Wow i am still in shock at the loss of AoA, probably checked the site a dozen times to see if there is any news.
I know some don't think much of the story, but there was definitely an emotional draw to this one, going to miss it. Likely won't be any news of why this happened anytime soon or maybe at all, just can't help looking for some though. Would have made the holidays better, TLG WHY? Why you do this.

I never thought i would meet another AVN character that rivaled Tybalt but then Adam showed up at our door. I feel you 100% on all accounts. Dude was gonna reach King Joffrey level of hatred.I was ready to cut his nuts off and feed them to him. Yes, I know. I'm an aggressive and violent person.
New info came up that the dev is from Singapore or at least in the asian side of the world. Although nothing is concrete yet about the dev's situation, creating and distributing pornographic materials is a crime in Singapore. If he indeed is from Singapore, make of that what you will.
Yeah, because his patreon initially accepted euro, but that info was told by the only person closest thing to a mod for his discord server.

Hi, I was wondering if patrons can request for clarification from Patreon on why a specific page or project was removed? Not specifically but something along the lines of Patreon rule violation (does not have to know which rule(s) exactly), self termination, violation of a country (US, foreign) law etc. I don't know much about Patreon but it seems reasonable for patrons to access certain information since they're a customer of Patreon albeit indirectly. Cheers.

Honestly i'm confused , i was not using my pc for a whole month because my job time
but i remember that chapter 6 would be the last chapter of the game and also that the chapter was almost ready
with date of release and all.
And today i came to the forum and found a abandoned tag , and read some posts of the forum to try understanding
what is happening D:
I'm honestly lost , because i have no idea of what happened to him make that decision.
But i remember one post of TLG on his patreon page from around 2 years ago ( when i started playing vn's and A.O.A was the second vn i played at the time ) , the post was about the game and that he was not happy with the ways and where the game is leading , because he created that story to be developed slowly , earn trust of the characters and etc.
But he had to rush the story because a lot of patreons members keep sending DM's to him asking "when the fck this game will have sex?" and more kinds of this dm's .
JUST TO MAKE CLEAR , I'M NOT DEFENDING HIM , JUST SAYING WHAT HAPPENED AND WHAT I REMEMBER!
So basicaly , he had a type of game in mind and was forced to change his story and the way the game was
to make his patreons subscribers happy about the game , even if that made he do the game rushed and not with the story
he had in mind ( and yeah he was very unhappy about that stuff ).

See that's why I really do Patreon members so much all the damn time! They feel like they are entitled to make the final say in every VN. Its so pathetic that people can't enjoy a game, even if its, slow for what it is supposed to be. If it was me, I would of said that this my project and I already had plans to carry this on for another 4 chapters after chapter 3. If they thought it was "moving to slow", they could of easily dropped the game and moved on to another one at the time, but they had to act like assholes towards him and push him since they couldn't fulfill their sex drives with how slow it was going.

Would it make any difference? If you are a patron, better do a charge back with your cc to recoup some lost money.

I doubt he did it because he wanted to but because he had to, for some reason. The next chapter was to be the last one and he was close to release so it makes no sense for him just quit.

It's a speculation. The Dev posted a message 2 years ago that he had to go to bed because it was 5 where he lived. Most likely he ment 5am and comparing it to the time the message was for the reader they got that he was in the UTC +8 time zone meaning the Dev was from Asia in the same time zone as Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai or parts of Russia. Alternative it was 5pm and he was in Toronto or Brazil, but that's doubtful.
But some claim he's from Ukraine, so who knows.

I heard of the Ukrainian speculation as well & some thought he was gonna perish in the ongoing war. Curious is any of the other popular devs think about this situation. They may not because they’re working on their own projects but I just have this image of the Top 30 AVN devs in the world in some kind of what’s app group chat or something discussing things lol.

It's so weird. His last post on Patreon was apparently just a few days before it got taken down where he mentioned that the next update would be released at the end of October.

At least if we know something concrete or 'official', there will be less speculative and conspiracy theories regarding why this game was abandoned.
There will still such comments but not so rampant.
Different reasons can suggest different expectations, if there is possibility that the project can continue in the future or not (completely abandoned).
There are other projects marked Abandoned on technicality, later resume like previously.
If there is no 'official' reason, then it is in limbo, we just don't know.
Regardless of anything, patrons should recoup their lost money.
