You're not alone, I too feel I'm leaning more towards playing games where there's at least some romantic entanglement between the MC and the female characters. Even if the game is your typical horny teenage/early 20s guy peeping on everyone and using manipulative tactics to seduce them, as long as a romance blooms from that then I'm fine with it, like in Summer with Mia; starts off as a typical game with a lot of manipulation and gratuitous sex for the sake of it, but by the end there's romantic feelings between Mia and the MC.
Being a DIK seems to be part of a growing trend of games that are putting story ahead of the sex scenes and as such are tending to include a lot of romance, even if the MC is still trying to get with half a dozen girls at the same time.
A) Yes, that scene at the end of Ep 4 sucked and should have been handled betterI found that main goal of this game is to piss off player, if possible. C) You are playing as the MC and as much as you might want to cut them out, they don't, hence why there is no such option.

The eroticism is that much more appealing because it's between developed characters. It's a simple matter of good writing making for a better pay off.

I dunno man, from the start I thought Josy was going to be the one, and the plot twist of Maya and Josy having a past relationship hit me hard. I didnt think I would be that invested in the character plots, but personally, that betrayal cut me deep. Shouldn't make a difference. The old lady from the car wash that Derek leaves with is or was a teacher so that's covered. The only thing on the list that gets missed is the egg the nerds one. Its been talked about on here that some of the DIK's have already talked about how hard it was going to be because they only had 2 pledges this time. So the theory being maybe they'll be given a break because of that. We'll see come June sometime.....

Yeah, which is why I hold out hope that we can distance ourselves further from the two of them. Rather go spend my energy on pursuing someone where the MC doesn't feel like a third wheel. I doubt we will have the option to stay away from J&M though, whole situation is awkward as fuck though.

How could you feel betrayed? MC doesn't behave so much better towards Maya and Josy, and never was traight honest about having "more than words" with another girls. And after I've replayed chapter 4, I think that they never intended to cheat on MC or to hurt him on any way.
I've seen a lot of hate towards Maya, but I think she was truly feeling something for MC and she has her own reasons to be so reluctant with sharing her feelings openly, we barely catch a glimpse of all the family drama she lived on.
