Good game, some really good renders, good music, the only thing that i really don't like is that there is contented locked in paths...in my opinion is a horrible way to make a game, good choices are "you want this girl yes/no, you like this fetish yes/no" blocking some characters because you choose one path or other is a horrible option in a porn game. Or you make multiple saves that in my opinion is boring as hell and complete fuck the idea of a porn game or go without some character love and wait for a godsend modder to make a gallery unlocker to just see the scenes. If you put love behind some character story, that should always appear in the game not be a path where you choose one or another.

Different strokes for different folks. In my opinion i really hate having content locked, if was not a porn game i'm complete ok with the idea of having different paths, in a porn game i really don't like the idea of "i need multiple saves" because in the end i tend to like all the girls, there was just one game in this site that i have played that in the end i dislike someone.

I agree that some stuff here is not porn, and the "porn" and "game" both have meaning, but that don't mean that game is not something that is not on "railroad", visual novels or VN what this game have in his description may or not may have different outcomes.

But in the end is what you like or not, i don't like having someone in a "porn game" being locked behind paths, if was a choice for example "you like this yes/no" for me is a good choice because like i said everyone like something different, having someone locked because you choose her sister than her in what is a "harem game" (tags) or don't go to some place is stupid in my opinion.

Sometimes it pays off to browse around the site for new games, among a lot of forgetful stuff there are gems in the making, like this one!
I'm definitely looking forward to new chapters, and might even get the Steam version.
Appreciate that "shy guy" angle looking for a new start and I don't mind that you have to choose some paths instead of others.
Though I will have a hard time choosing between Natalie and Mei...

I get no indication if a character likes anything. I have the option turned on, but I never see anything. Nothing. Such as the entire first conversation with your aunt and the hugging. I have tried both versions of the entire conversation. Nothing. I hear a little sound like something is supposed to happen, but nothing does. This happens at every choice. But, I get no indication if it is liked, ever. I tried toggling the option on and off. Still nothing. So, can't really play the game frankly.

The multiple paths thing needs to go away in these games. Utterly tired of it. I play a game once, that's enough. There are other games to play too. Give people an option if they want to see everything in one playthrough, otherwise, I wait for a mod.

What would be nice, is the phone giving information about the LI's personalities. This way, I didn't have to play Chapter 1, 3 of the 4 possible ways. Since I like edgier LI's I could of avoided 2 or 3 of the ladies.

Still enjoyed the first chapter on an enjoyable game.

PS: Playing multiple paths at the same time will cause me to burnout on the game. Did that a couple of times .

Chapter 2 of A Shot in the Dark. Although it might appear the percentage progress is increasing slowly, please know that lots of work is being done. Chapter 2 currently has 560 still renders and 19,000 words written and it's not even halfway done!

Despite having less scenes than Chapter 1, the scenes in Chapter 2 have significantly more content and it's taking longer to develop than anticipated. Because of this, we have decided to split Chapter 2 into two releases (V0.15 and V0.2). Both releases will stand on their own with ~800 renders, ~20 animations, and ~20,000 words of script.

Tentative release cycle for the rest of 2022:

A Shot in the Dark, 1st half of Chapter 2 (V0.15) - July/August

A Shot in the Dark, 2nd half of Chapter 2 (V0.2) - September/October

A Shot in the Dark, Chapter 3 (V0.25) - November/December

There are two scenes at the end of Chapter 2 that will have particularly complex renders and animations, and we did not want to rush those scenes for the sake of a faster release cycle. Splitting Chapter 2 into two updates will allow us to stay on track for 2-3 month release cycles without compromising the quality of the content.

We do not anticipate future chapters to be as long as either of these first two chapters. They necessitated more content in order to introduce all the characters and set up the story.

Hello everyone! We hope our fans in the Northern Hemisphere are staying cool despite all these heat waves.

We are still making steady progress on the first half of Chapter 2 (V0.15) of A Shot in the Dark. Both of our PCs are rendering animations around the clock and Josselyn is doing her best to get ahead on writing and posing renders for the second half of Chapter 2 (V0.2).

A few new features coming in Chapter 2 have been tedious to implement and test, but we are so excited to see what you think of them! Our goal is to have a version ready for play testers next week, and -- assuming that testing goes smoothly -- a release to our fans in early August.

Prince of Suburbia V0.8 is currently on track for a late August or early September release. This version will hopefully include the updated sprites, which we have been posting previews of on our Patreon and SubscribeStar pages.
Josselyn has also been recruiting and hiring writers to help with both games. Finding and getting new people up to speed is obviously a time-consuming process, but will hopefully allow us to keep up with our goal of 2-3 month release cycles for both games.

Good renders and interesting story. Hope not all girls are slutty, hope that we can use more the camera to take sneaky photos, in the choices instead having 2 we could have 3 like that would be a little harder to know wich answers the girls would like. Overall the game has lot of potential.

I only play these games BECAUSE of the multiple paths... I like to be able to replay and get a different outcome. I think the "Mod:ALL" would be good for people who want to see everything, but to say that "Multiple paths need to go away" is absolutely absurd.
