I’m enjoying that people are starting to realize that hero worship of DPC is misplaced. And he does have friends that monitor here. I’ve even had PMs saying I should shut up lol. I already bought the game. I’m not shutting up. Yes I will likely get banned here eventually, but I will speak my mind.

You guys do realize that without DnG the chapter would still start and end the same way?

Certain plot points are going to be hit in each chapter, the ones that Pinkcake wanted to hit, he hit and then along came DnG.

The episode might have came out sooner if not for DnG but the chapter would have been the exact same, except no DnG.

I enjoyed DnG though, so I'm glad it was there, I'm not a patron though(bought the game on Steam, not buying it twice), so I don't know what the reaction of customers was to DnG, but personally wouldn't mind seeing it show up again.
I think the point raised here is that rather than animating all the scenes for the DnG game, more nuanced, real game scenes could have been animated. A little bit more when looking after Sage (it didn't have to change the tone to be more sexual because obviously that was an important focus that it wasn't, but a few more finishing touches would have made that scene more pleasant).

As long as it's civil, dissenting opinions should be encouraged, otherwise it's just a big wank fest...

No, the steam & patreon saves are incompatible.

Because DPC (and players such as myself) enjoyed it?

If swift story progression was DPC's primary goal there wouldn't be any minigames at all. Certainly many of them are less enjoyable than DnG for me. I agree there's been enough DnG now that we've had a proper adventure & screwed all & sundry within it.

I suspect the later, but I'm not into KRJ so maybe wasn't ogling the renders as intently as you.

Don't think she's a tribeta either, just an unaffiliated nerd. Based on the pre-game exchange it appears KRJ's not fond of DnG & tries to avoid Sally, which would be unlikely if she were a tribeta?
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
I mean, when I first saw KRJ her face looked a bit generic, and she does look better now, but I don't know exactly why. She has a regular not-hot body and I don't remember if we got a full body shot this update to compare. (This one is the only screenshot I have and it happens to be for a meme :ROFLMAO: ).

I didnt mean it literally, but I guess the expression is kinda sus in this modern society we live in.

Like I said before in this thread I didnt mind the D&G on its own because I really like RPG games and the exploration.

Having said that, D&G felt bad in this episode because of my other opinions/hopes for this episode in general. I think what makes me feel worse about D&G in this episode is the fact that we waited an extra 1.5 months (5.5 months in total) for ep6 to drop and we got almost nothing done with the LIs

That means that those renders and "animations", that we waited more time for, could have been used with the LIs or with Derek, and not on a Sidequest that in my main Save i couldnt avoid (I dont know if you can avoid it or not depending on choice).

If this episode had more stuff with the LIs (and Im not saying only sex scenes) and less drama maybe it would have been better received, but we will never know that.
I think more reactions from the DnG players and would have made it better. Disagreeing with Sally could lead to more antagonizing and/or sexual tension and more character development with her and everyone else. It looks like a missed opportunity to me.

When you come across her in the library, that's one of the times where the DIK/CHICK affinity makes a big difference to how the scene plays out, but I get the impression nothing's gonna happen there.

He's creating one of the best porn games around. There are other good ones (some are arguably better), but this is one of the best. Flaws are inevitable, but they shouldn't detract from the overall achievement. I think I could write a good story, maintain consistent delineation between each personality and character, and create a branching but maintainable story, and I could program it too, but bugger me I don't have an artistic bone in my body when it comes to visuals. I'm impressed he's doing the whole thing himself. Some of the scenes are so satisfying (and I'm not talking about every time the MC nuts into some chick's face). I think he has every right to be proud of what he's achieved, I just hope the wheels don't fall off before he crosses the finish line (and I'm not intimating that he's headed for that end).
I agree with you, and for now the only real concern I have is that history is losing unity. the use of drama is a characteristic of DPC, you may like it or not, but it must be accepted

already compared to the first season where the center of the events was the Hells Week now I don't see a clear direction

in the first season, 3 out of 4 surprise endings were closely tied to the storyline of Maya (and Josy), and that was fine

now in the sixth chapter here we go again, for half of the players (or even more generally for half of the games) I don't think it's okay. the only other important twist was that of Jill and she is relegated to the middle of the episode, with very little pathos, little previous construction, even though the choice between Sage and Jill could already be definitive. I see a little confusion

P.S.-Also, i cannot use mega(free account)so which is the next best place to download this game from? I have limited data and want to download the entire game without retrying multiple times.Thanks.

I wish Dr Pinkcake would use WEBP for the images. It save at least 25% size over JPG or PNG file size. I think there is a something like that for video to. I have a limited data down also....

I agree with this 100%. While we don't need to know where the story is headed for it to proceed (it's a visual novel, it proceeds inherently) it's nice to know what we're trying to achieve. Hell Week was clear cut, it was a roller coaster ride but we knew to buckle in. Now the MC is just at college, if not for all the drama around him, his role is now to knuckle down and get in to his studies but to party like a DIK when the time is right, but because we're besieged on all sides with piles of drama, it's hard to know what's coming next and while it's fine for surprises to come out of left field from time to time, we do need to know our protagonist's main goals. Here are his various priorities (in no particular order):

  • Fix the DIK mansion
  • Help Sage get over her heartbreak so mc can get back into her pants (or maybe step up the emotional level in the relationship)
  • Get Tybalt out from between mc's cock and Jill
  • Brace for the pending drama surrounding Maya, her tuition and her dad
  • Determine whether mc needs to get involved with Quinn and her nefarious activities
  • Prepare for the fallout with the Jade Video getting in to the wrong hands
  • Come to grips with the fact that there is someone gunning for the DIKs and it's much worse than the petty rivalry between the DIKs and the Tri-Alphas
  • Find out who that traitor cunt is.
  • Work out how to get Riona to cum from vaginal (or anal if you think it's going to work) sex
  • Work out whatever the fuck is going on with Bella before mc gets in too deep and finds out she's a psycho killer or something
  • Read some more of the mom's diary (I hope that shit doesn't drag on and on and eventually reveal something we're all dying to know, I mean if you were dying to know you'd read that shit in one sitting! Like how Clay didn't just binge the tapes and be done with it in "13 Reasons Why" rather than dragging that shit on for eternity!
  • Deal with Tommy finding out mc's fucking Josy
  • Deal with Derek finding out mc's fucking Maya (like does Derek actually know the full extent yet?)
And there's probably another pile of "side quests" to consider. Not knowing which one is the next priority, nor being party to the decision of which one to do next has the potential to be a bit frustrating, but so far it hasn't got annoying.

but the first game of D&G had been harmless, even fun since you could spank the nerd.

but it was a little parenthesis in a chapter, this second one was instead a voluminous part (with the various possible endings perhaps the longest part ever) of a fairly "empty" chapter
so true ...
but i also feel like the timing was wrong
the first time was a nice surprise when things were light goofy and people weren't dead tired of semiannually getting hanged on cliffhangers
i would have liked if instead of a teaser we could get the whole game in game in ep 3 excluding all the ugly feminists and sword fight , could have been a nice teaser to upcoming sex scenes
as it has nothing to do with the main story he just could have released only the dng as a halloween stand alone few weeks ago or even a christmas suprise

the letter about the mother I thought who knows what upheavals it would bring, in the end a book to read on the return trip (from which I think the next phrase like "follow your heart" to face the next sentimental crisis will come out) and a sum of money even creates enthusiasm in the poor MC ...

so we just have to wait

in fact dreaming of having sex with someone before actually doing it would have had another effect than a faded copy in cosplay

I think that entire library scene achieved very little. The pixel hunting nonsense for returning the books to earn some more mansion cash was ridiculous (isn't there a Dewey Decimal system to make that shit simple rather than like hunting for Easter eggs?) None of the conversations went anywhere (a bit of risqué fondling with Maya was good), the studying was boring (I guess that's like all studying anyway), and the Sage interaction just let us know she was actually at college to study (who'd have thunk it). I still didn't mind the DnG game, but I accept that the entire library scene could have been deleted and it wouldn't have altered the story one bit.

also at this juncture DPC underlined the affinity between Josy and Jill (which apart from being one of the first people she met is not that it has all these reasons, indeed they should be "jealous" of each other), perhaps at least this will be important

but I believe that a new game of D&G was a request from his patreons, or that at least DPC thought it pleased them (perhaps based on the requests he receives for renderings)
And hopefully now that they've satisified that request they can leave it alone and we won't get anymore of this. Also, I feel like the story is taking a turn to where spending time playing a game like is not going to be something the MC is going to have the time ot interest in anymore.

I think you're right on that. If you've ever been on DPC's Patreon it's really quite astonishing. Beside's the usual gushing about Bella or Jill it's just one long stream of endless praise for every little thing he does. It would be a miracle if DPC didn't get an over sized ego in that environment.
It is quite troubling to think that DPC is seemingly surrounding themselves with sycophants and 'yes' men and is apparently extremely resistant to even the mildest of critiques. Obviously this is their game and they decide what's going to happen, but it doesn't hurt to allow some dissent every once in a while and to hear out people who have some constructive criticism.
