Right now, I'm mostly working on Steam beta testing, bug fixing, etc.
But I'm also using my PCs by posing and rendering animations for the next update.
I'm polishing the walkthrough and releasing it to the Major DIK tiers and above this weekend.
Today, I want to talk about what's coming up in Season 3.
If you haven't played episode 8 yet. Please, stop reading right now, as you will get spoiled.
I would even advise you not to read my future posts until you have played and finished episode 8.
Spoilers are incoming below this sentence.
So, what is the plan for Season 3?
As you saw from reaching the end of Season 2, Episode 9 is not the next update that I will release.
Right now, we have reached an approximate midpoint of the main story.
Where we are right now, I have planned for a special part of the game that I have chosen to call "Interlude - Riding the Waves".
An interlude is a short story in the middle of an ongoing story, and that's what's next for Being a DIK.
Season 3 will start with this shorter interlude, and after that, Episode 9 will continue where you left off.
I will release the interlude before episode 9. This gives you some more Being a DIK content faster, and it also gives a perfect opportunity to make sure that the save transfers from Season 2 to Season 3 works for all of your games.
I wanted to manage your expectations for what the next release means in terms of development and content by telling you this.
The interlude won't be as long as the previous episodes have been, and it will primarily be focused on story events, not lewd content.
It's a shorter piece of the story that's too big to be handled within an episode and focused on story events that I want to tell in a certain way.
I hope that this will come to mean that the upcoming development cycle will be shorter as well. Both the planned animation and render count won't be near what you've seen recently from me.
That said, I know that the interlude will speak for itself and be both satisfying and worth playing for any fan of the game.
I will have more information about the interlude later and tease it more with previews and status updates.
After the interlude has been released on Patreon, it will be full speed ahead with episode 9 development.
Season 3 as a whole will feel fresh and fun; I have big plans for it.

I don't think the interlude is gonna be just Zoey riding waves and chad surfer cocks only to realize after becoming
But we might see some Vinny and Quinn related back Story like how Vinny got kicked out to become a full time drug dealer or his clashes with Tommy
But most probably after the bomb drop and ep 8 ending we might get some good heartworming Sage backstory (thats the only one left as we got some from every LI)

I can always do a quick CTRL through ep 8 to restore it if I wanted. I don't know. By design, it's not the MC's choice, like it's been said before. I believe in my morals and what not, if Chad doesn't have the stones to say it, the MC shouldn't say it for him.Don't do it if you want a complete game... there are many many routes and variables to mess with so it's not a bad thing to have states like that... just saying !
But I have 6-9 months to figure out if I want to do it or not

Wow i can't wait to play Interlude in the summer and then episode 3 in autumn so brace yourself guys one update per year here it comes, yaaay...
No, since the release of the last update, he has lost 4 000 patrons. How much do you think he will lose if he makes a release a year? DPC is a smart guy and understands that 2 releases a year is the best option that he has adhered to for a long time.

he also got almost 4000 in two weeks after releasing the episode, so he didn't even lose anything compared to before Ep. 8 release

Not exactly. The guy gets an historical peak when he releases an update, and a few days later loses most of those new patrons. This time he had about +13.000 patrons before the release, got about +18.000 just after the release, and now he has about 14.000 again. He probably gets a good increase in his incomes from Patreon every time he releases an update, and another one from Steam, I suppose. Probably 4 updates a year would be the ideal rate, but for that I suppose he should follow Quinn´s comercial advice:

The picture changing at the end has me suspicious. Hopefully it isn’t another unforeseeable “bad end” like Cathy in the car. That said I think there’s more to the threesome than just “sex”. Sage goes into her reasoning before the threesome. Talking about how she’s spoken to alumni and they often say the same thing.
Sage isn’t specifically worried she’s missing out sexually. She’s worried that once college is done with she’s just gonna be joining the rat race. Quinn suggested the threesome because… well it’s a porn game but also because it was something on her bucket list they could do right then.
This is the problem with the game being heavy on porn. Everyone’s “feelings” manifest as fucking… but there’s more to sages worries than just sex.

That's basically what it's been since this game got started. Hopefully the waiting time in-between the updates will shorten, but for now, yeah, two per year, 4 more years total (for now) until it's fully done if DPC said we are at the halfway point
Sage said she liked to see MС fucking other girls and it's weird. Perhaps this is a hint of some kind of open relationship between Sage and MС.

That's bound to happen since Tommy TOLD you and not suggested it that he invited the Pink Rose staff for the party... however this will have plenty of options according how you played the game up to this point
That remains to be seen... I would not hope for another season 3 chapter if I were you... 2022 will be plenty for him to get the Interlude out and chapter 9 ( it would be quite the strech to drop another chapter 10 for christmas... let's be realistic here if it happens GREAT ! if not... nothing newsworthy !

I don't think the interlude will be so big that it will postpone the release of episode 9 until the fall. I still see the Interlude as a planned part from Episode 9.
