Well, to put it mildly, yes. And to be honest, the game turns into a senseless leapfrog. + with such an attitude towards users, I think the game will hardly make it to the end

I'm past the prologue and first day. It is the first night, it's forcing me to go to the kitchen to get a drink of water. I go to the kitchen but there is nothing to click and nobody else is there.

They cannot exit the room as far as i remember, i suspect corrupted save file due to using cheats but im not sure.
I had the same issue unfortunately i had to reset the whole game im not sure how to otherwise solve the issue :/
