Reading the source there is nothing about chopping wood in the final scene. Are you getting this during the FBI scene? If you completed G1 you should have enough strength. In the console check the variables mcstrength and mcmaxstrength. What are the values?

there is a walkthrough of sorts in an excel like sheet, it worked 95% of the way for me.

Just use the URM (Universal Renpy Mod) to cheat. Search for values or guessed bits of variables like mc or lena or smth - it works fine

worked fine, was able to have them all in, there were few bugs, which am assuming its fixed by now, if not did fix it myself and wrote in guide
beside i am done with this game for over a year now

Sadly, just tried the harem mod with a play-through of this game and I ran into an issue where the game was stuck at the Harem Management screen and couldn't proceed beyond it. So I just uninstalled the mod and continued on and it hasn't been an issue after letting the girls over the max drop out. Unless I'm missing a technical limitation, it seems to be there purely as a game mechanic as some girls give you advantages in areas and unlocks in the game (though some set you back, too) per the walkthrough.

well there were 2 of them at that time, you can try to search for the 2nd one, should be somewhere in thread, they both came pretty much at same time so you got at least time table to search
