I remember people saying it'd work only for 0.5.0 and 0.5.1 but in his last update DPC mentioned 0.5.2 as well

The 0.5.2 version uploaded here is modified, that's why. A regular 0.5.2 would work.

If you've got the 0.5.2 version from the OP then it won't work because that is one with the contents of the rpa files unpacked and according to DPC, the patch can only be applied to a clean, unpacked version of the game.
