I like the furry wolf girl... RIP. It's disappointing to see how a project with so much popularity and support ends up simply forgotten and abandoned, without updates for almost 2 years.

Even if there is an update, and after that? Another two years waiting for an update? I can't see a good future for a game when the dev has lost real interest in development.
For the love of, the game HASN’T been abandoned, the devs made it abundantly clear they were releasing the entire game at once from the start of development with the exception of a demo.

A random dev, who talks a lot but doesn't deliver, doesn't gain everlasting truth either.
Kaliyo and their team have made multiple games, hell the team was one of the FIRST actual weg teams. they’ve also explicitly stated that they’re never doing a release like Arenus ever again specifically due to the problems that have cropped up during it’s development. Is it annoying as hell that they haven’t just but the bullet and released the game in a bugged state to get it done? Yes. But besides being annoying it doesn’t efffect me, because I’ve never paid them a cent.

That abandonned tag were something i feel like "about time" (altough i know the game isn't abandoned), however it feels like too early. Accroding to the last post:
I don't want to give out a specific release date. I suck at that, we all know, heh.
But maybe June or July could be interesting months for us.
With the abandonned tag is on, let us return to the question!
How many Roundscape update will happen, before Arenus is out?

Well they did state the next Roundscape update will only happen after Arenus release and it'll be the final Roundscape update too (named Gold update). What's in the future for the dev will now be a mystery

Ummm, there's already 3 post is about Roundscape on the Patreon, after the Arenus post?
Don't get me wrong, i'd like to see this game is going out! I'm just skeptical about that, you can't blame me for that.

But to make the joke back on track:
What will happen first, Roundscape gets abandoned, or Arenus gets update?
(All for the fun, don't quote my line seriously)

It's about time the abandoned tag got slapped on this, it's bitter sweet but hopefully someday we can all come back to this and see it changed to completed. FSZHnGwaQAA-dhx.jpg

Ah, I hope we don't strive for the good old "you didn't pay, you shouldn't talk about it" argument. Because it's not about who paid cash or not but about how many games they "plan" to release, or still have on the wip table. They already fucked up big time by announcing Arenus way too early. I'm an understanding person but the guy who was in charge of that project needs some serious 101 lessons in how a project has to run. The two main problems I have with the whole story is...

a) starting something they were not prepared for and it went more and more bad while they had other projects running at the same time
b) according to your comment they said they won't do it again which I call bullshit at that point. They proved in the past that they don't learn and have one project at the time that has proper bug testing and enough quality to count as a new build.

So yeah, if I had half your optimism I could buy me a new car from that. Probably a bugged one but oh well. :Kappa:

They've said that every other month for more then a year, but this time is the one right? Lmao
Thanks, at least one voice of reason in that madhouse thread. X3

Roundscape is one of the biggest nsfw games out there, and that's because we released content for it every single month. The ultimate mistake I made with Arenus was to go with a "final release" instead of early access and monthly updates like Roundscape. The pressure and work required to release one finished game is massive, the amount of unfinished NSFW games out there shows that.

We wanted to finish this project on our own, without having a publisher who forces us to add microtransactions to the game. I understand that delays suck, but maybe look back at how much we created in the past before trying to cancel us.

About the abandoned tag. Occam's razor: Like we would cancel a game that we invested so much time and money into.
Sometimes the easiest explanation is the right one.

No need to reply to this, i'm not here to start a discussion, was told by someone about the abandoned tag and wanted to write a small comment. But I like the tag, makes me feel like the underdog, especially with people trying to cancel us, so please keep it.

You should come back to this AFTER you released Arenus and the majority of bugs are fixed. Right now the timing is a bit off but as an experienced and calculating person you wouldn't happen to make such mistakes, yes?

-Game gets a lot of hype, patreon subscriptions increase
-Developer can't even set himself a date of release for literally years
-Community starts to hate him for delays
-Gets abandoned tag
-Developer proves his point
-Refuses to elaborate

The end of July is coming with the indefinite day of release... but you can't be so sure because he didn't said which YEAR it will be. Classic Kaliyo moment

He's pushed it off again. (SURPRISE, not really)

Now the Steam page shows Q4 2022. He's really fleecing his suckers patrons.

Wasn't that the case for a while now? As far as I know, steam release was intented to be a couple months after patreon release.

It was supposed to be Q2, then Q3, and now it's pushed off to Q4. I fully expect to see it go into 2023 in the next couple of months.
