Even if they were in the background, they had a stronger presence/were more noticeable than after chapter 3 Josy.

Even when she is "on camera" Josy only fulfills her role as Maya's lady-in-waiting.
in the sixth chapter she has two individual scenes, in one she shows her underwear to MC in class (no consequence) and after she does the math quiz tutorial

Her character just fell apart after chapter 3. She just feels like a side character you can easily ignore.
I think if she wasn't introduced as MC's crush in the beginning she would've been like that(i.e. ignorable) from the start.

Josy, of all the girls, does feel like the most standard of all the girls. She's sexy but not overly sexy, well endowed but also very proportional, bisexual, literally the first girl you meet, friendly and not overly troubled, etc. Josy feels like the girl that is designed to attract the broadest audience, while the other girls are more individualized for various tastes.

I think it's pretty obvious DPC has a Mommie fetish. Milf's and older women are pretty thick on the ground. One Bella wasn't enough for him so he added two more on Swypper.

I can't rationally say the reason, perhaps for the fact that she represented the crush of the end of summer, the one that leaves you only regrets, and I have plenty of regrets, at first I was very taken by Josy, so much so that I forgave her practically everything .

but, I repeat, after facing Quinn at the beginning of the fourth chapter, Josy disappears completely.

for me it is significant that to get MC to talk to girls again, Maya confronts him in person, while Josy through a message ..
at the picnic Maya dictates the rules of the trouple and reassures the others

that courage and audacity, which had allowed the story that should not have been born and should not have lasted between MC and Josy to go on, has completely disappeared from the character.

and I self-censor myself on the possible dialogue with MC after the rejection and after the visit of Josy's father, which I decided never happened but is linked to a low sugar due to too much sex

So what was Jade mad about? What didn't Cathy know before going there? And where did she go? What IS the worst thing that ever happened? It's not sex tapes, there was no sex with those two this time.

I think Jade got butthurt that Cathy chose to go Bella's place over hers since they're close friends and didn't know about Jade's history with Bella including Stephen as well, maybe or her resigning without telling Jade first. I'm certain it has nothing to do with MC.

I agree that it's odd how Josy has taken a back-seat, but I do not agree at all with the implication that her lack of a gimmick or clique is somehow a bad thing.

Josy is the summer crush, and from that point of view she is better than the others

only that characterization was destined to run out, the summer ends at some point, and has not been replaced by anything else

Maya is the damsel in distress, she has to face real problems and she doesn't know how to do it, so she calls MC (or Josy or others) to the rescue

Jill is the "princess and the pea", far from the real world, but sensitive and pure.

Sage is the most complex character, in my opinion, at first she is a party girl, but then at every opportunity some nuances are added (she wakes up early in the morning to check the HOTs accounts, she studies seriously, she has problems with her family. ..)

Bella for now is a very, too, contradictory character, she would like to be Jill's guardian angel but she can't help but get her hands on MC, even if there is obviously something between Jill and Mc. for now she is the MILF of porn movies, who can't resist the plumber, the postman etc ...

I really don't think Cathy would knowingly do this to Jade.
Burke and Cathy met on some app like Swyper and didn't know who the other person was (or at least Cathy didn't).
They decided to meet up and.....the rest is history.


In one scene Jade tells MC how she found out about it.
Burke came home drunk and while having sex said something about Cathy

Yeah, she was MC's crush back in their old neighborhood. Now, gonna ask this question : How many decent looking girls were actually in that area? Josy had no real competition before B&R.
At B&R tho? There are tons of girls both more attractive than her and more available than her. She will not get the spotlight that much from this point.

She also doesn't have anything left to reveal too, you know. We know she is bi, she is in relationship with Maya, she is Tommy's step sister, she loves her dad, we know of her attitude, we know she likes both MC and Maya. There isn't a mystery as of now, so she lost her appeal imo.

I straight up hate Maya but gotta admit, Maya's even more interesting and relevant than Josy at this point. Doubt she will get focus at this point since we are already 6 episodes in and there are still Jill and Bella's stories left. We are only now starting on Sage as well. Sorry Josy fans, I feel you

before going to Burke's office, it could mean that either it was an impulse reaction, that Cathe went to Burke to talk about the matter and then in despair decided to resign, or that it was just something that Burke told her to persuade her.

the second hypothesis could include the discourse of betrayal.

You're right about Maya, she is the Damsel in distress. Certain critics of video games have accused all female leads of being D in d's when they really are not. Maya is the genuine article, and God is she annoying.

I also agree with you on the other LI's, especially Sage. I was first attracted to her because of her sex scene's, and it's not the scene's themselves but the dialogue during the scene's, especially in ep 4 & 5. (people have commented that DPC's animations are great, but I strongly disagree. Look at a game called A House In The Rift by Zanith for great animations)

Going back to Josy for a second, I do think her development as a character has been under served so far in the game. I hope this changes in upcoming episodes.

In my opinion it's only because Josy was turned into a sidekick of Maya's and nothing more. Even though there are hints of a potential Josy solo path, I fear that by the time we get there, if we get there, only a few besides completionists will care about it.

Yeah it seems that way unfortunately for some (not for me tho, there are many more interesting girls in the game ). Funny thing is, I didn't even consider that up until now, seeing it here you know. The only things left for her to have sex with MC crazy amount of times and Tommy learning MC and Josy. If MC and Josy are friends, Tommy angle becomes irrelevant too. Amazing

Yes I remember what Jade told MC, but the incident seemed to be somewhat past. The Cathy resignation, the conversation with Jade, and Cathy's level of intoxication seem to have more of an immediacy about them, like something just happened. It may have something to do with the nude pic of Cathy, but it just doesn't fit together somehow.
