Ah, so you weren't hostile whenever anyone else gave more criticism than you liked, gave criticism you didn't like, wanted a certain storyline you didn't agree with, didn't like that updates took so long or any other reason you don't think is correct? You were just the perfect host then?

You do know there's a report button you can use if you think a comment doesn't belong in the thread right? It's really easy to use and can give you better results than just insulting people.

Not at all. I'm more than happy to hear any criticism or commentary, as long as it's respectful, courteous & presented honestly in good faith. For example, if you just look one or 2 pages back, there was someone else that was asking to add an ending with Mark & angelica together plus Henry & Aria together. & I not only courteously & respectfully replied with a clear explanation as to why that wouldn't work, but additionally, since he stated that he's inexperienced but wants to become a writer, I gave him a lot of helpful info to help him get started on the basics, such as the 6 Aristotelian rules from the poetics, gave a lot of useful reference material from skilled writers, etc... So I'm more than happy to discuss feedback that I don't agree with.

Likewise, there's some on the discord that provided feedback on bits that I wanted to add to the story, but they thought it was a bad idea, they presented their case & convinced me not to do it. For example, On some of the more egregious alternate paths for Mark, I had a scene idea in mind where Mark was zip tied to a chair, had a line carved around his face, then his face peeled off, then the underlying tissue packed with salt. I was convinced of why that would be a bad idea by feedback from others.

So as long as someone actually comes to me in good faith with honest, rational feedback & handles themselves in an honest, & respectable way, I'm more than happy to hear them out with an open mind, as well as consider their requests for the game.

That wasn't the case with Swooosh. He constantly posts in bad faith, is constantly willfully ignorant of basic common sense & simple logic with the nonsense he spouts out, can't comprehend simple concepts, such as why a guy with a wife, family, additional partners & a full time job, doing this on very limited spare time can't churn out an update as fast as a team of people that do this as their full time job, His simple minded bullshit about "It's just porn broh, Y u talk bout story? If I wunt story, I play not porn. So u take pron out, see how gud it duz do". Anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together already knows that if someone wants just porn, they go to porn hub, if they want just a story, they play typical indie games, & if they want BOTH, they play adult VNs like this. If someone wants just porn & not the story, using a VN to feed that need is by all measures objectively retarded. THAT is why I went off on him. & no, I'm not going to use the report option unless I have to, I prefer to handle problems on my own.

I have talked with Slappy Kinkaid and I have never had a problem with him but we all do have our off days

Slappy only has two modes. Silent observation or aggressively outspoken. The majority of the time he is perfectly content letting me do the communication on behalf of the game because i tend to be more civil and patient with answering the same thing over and over. However there are times that it has gotten to the point of him being so fed up with people trolling specifically to get a rise out of him that he can't help himself.

He understands the frustration of the update not being out yet. Trust me he is just as frustrated as we all are. Cut him some slack these things take time. Honestly it's better to be frustrated waiting for the update then after it launches because it was rushed and not on par with previous releases. It's taking this long because he respects the project and wants to do justice to what Saruh originally created. Let him do it right and I'm sure the update will prove worth the wait.

Yes there will be an update. A progress update. However the release of the game update itself will take more time. Once closer to release a target date will be announced.

Seriously though, Like we keep saying, Very limited free time & 20k lines of renders. If you want a text only version of the update, say the word & I'll send it right over. But if you want renders, you have to be patient & wait until I'm done making them. It's a LOT of time consuming work, & very little free time to make progress on it.

Dang, got lots of scene ideas but my poetry is worse than a vogon's poetry, and we all know how bad that is!

At this point maybe it's better to label the game abandoned and then when the update does come out people will be pleasantly surprised rather then impatient and entitled. Would people prefer no game/update or waiting a little longer for an update.... hrm.... tough choice.

That's counter productive to let the game be labeled abandoned. It is being actively worked on daily. The size of the upcoming update is larger than what the normal size update used to be. With that said, with as much content coming in this upcoming content the rendering required also takes time to produce. The wait will be worth it, just need to be patient.
