I've since been testing different scenarios in the provided spreadsheet but as BadAssPutin mentioned before, the neccessity to basically bruteforce a massive amount of possible combinations finally had me stop now, rather than spending days going "but what if I change this small detail?" xD

Thanks to ename144 and fakitap for sheding a new light towards my "study". Indeed, I have neglected the sophisticated XP generation as I strove for efficiency. But since there is no punishment and a potential gain for waste, I have tried my best to do some reworkings.

Hi and it's definitely not a bother. In fact I was shocked that someone was able to set up a modifiable spreadsheet to calculate the best approach. When I first started thinking about the minigame and how to try and go through it efficiently I wanted to do that as well, but thinking about the sheer number of possible order/combination of restored rooms for each Assignment and the fact that I would always have to take into account differences in naturally gained stats (e.g. that someone working in a team of 3 rather than 2 would have to automatically take into account that their Clean/Repair/Salvage will now be 2 higher the next assignment etc.) made me give up on that approach and simply aim for "a possible solution" rather than "something that can cover all possible solutions". As such I'm really impressed by the approach you took to get there. This should make collecting data on how to go through the minigame far less tedious in the future.

As far as the investments go I was fairly sure that Dumpster would be incredible value for its investment (how much exactly is variable since you will likely restore some rooms on your last assignment and these rooms would not generate xp for you. In the order I used it would generate at least 170 xp (technically more because any xp gained like this increase your stats and could lead to more bonus points and thus even more xp generated) for $4 and at least 42.5 xp/$ seemed too tasty to pass up.
However your spreadsheet also made it clear that I was wrong on other accounts when it came to the investments. I had always assumed that the Work-investment would be the worst by far (simply because you spend far less time working than restoring rooms, making it impossible for that investment to lead to decent ROI) and I was a bit iffy about the Salvage-investment (because the rooms generally need less salvage-stats than repair or cleaning, so your salvaging will often overshoot the target value and be wasted) but I was under the impression that the Cleaning- and Repair-Investments were actually worth it (and even went as far as to claim that the Repair investment is "mandatory" early on, since the DIKs are so much worse at that stat). Your sheet has shown that that is not true, which was very good to know.

I failed to find a way to get as close to completion of the minigame in 6 assignments as I did with the investments, but considering the "6 Assignment Plan" is unreliable (expects a lot of work-rerolling and STILL needs you to get 9$ outside of the minigame) and was intended to be more of a "worst case scenario" it really should not matter that 6 says seems more difficult without investments. As soon as you reach 7 Assignments however the non-dumpster investments become obsolete as reaching the stats to work for the extra $15 you now need will always cost you more than the xp you gained from buying them at the start.
They do seem to be in about the expected ranking of usefulness (Repair > Cleaning > Salvaging > Work) but even the Repair-investment is not as worth it as I has estimated it would be. Thanks for the clarification on that

When it comes to the topic of xp-maximization however there is an issue that, if my assumption is correct, could make the approach of maximizing xp early far less worthwhile. I'll put that in spoilers because I wouldn't want someone to take it as fact before I'm sure it's actually true (and since I don't know anything about renpy I wouldn't know where to look for the minigame calculations in the scripts to check):

However I will parrot you and say that reading your discussions and the difference in approach towards the same problem is a pleasure. Doesn't make any of us any less weird for being so invested in the spreadsheet minigame in a game that is about drama and sex, but I'm ok with that

In this game afaik you could only impersonate the MC. So to recap your points 3 and 5 (which is 3 x mil) you were boiling with self-hate all along during playing through these 6 chapters - I don't know what kind of therapy this is - you must be exercising some major demons...

However, I will address this as is.
Yeah so I in general hate MC that are walking 18-22 year old walking glands, boning everything they come across, including their own family in a healthy proportion of those. There are a couple of exceptions to this disliked-Timestamps and Sisterly Lust come to mind, along with Away from Home.

I very much have to like the MC to really enjoy the AVN, more than just watching it for the girls.
I prefer more mature MC such as Rebirth, Heavy Five, Picture Perfect, Leap of Faith, Depraved Awakening, SWTA: The Author, City of Lost Dreamers, Life Happened, The Sorcerer. They can all be walking pussy magnets, but they have a relatable character for the MC.

I realize many of the fans on here and elsewhere can relate to the MC of BaDIK easier as they are probably about the same age. I find most of the folks who actually support the games with money or useful criticism are a tad older than the 18-22 set.

So while I have listed why I don't like the MC in BaDIK, I dislike the writing even more. I know that DPC doesn't publicly subscribe to this forum, because he got butthurt with the things folks say. I know he will ban you pretty much instantly from commenting on his Patreon or discord page if you are not sucking his ballsack dry. I paid for the game two ways, one on Patreon, which I was banned from typing a reply to, and thus dropped my sub, and Steam where I simply bought the game out there.

I am, as I have said many times, a fan of DPC on his renders... really great if you ask me, his story..I give it a 4/10 at best... I wish he had done a better job on the MC but really that is simply because like most folks you will project yourself into that pussy bounty hunter MC, and for me at least, having one Neil's age or even Stephen Burke's age would have been preferable for me.

So while I appreciate your advice to seek help on my issues, perhaps this post will alleviate any lasting concerns for my well being.

My biggest ticks with MC is the way DPC writes him as an oblivious, clueless idiot most of time. Don't even get me started on that ridiculous fucking hairstyle.

Concerning DPC being butthurt - he is putting a lot of effort and thought in this game he has my empathy. Yet saying that - DPC should be able to accept well-intended critic.

And on a more serious note: Nice to see that this might mean there will be a bit more of a focus on Josy exclusively in Ep7 since she seems to be, as of right now, by far the least developed of the main LIs.

I'm replaying the game from scratch, re-unlocking everything along the way, but I have to ask. Did something change in the last update? I've started over several times already, with all kinds of chick / dik levels, but Maya's scene in Episode 2 just won't fucking happen.



Can someone please help me? I don't want a full save file, I don't want to use cheats, I just want to figure out why the fuck I can't get this scene this time around. Last time I played this game, it was when chapter 4 was released, and I had no issues unlocking it then.

I rotated the image to try to get a better idea, I'm not sure she is floating face down in the water. She definitely wet, but I really have no idea where is this and what is happening., but this is definitely not the Hots's pools

Don't have either Massive CHICK or DIK status when you go back to Maya's place after the party, kiss her and you'll unlock the scene.

Well i been in a simular situation once in real where I was dating this girl and she suddenly went on vacation with a bunch of friends and then later when she back home she was ignoring me till I went to her place and there her new boyfriend opened the door and told me, she didn't wanted to see me anymore. I was like dumbstruck, coze i always been nice to her, didn't hurt her and all, but if you really love someone then you just want them to be happy no matter what choices they make.

A selfish guy would be hurt, coze too them they possessions, but unselfish guy would take it like a man and be happy for her she still happy even it without you, and on top in this game he has many girls he can be with, it not like he will end up alone, you have Jill, Sage and Bella, not to mention all the other side dishes, Rione, Quinn, Jade, Cathy, Lily, and who knows what other girls.

Also it not a closure, there is always the chance they end up breaking up and one of them can come back to you, in life nothing is certain and alot things can happen. Everything depend on how you take things, wanna be constant pessimistic or stay always optimistic, and the way this MC is raised was to be constant optimistic wether he be a dik or chick.

Choices like that is why doing a man-whore route will become more & more difficult as the game progresses. If you're not pursuing Jill she won't show up at all in the first place and if you're not going after Sage you're given the option go help her or not. Expect more choices like that moving forward weather you like them or not.

it's actually a choice between two really insignificant options (from MC's point of view)

Sage has a bit of flu, she's not dying, if Mc goes to see her the next day what changes?

Jill showed up suddenly, and while celebrating his birthday is a kind thought, that MC already has a plan for the day is believable. Mc doesn't know it's a great plan to let him know they won't see each other again.

I am not saying now that they must lie unconscious in a burning house, but it is not a choice that I would expect to have this irremediable impact.

the plot says you have to go to Jill, Sage we don't know how she will react, absolutely losing 2 RP may not be a drama, Jill facing Tybalt alone, given her mental recession, could be dangerous
