Nope. Mega link didn't even work when I tried it yesterday. This thread is a mess.
I seem to have some weird situation. I assume it's a bug, for some reason when trying to equip item cards to battle cards in my deck, I can only interact with the first battle card in the deck, same thing when trying to remove cards from the deck, I can only remove the first card.
Of course if i remove that card, the next card will become the first one and I'm able to interact with it, but it's become really annoying and I'm wondering if someone has any idea how to solve this problem or if they can actually interact with other cards so I can know for sure it's a bug and not intended behaviour.

Reinstalling everything solved the problem, in case someone encounters a similar problem.

Is there any way to change the fonts outside of the game?
The game consistently crashes when the first dialogue appears or when going into the message options menu. Since I can't go into the message options menu (because it also has a font I don't have? idk), I can't fix the font error from there.

Those setting are fine but they dont change system locale (unicode settings), you have to do that elsewhere.
For windows 10, go to control panel, select region, there will be a popup then select administration tab and hit the change system locale button and select Japanese.

I remember this game from a decade ago....I'm surprised it got translated!(even if it was machine translation) XD

Good question. As I pointed out in a previous post, there are apparently actual translators who use machine translation as part of their workflow, possibly to the point they edit down raw machine translation (admittedly with significantly more expertise than someone like myself or Redbeard). There's also something to be said about how even "proper translations" in a fan translation context can be low quality, which from my personal anecdotes has a lot to do with unfamiliarity with the target language (for example, someone tries to translate Japanese to English but they only have a modest level of proficiency with English).
Like myself, Redbeard mostly did this alone. This means that QC was mostly done at the behest of people reporting issues on the server since self-proofreading can only do so much. Furthermore, when it comes to the particular issue you mentioned, working to make the text fit the line length limitations is a bit of a learning experience (I also don't know the nature of the programs he used to help edit the files). If you can, please report those issues to Redbeard - he'll fix them.

for the first part - that is exactly why i am saying that using "Edited MTL"on this is incorrect as you'll need to use the same tag on 95% of fan translated and even some proffessional stuff.
For broken lines i dont think it's length issue. Case and point to show example with your lines
there are lines like this that fit just fine
But broken line can be like this which are clearly shorter. also i meet more of them as i go. up to about 20-30 by the chapter 3
What does leveling up your characters actually do? I didn't see any stat or function changes but maybe I just missed them.

Level up to character skills. free extra cards. sometimes improvements on cards stats. things like that
Is the installation guide up to date with the new translation? Meaning I have to download the main game, then the extra "Main Game & Append 1 RAW", "Append 2-3 & v2.0 RAW" and finally the translation patch in the OP?

installation guide in OP is up to date i think. those partial links are dead though. grab a full torrent that in OP separately. Do not pay attention to any english patches that are in that torrent aside from interface patch . you want fresh install (as in install guide). then apply patch provided in OP. then use interface patch from torrent.
Wow, the translation is actually half decent. I just wish the battle system was better. Damn, what would I give for a new Kamidori-like game. That game was the shit. I ignored all the porn and played it for the gameplay.
