By the way is next update coming soon ?

*no offense *

since some people complain about how searching the keyword "Status Update" doesn't give the appropriate results
here use this: https://f95zone.to/search/80825528/?q=Have+a+nice+weekend+Dr+PinkCake&c[users]=N7,+Sorrow85,+Rykuto&o=date

i searched for the term "Have a nice weekend Dr PinkCake" from users N7 , Sorrow85 & Rykuto (sorted by date) as DPC always finishes his "update" post with this.
it works well (for me at least)

edit: quoted the wrong post bruh :KEK:

Hmm.... i am a bit weary. I heard Acting Lesson is quite depressing. I don't like depressing games. That's why i didn't like Good girl gone bad or Seeds of Chaos.

for now we're not at the level of AL at all, and it should be a fundamentally different game.

there are situations that could have dramatic / negative consequences, but for now nothing to report

Usually I like feel good games like Harem Hotel or Mythic Manor. Also VWM is one of those. Not big fan of depressing drama or NTR :D. Of course that's just me, no problem with those who like it.

Really hope to see more gloryhole scenes in the next season as I'm really into that sort of thing or the prostitution stuff in general. The way it's handled here is better than any game I've played.

There's just not enough data for meaningful speculation at this point. We know it concerns the MC's mother, it must have been sent by someone, and the MC's dad was willing to tell the MC about it (rather than destroy it, or alternatively to just read it over the phone).

There are very few theories that are outright excluded by that, so it's mostly just idle speculation at this point. The most common guesses seem to be a) it's some kind of conditional inheritance, b) the MC's maternal family want to meet him now for some reason, or c) the MC's mom didn't really die (either Neil lied or she faked her death).

Personally, I generally subscribe to the first theory and consider the third ridiculous. But all's fair until we get some actual clues to ponder.
Still think we won't get anything until ep 7. It makes a great cliffhanger to end ep 6 before we find out anything.

If not that specifically, possibly a more general Deus Ex Machina where MC gets contacted by a rich someone from his mother's side of the family and MC get a huge inheritance or something. Though this is a massive cliche that's in a few other VN, and I would hope DrPinkCake would be above writing such a cop out lol
There's been quite a few discussions on this before and I've always said that I don't see it as being "cliché". Yes, a lot of MCs in games seem to have an unlimited money tree that comes from somewhere, but it would actually be a significant development for this character and this story and it could affect his relationship with certain characters in an interesting way, like Quinn, Tommy, Rusty, Maya, Jill, and Sage.

There's great potential here to explore the MC's personality if given such wealth and what kind of value they place on it, because they seem like someone who could just as easily refuse it rather than take it and seeing how they navigate this kind of decision would be intruiging to see play out.

The game isn't saccharine sweet, but is not at acting lessons level either. It's a good blend with solid humor. There is only one scene that may affect you, as it did me, but it does have a chance to redeem itself as well. I think it's worth checking out. There is drama, but it's inline with the college movies from the 80's,90's and early 2000's.

If you want another vn that's really happy and good story I also recommend my new family. It's great and always leaves you smiling.

Acting Lessons wasn't at Acting Lessons levels either... until it hit the final quarter. I don't think BaDIK is going to go that dark, but we just won't know until we reach the end game.

So it's true then? Acting Lessons is really depressing?
Not really, no. It's over exaggerated. Well to summerize the story, i will tell you in a few lines:

Now, i mean; if you can have so many girlfriends in Acting Lessons, why would you feel sad about the ending?

I believe dpc said that he wasn't going in a direction like AL for this one. Where it was meant to be a generally happy story (with some drama of course).

Acting lessons for me was great until that final twist. It seemed forced for shock value. I don't regret playing it, but I'd never replay it.

So i take it the lewds compensate for that ending? :D And it doesn't seem as dark and depressing as Seeds of Chaos or Good Girl Gone Bad

I'd suggest playing it, the writing and character dialogue is really good. I wasn't aware of the twist, but if you're aware of it before hand I'd think that it'll impact you less. It has some great comedic moments in it. And yes the scenes are great too

edit:

It's definitely not like Seeds of Chaos, I never played Good girl gone bad, but I'm sure it's not like that either. I suggest downloading Acting lessons, play it all the way through as I feel, despite the twist/ending, is still worth the time to experience the story. DrPinkCake states that his stories cover items that may be upsetting to those who may suffer from depression or are in a dark place. Topics like substance abuse, physical abuse, cheating etc are all on the table, but it also fleshes out his stories more than others generally.

When I say AL was depressing etc, I'll explain/expand that comment here: When I play VN's like AL, Badik where they're story/character driven, I tend to put myself in the main characters place. I also tend to attach myself via roleplay to certain characters in those games. So when the twist happens in AL, It didn't depress me, just kinda threw me for a loop and left me unsettled. Badik did the same for me as well (as I wasn't playing with a walkthrough at that time) and the choices I made took me in a direction I really didn't like with an event. After realizing I made the wrong choices, I did a replay and all is well now. :)

So I recommend playing acting lessons, then download Badik and play through that one, you'll likely play through Badik a few times to get a good sense of what type of experience you want with the characters as there's a bit more choice in Badik than AL or other VN'S. Also, check out the walkthroughs for this game as if you're SET on a character or a few characters it'll help you make sure that you're choosing the right avenues to continue with those characters (so far).

Seeds of Chaos is certainly dark, but Good Girl Gone Bad doesn't have to be dark at all. You have a lot of choice as to how that game goes, and can get a lot of different variations and endings in an upbeat, positive story. You just have the option of going pretty dark.

I'm not a fan of dark porn, myself, and I've skipped Acting Lessons. I absolutely love Being a Dik, though. I highly recommend it. If you want to steer clear of any bumpy choices, you can always read the walkthrough that's posted on page 1.
