Okay, uh, why is this game so popular exactly?

Unfortunately I had to drop it because the renders are so off-putting. Maybe they get better eventually (I hope because it makes me furious that such low level of quality is being encouraged on this site) but I sure didn't notice any improvements.

Most of them are extremely blocky. No usage of good coloring, and lighting is pretty much as basic as it gets. The facial expressions are borderline terrifying, though I guess that's the result when you just use premade DAZ expressions and crank them up to the max.

I can almost taste the low effort here, and it's not a great taste.

I dont like the dev's art style very much either but I think the setting is unique (it has this tech startup vibe that I have not seen in many other games) and I liked the characters personalities. While I dislike MC's personalty I can overlook that because I really like some of the LIs like Kindra. Because of the above I think this is a well made game. Different people play these games for different reasons and for me personally the visuals arent everything. In fact some of my favorite games on this website are pretty terrible when it comes to the quality of porn.

On some level, I'd probably agree. Some of the girls' expressions are... unnerving to say the least. But the game's concept is pretty cool and the characters seem to be really fleshed-out. Have been so far, at least. *shrug*

He's a troll or a shill for another game...

Digi.b has created 3000+ high quality renders in 6 months. That's enough to make any game dev or supporters of the dev extremely jealous/embarrassed/inferior. So many 300 renders every 4 month devs must be pissed

Different people different tastes. Not the guy you replied to but some of the renders hit the uncanny valley for me. It is one of the things I dont particularly like about this game along with the MC's character (I am not a fan of of angsty protagonists whatever their backstory may be).

But on the other hand the game has a lot going for it - I love the setting, the writing and the personalities of the girls - dont care much for the college sidegirls but I really like the redhead and Kindra. The ex girlfriend is also very well written - she is one of the few bad guys in adult games that I actually dislike. And despite me not being the biggest fan of the art I appreciate the work that the dev is putting in. Its a solid 4/5 game for me even with my complaints.

Goooooood morning, Night city!

This was a fun week, sort of. Had some small snafus, but nothing that affects development. I went a little crazy and purchased some assets and realized my drive that houses all my DAZ assets only has about 500MB left. I ordered a 6TB drive that should be coming in tomorrow. I currently have a 1TB for my "DAZ Drive", so not a crazy size to migrate over once it comes. But that's my asset drive, Artemis is on a completely different drive. Which I also plan on migrating, but not planning on doing the entire project migration until CH4 releases. I noticed when building a test build the other day, not all files are downloading for offline mode. It's an easy fix. But easy fix or not, I no longer trust Google Drive. I've moved the "Build" directory to Dropbox and will see how that goes before doing the rest of the directory.

The date scene was one I've anticipated working on for a while and really happy with how it turned out. There are a handful of shots I need to wrap up for the scene but nothing that would cause delay. That said, once I get them out the way. I'll be working on the big scene for CH4. Fortunately, for those who can recall, I did a lot of the prep work at the beginning of development for the set.

As well as prep the majority of the costumes for the guests. So, on top of the INK girls, MC and Kindra. I dressed around 44 guests with costumes already. There are like 3 or 4 I still need to dress, but the guest list I created a few months ago already has the costume ideas jotted. I just need to create the scene subsets for them and they're ready. All that said, not a whole lot of prep needed for the final scene.

CH4 is currently at 3,354 story renders. After I wrap up the remaining shots I need to pose and render for the date, I'll be doing the remaining prep work for the final scene for CH4. This one I have a bit of jitters with since I'm finally re-introducing the LiDAR app. so lots of moving parts with this scene, but to say that it's next on the list is a big relief. I always feel like the wait is always the worst. Kind of like waiting 30 minutes in line to bungiejump, all these thoughts are crossing your mind while you wait. But once you're up and all strapped in. It's just a matter of saying "fuck it" and dive in, haha. Anyways, I'm excited for this update and I'm doing my absolute best to deliver a polished release.

Those in the Artemis tier, I'll be working on the next batch of customs today (Monday). If I don't get to you, you can expect yours on the following Monday (or the Monday after, depending on how far I get on the list).
