Possible, but unlikely. Mobum (the developer) stopped this originally because Patreon didn't like it. So he then started Runaway Princess, but apparently now his country says you can't create pornography of any kind (so not even renders in a game). I feel like he's got so many obstacles at this point that this game will never go any further.

That would definitely be the hope. If he can get to another country that's more free with that stuff, he could continue, since it wasn't Patreon that was the problem this last time.

His last statement when abandoning was " cannot share the details but it's about the legal issue in where I live (Porns are prohibited in here, even though it's 21st century). " No doubt Australia recently proved being rather strict on certain "excesses", but other countries have much more restricted regulations on pornography!
I understand Mobum was very very sorry when forced to take that decision. And we can do nothing but rescpect it and his silence.
