Yes...I said they are coherent plotlines. I never said they were real or believable. We all (I hope) know that these stories would be impossible in real life (or at least extremely unlikely). But the stories of the games I listed (and many others) are clear, well developed, easy to follow, and draws the reader/player into the story...making the characters come alive in more than just images. That's what novels/stories are supposed to do. Lord of the rings isn't real either...but its still a great, coherent, story. And if that distinction is lost on you then you are right...there is no point continuing this discussion.

I don't know if any of this game makes sense, but I'm enjoying it so you know what? Fuck it. I'll play another scene where he cuts a girl's hair to get enough money to learn how to use the internet or something. I'll turn off my brain when I wonder why the fuck he is entertaining getting involved in this petty drama with the street gang. This game may not know what it is, but it is plucky enough to keep on punching away long after its audience is incredulous. Kind of like a James Gunn movie. I'm still looking forward to the next update, so the game has to be doing something right.

I think that all three are well teed up for it, though. The teasing is affecting them too. I'm taking bets that the order is going to be middle child, oldest, then youngest. Once that happens I will take a bet on who will be in the first threesome.

There have been a few VN's that pissed me right off by doing this, can't recall if this particular one did or not. None the less I find that there are so many writers that are attempting to just fill space which puts it at great risk of just being random and as enjoyable as farting just to fill space.. hence I call these VN's Fart Scenarios.

I've been thinking about the current endpoint and I don't think that the VN is going that badly storywise. Keep in mind I only do the nice daddy playthrough. I can't bear to be mean to the girls because they are too darn cute. But the main bone of contention seems to be Chloe's storyline. I have to admit that it doesn't quite fit with the other two. Tegan's storyline seems to only be held back by her personal reservations or fear of getting caught by her sisters. Typical romantic comedy stuff. The source of conflict for Felicia seems to be her inexperience and inexplicable lack of self-confidence. Typical coming-of-age story stuff. Chloe's storyline is a Quinton Tarantino movie.

I don't have any issues with the mugging in the park scene, as that seemed to be a natural escalation of the storyline as I played it. I was glad that I punched Brad twice in his stupid face, though. As for handling the three assailants, he probably did the right thing. If Brad could punch him in the stomach three times and only give him a tummyache he probably isn't a threat to him on his own. Of the other two, one of them had a knife and the other looked like he could break a walnut in his elbow. Probably not the right time for fisticuffs. It's not as if MC was in jail for being John Wick. He just let a gay guy fall down some stairs.

I do agree that putting the first full sex scene, with Petra of all people, between the mugging and the talk with Chloe might have been a slip-up. It totally broke the tension. If I were to be editing this script I would put the scene in the park after that fuckfest. For one thing, the MC would be riding high and be due for some humility (and probably low on energy lol). That would more naturally lead to the conversation with Chloe and make the whole thing seem more urgent. Just consider that a director's note. Both the scenes are fine, they are just in the wrong order. This is something that could be easily fixed in one update.

What I can't judge yet is the decision to either pay up or incarcerate Brad. They both sound like plans that put Chloe in undue jeopardy. I will reserve judgment until I see how those scenes play out. It also seems to be the impetus to force the MC to make decisions that will put him in deeper trouble. Getting involved with Petra's dad sounds like a horrible idea, and the fact that he is next-door neighbors with that shark of a lawyer who is Emma's dad despite the fact that he runs guns and is involved with human trafficking doesn't bode well for that relationship either. It all seems to tie together with the dead cop husband of the neighbor lady and his crooked partner. The chances of them being all connected seem better than average. This means that the MC is walking through a minefield and a happy little game about banging your stepdaughters is one bad day away from being Reservoir Dogs.

So this may be why the game still merits my interest. It isn't progressing so slowly that you spend all your playtime cradling your blue balls. Yet it is also progressing storywise at a good clip. There are plenty of non-story elements that could be separately criticized, but I am trying to stay focused at the moment. The game has room for improvement in terms of its story, but it is far from being an unsalvagable mess like some of the games on this site.

I kinda feel like the mc being in prison for 16 years then coming home to have all the girls fall in love with him to be well ridiculous, it's obvious that killer7's VN is a huge influence on this VN but yeah what I would have done instead to make the mc more likeable and have it so it feels more fluid is this

The mc has been a prisoner of 'War' for 16 years after being on tour and being captured by the enemy (take your pick with which country) and after a deal is made that gets the mc released he returns home, not a soldier of outstanding class but a soldier thats been awarded some medals for heroic deeds none the less (also sets up storylines of the MC's guilt over losing friends in firefights and such) it could also bring the girls closer to him in a way, like maybe he has nightmares about his imprisonment, maybe he was tortured, it gives more emotional weight in my opinion since the women would be drawn to him and his own emotional suffering and they could bring the mc out of this, he also wouldn't be a bum that's pennyless

Like a small story switch like that would make me think ok this story is actually pretty cool and makes a lot more sense, but him going to prison for a crime he didn't commit feels to easy since he just comes home and everythings cool and all the Li fall for this ex con

Idk something a little more emotional should have been used as a background, think about it to when he comes home and the daughters are surprised and shocked to see their step father is still alive again adding more emotional story and healing the pain knowing that this man didn't really die overseas

Like even my little story switch sounds ridiculous but the usefulness of all the different themes of him being a prisoner of war would bring more depth into the story and add to the MC's character

It's not a bad VN but the backstory feels like theres a lot left to be desired

I put together a combination ipatch/Walkthrough for this VN, but I highlighted almost all the same choices you'd get if you play using the "Read Mode" (or choose all the Green menu items in the regular game). Also added the points awarded/subtracted for all choices. You can wander off the choice(s) I show in green, but it may not result in what you were hoping to happen.

Made a few minor changes to awarded points, and edited some grammar, punctuation, syntax, etc. (This is ongoing, and I may release more versions of this mod with further edits, please stay tuned if interested.)

NOTE: If you get an error at startup that mentions variables defined twice... just click the "Reload " linked text on-screen, that should clear the error.

Install just the one mod (ipatch-only or combined) that matches the version of SYL you're playing. So if playing game version 7.1, use either of the ones at the bottom depending on which you want.

I'm not sure if I'm going to see this one through to completion. For me, it's a slow burn with little to no satisfactory lewd content and inferior renders/animation (except the youngest, she's definitely cute and has that angsty thing going for her).

Triple X isnt for me, it's got ntr and even though the one doing the ntr stuff is a woman it's still not my thing, I've read and been told by people the content of that VN and the characters personalitys and some of the storylines and I would probably be very annoyed playing it to be honest since I hate ntr whether its a man or woman so yeah

I have been playing the game using the WT mod and was wondering what the pink-colored choices mean?

The green I imagine is for being friendly, and the red for being rude. I am guessing that the pink color is the more erotic choice but I am wondering how it is different from the green choices since both seem to gain the character points.

There is one choice in particular that confuses me if that is the case in the conversation where you talk to Vanessa after Felica and Hanna get back from their run. I get what the green and red ones mean but the third one is marked pink even though no points get added or taken away??
