inbetween, just need to freshen up a bit with something new.

Well, I'm glad you heard it from me first. Good devs should always hear this kinda thing. We need more good quality vns, and the foundation for that's built on communication from the players after all. Take your time though, don't rush. Just knowing it'll keep going is good enough for me. :D

Agreed. Though just as much as we need that, we also need people like you! Far too much hurr durr going around... and little to no nice words.

Sandbox bad, again sandbox really bad, did I mention sandbox bad?
Story terrible, always comes before sex scenes and also there is sandbox in it.

CONCLUSION: I am a professional reviewer, source: trust me (And sandbox bad)
Did you know that the sandbox got in the way of me hitting control so I could have sex?
Man, this damn sandbox is so frustrating, I can't even build a freaking sandcastle with the sand in this sandbox, how dare such a monstrosity exist?!

Jokes aside, I said this to Mr.Rooster, dev of Wartribe Academy, another one of those "cursed" sandbox games.
I just like sandbox style games, because I enjoy pursuing a characters story on my own terms. If there's a girl I don't like as much, initially, I can just play their story last. If there's a character I've fallen in love with, I can play theirs first. For me, that is the ultimate experience. People hate on sandbox games, but for me, they're the PEAK of player experience. You control everything, from who you pursue first, to who you pursue last. It's literally all about player choice, and that should be the bottom line for any game. VN style or not. It's the apex of player immersion, in my opinion. I'm aware people don't like that, and I'm well aware for most people these games are nothing more than fapping simulators, but I always play these for the story first. I think the ultimate form of respect to an author, is to immerse yourself in the world they're building for you. But again, that's just me and my point of view and I'm more than aware there's others with quite different points of view. And I respect those as well, even if I disagree. But to leave a 1* rating just because you don't like having control over the choices you make in a game is bizarre to me, and... maybe even a little bit entitled maybe? Also, absolutely disrespectful to any and all devs of a visual novel.

I absolute agree, sandboxes have slowly gained the reputation of items of destruction, of terrible gameplay, but in reality it’s just a medium like any others to present a game, it can be used wrongly and amazingly well.
My favorite games on this site are sandboxes because they let me explore, do my stuff, meet people and decide who I want to approach first.
If you don’t like the genre in the first place you should not play it and not even review it, it’s like when you play a game based about feet and you bitch about continuously.
It’s a disrespectful form of arrogance.

Pretty much yeah. Agreed with all said here. If you don't like sandbox, don't play sandbox games. Period.

I absolutely HATE sandbox games. Hate. They suck.

But I play this game, Wartribe Academy and several others.

I think the problem isn't that sandbox games suck, it's that the majority of sandbox games are done so badly. It's much harder to make a sandbox game than it is a linear game, even one with many choices. Let me amend that - it's harder to make a good sandbox game. Sandbox games, being more intricate, are harder to do well and I think many developers attempt them before they are skilled enough story-tellers and game designers to pull it off.

"Sandbox" has become synonymous with "quicksand" in many players eyes because a poorly made game can suck you into a quagmire of shit you can't ever find your way out of or progress in. Some people, like our intrepid "reviewer" above get such a hatred and phobia of sandbox games that any sandbox aspect it evil and the rise of Satan. If I see a "sandbox" tag, but everything else looks interesting, I'll give it a try but it has to capture me. I probably give sandbox games a more "stern" test than non-sandbox because I have to be sold on the idea that the sandboxing-around will be worth it and possible to do. Some are well enough done that if I don't see the sandbox tag, it doesn't occur to me until I've played several updates that it is, in fact, a sandbox game. Story and visuals override the style of gameplay.

Sandbox games are kind of like mystery novels, you have to figure them out. If it is too difficult, or nonsense, they both suck. Done well they are interesting, engaging and fun.

Sandbox is also easy to target because it has a tag, a label. If "Games that suck" was a tag or label we would all avoid those or bitch about them as much as we do sandbox. I hate "games that suck" just as bad or worse than sandbox because it's easier to do......provided you actually have visuals and story that (insert ominous music) don't suck. ;)

On the other note, I leave very few reviews. I got burned early on F95zone by giving positive reviews to games that changed drastically during development (to the point that I hated them), or negative reviews that were polite and descriptive only to have them deleted as " not following review guidelines". A game has to be pretty far along for me to review it positively and I don't even bother with negative ones. There is one game I used to play that went into a "reboot" mode that everyone hated. no on, and I mean NO ONE liked it. Not only did all new negative reviews disappear, but ANY negative review ever posted disappeared. The game shows a 5 star rating even though the thread is nothing but bitching about the game......which hasn't been updated since.

I'm working on a game myself.....it is NOT going to be sandbox. I'm having enough of a learning curve trying to put together a linear branching story and game without trying to tackle sandbox :ROFLMAO:. Because I also hate "games that suck" I'm trying to avoid all of the issues I hate in other games, which makes it difficult. Expect to see it sometime in 2035:oops:

I absolutely HATE sandbox games. Hate. They suck......but as I think about it 20-25% of the games on my computer are probably sandbox games.

Just goes to show it's easy to hate a label.

I mean there a lot sandboxes done wrong, especially translated in the “Oh shit we don’t have enough content just put grinding points everywhere and the same scenes over and over that will fix that” problem.
But I will still play them, even for trying them once, even if they are notorious, I am like a moth in front of a fire, sometimes I find a gem and sometimes I find Big brother latest relative

Just trying to see where the content is currently ended. I was told by the Queen to scout for demons near the city with Irana, but she never comes by, and all actions just loop saying "end of content for current version". Is going to that city with the Queen the end of Chapter 5 (as I couldn't recall even seeing a chapter designation)?

If she told you to wait for the witch Irina, then that is the end of content for 0.6, yes.
