I think you should tell him that you use Unity asset viewing and extracting software to extract Texture2D file, then assemble it in photoshop or other image processing software.

Ah okay, I'm more of a caveman, I cut out the parts myself (on a screenshot) that I think I can use to "create" a scene
on the other hand, it makes me want to learn 2d animation with bones and ring on unity

But if you want to do that you can do it by

1. Extract the texture file (in .PNG) from the asset file

2. Edit the extracted texture file to your liking

3. Replace the existing texture file in asset file with your edited texture file (recommend using software like Unity asset bundle extractor)
