I don't think I can agree. Like you I'd find the game a lot more interesting if it focused on a mutually consensual swinging take, but that seems more like personal preference than it is an objective measure of quality. As depressingly oversaturated as the NTR/cuckold approach is, it's a valid kink in its own right and it clearly has some staying power. It's a big pond so I can't exactly blame KingB for wanting to swim in it. We can debate whether this game is a big or small fish in that pond, but at the end of the day it's his game so he gets to call the shots.
Personally, I think the actually does do a pretty decent job on the alternate paths. Yes, progress can be slow and there's a lot less content relative to the BBC-crazed-cheating-wife routes, but we still get enough to hold my interest and the quality is pretty decent. If you make the right choices it's clear that Nat (and even Darrel on occasion) respect Ethan and value his perspective. That's a substantially more than we usually get in games that permit the existence of more than one penis. The biggest misstep, IMHO, is that Ethan can't contradict Sam when he says to leave the wives alone at the swingers party, but even there Ethan is still new at this and Sam is - by all appearances - not a great role model to begin with.
So I don't think it's fair to say that trying to portray multiple routes hurts the game's objective quality. I think it's more accurate to say that it slows down development considerably and dilutes the enjoyability of the game to varying degrees depending on the path and your own tastes. Whether getting a game with a 30% swinging/60% NTR mix is better than having a game with either 100% swinging or 100% NTR is one of those glass half full/half empty questions that tend to hinge on whether your ox is the one that winds up getting gored.

IMO there are more than enough people and paths already.
Ethan and Nat are the protagonists, Sam and Jenna as their muses and mentors, Riya (maybe) and Darrel are the main romantic rivals or the occasional alternative playmates. Peter is their foil.
The main cast is complete, side characters can come and go, like Vance, Carl, Matt, Tavon, Jack, etc. added to spice up the story.
As much as I agree that things could get stale and devolve into just another sausagefest, there is no sign that it is... just not yet
