Exactly my point... Like you can have all the goldenboy stuff and confliction but at least give us the option to do something about this if we want. How on earth is there an acceptable ending where MC doesn't get confronted about this and all main interests lose interest about him? Mona literally left. Not trying to be naive or sensitive, it's not unrealistic at all. But any ending without MC losing all the main girls would totally be. Just like you said, guy thinks so much about Chad being gay and we get a choice on that but that other thing? Nah "she's evil" that's the best we get lmao.

No idea if this helps you are not, but think of it as DPC having finite time to put ressources into the game. So when he writes it and determines wether there is a choice or not, it may simply be for reasons that the time allocated for a certain episode just doesnt allow for it. We also have to consider that we are halfway into the story, maybe the Quinn vs MC confrontation is a big part in a future season and it just didnt fit earlier.

Season 1 & 2 if you just look at the bare bones of it is the MC getting popular with all the girls, now imagine a huge conflict between the MC and Quinn right of the bat. Sarah, Melanie, Rio, Camila scenes would disappear because he wouldnt be the chill, easy to talk too MC anymore, he would threaten their buisness. Then their is Sage and the other HOTs, with the MC beeing new and all, I have no idea how they would react.

In the end DPC drives the bus and we're all in the backseats, we can bitch and moan and point out flaws and discuss cool or in our opinion better options, but certain things are harder to understand when you only have 50% of the story. So my advise would be to enjoy the parts you like and discuss improvements you would like to see here with us, but in a somewhat respectfull manner. I failed at that too sometimes, especially after the interlude and that speechbubble disaster, but in the end there is a reason why we're on page 9252, because wether one likes it or not, the game makes us engage as a community of fans.

She could have been knocked out on the street and a loryy could pass over. end of story.
She is dealing with the shady stuff hustlers do for a living.

To add to TimHawk point, its the difference between an "in story answer" and "real world answer." Also known more famously as the Watsonian or Doylist answer, good thing to google and read about in depth.

When something doesnt make sense in say a [random TV show name here] the answer can be as easy as that money ran out half a season ago so the ending was scuffed and not worked on, or it randomly got renewed and the ending is ignored. This is the Doylist reason. Its the real world circumstances that forces the story to be in a specific way. When you look at any type of media in that way so much stupidity suddenly makes perfect sense.

In any case, the Watsonian answer would be that the story is not ready for the crash of Quinn and Sage yet, its too early and too much is going on, the Doylist answer is just as TimHawk said, where just barely 50% in so far. 16-20 episodes of DiK to be made.

Man what an approach, let me feel like I'm MC and be pissed at why I'm dumb in the game. Now I'll have this sophisticated approach pop up immediately no matter what happens next and won't care as much as I did before. Appreciate your input. Won't lie and say that I knew about this in terms, of course had an understanding but didn't really care to find out there's so much info about it and even names. All of us are bugs and stuck in this flytrap of a game, theres 9000+ pages of different reactions to good storytelling right here in our faces.
All of us were honeydicked, came for porn and found a well written story instead. We are all captivated for different reasons and also like and dislike different parts of the story. I wouldnt remove anything that Dr Pinkcake have created thus far, it wouldnt be the work that I'm already liking right, snip it and it becomes something else. Good storytelling is often correlated with popularity. There are many of us too. If it truly didnt captivate us anymore we would simply drop it and not even think about it anymore right? We've all done it. Something in a bookseries, or tv show suddenly utterly breaks the immersion for yourself specifically and there is no recovery. You stop caring and drop it and no longer discuss it.

Sometimes considering the other approach enables you to see past whatever missed the mark entirely to you, and you can still enjoy the work (one example being riff tracks over terrible movies). Sometimes the doylist part makes you hate it even more. Things like Game of Thrones and new star wars for me personally falls into the latter category. No redemption there, ever.

I personally dislike Jill immensely. I dont think she acts wrong instory or is badly written, to me she reads a specific kind of crazy which I do not like nor consume in my media. Probably not unlike how people see Isabella as axe crazy (yeah yeah, ill end up in a pile of gory meat in her closet ) I see mourning maybe, regret, a bit of anger, and maybe loss, just not which kinds.

On the other hand I have mild contempt for Jill, all "out of story reasons" as the tropes she is made up off is shit I dont like and probably never will. If this game was about her and winning her heart I would have left and never looked back. Here I am presented with a choice. She is one interpretation of what Fuckface can go for and it is still very valid despite my personal dislike. I choose to see her as the black outline around art to make it pop, she makes the other girls pop more. This is one way how i choose to view her existence and thus I wouldnt want her out of the story.

Fuckface seems to react fairly consistent to me, based on the weeks he is having instory. Constant drinking, classes and frat stuff. Then again I dont self insert as so many seem to do. To me this is like reading a book or watching a TV show, we see the MC and his family, some of the views and lessons he have learned and is discovering. We dont get to steer, we get to follow along, watch and slightly influence. So much 3rd person view. MC is definitely not us.

For those that have issues importing the game from the BeingADIK-0.8.2-pc into BeingADIK-Interlude-pc-lin, make sure you run the game from the same executable type. I.e. BeingADIK if you play from the BeingADIK.sh and in the interlude you start it with BeingADIK.exe under wine you will not be able to see the files to import.

You need to run from from the .exe under wine or both with the .sh
Else you'll be wondering like me why the import function is not working

Sure she understands it... but I think YOU and your fellow users who have the same argument here don't really understand how women actually work ! ( especially in this very case where we have a noob on strange waters... she and almost all the others who's confidence level ain't at the level of GOD would choose to not engage into the uncertain... but that's something you folks would not get in a million years since you are still looking at things from Fuckface' perspective )

Its not about her getting disappointed for something that she should cut the MC some slack, in my opinion, but to be fair its at least pretty much consistent to Jill's writing in previous episodes, its the fact that she holds that initial impression to a higher regard than the climbing into her room, like Lana and the mooooon, helping her with the recital, one of her life dreams and running across town to declare your love/save her from Tybalt's 'dates'. Be honest all three of those instances would have been the climax of a rom-com if it was a tv show, or movie. (I'm not sure if you can do all 3, I am positive you can still do the first 2 at least, been a while since I did a Jill run)

That entire problem could have been avoided if she cut you off completely right than and there, instead of stringing you along, where you do these grand gestures and shes like LOL, no.

After a while, you can be as charitable as possible with DPC, but he did drop the ball with the choice in EP6 and then instead of correcting it in the next 2 episodes, he doubles down on it. Dropped Jill from 3rd favorite for me to just slightly above Maya and behind most of the side girls. Which is a shame, I was looking forward to the slow-burn, Lady and the Tramp love story.


On a less serious note, Amelia will also be divorcing her husband, she just doesn't know it yet. I'll make Jill call me daddy, that will be my revenge

Naaaa Joker is very niche. I think the clothes MC is going to wear will be a, little, more normal like a spokky man costume, like the bully protagonist, another would be, the slutty nurse. Regardless of all that, it would be cool if the MC could choose his costume for Halloween.
