Are the devs telling the story they want? Honestly, the last update seemed to be the beginning of a retcon in the form of a long convoluted story that barely made any sense at all but had to incorporate all of the little clues or red herrings scattered around the game up to that point. Fine, because it also explained why the wife was so into having sex with more than one man at one time, which would supposedly be a more common occurrence in their new open relationship. It also had several "check-in" choices where the player could confirm and confirm and confirm that yes, they are definitely ok with the open relationship and with the wife having sex with other men. Why were these check-ins necessary? Because a bunch of sad little boys---who can't tell the difference between reality and fantasy and apparently have trouble getting girls IRL can't accept that ALL of the porn games don't allow them to have harems full of all the hot women without any effort at all---went and complained to the dev that it hurt their wittle feewings that Steph would have sex with another men despite A FUCK TON of choices being made by the MC at the beginning to manipulate her into fucking other guys so that he could bang his friend's hot wife. Then this new update
ignores literally every single bit of content in the game except for that first conversation with Jason. "Do you want to fuck my wife?" "Why certainly, my good man." Skip to MC fucking Tori. Steph now refuses to be with another guy even if the MC wants it. She is now ashamed of her "horrible" behavior despite telling us she loved it in the last update and the MC repeatedly telling her he was also into it and affirming her desires. So the "open relationship" means that the crybabies get to have their MC harem game with a faithful wife. YAY!!! SO MUCH FUCKING FUN!!!
As a writer, I am finding it more and more difficult, the more I think about it, to figure out how the devs are going to turn this plane around at this point. The last update and this update completely undid everything that was in the story. So now where do they have left to go? Have another update that retcons part of the retcon? Quite frankly, I don't know if they are actually talented enough as writers to pull it off. The Monologue(TM) from the last update was barely passable.
